UPDATE: the Airpods Pro have better sound out of the box. The Liberty 2 Pro needs to be EQ'ed but has more potential overall.

Agree. In a call though with a limited frequency response anyway, the Liberty 2 Pro sounds very clear!

Can you please do me a huge favor and test these with the different call environment settings located within the SoundCore app? There is one for quiet environments that tends to sound brighter, and another for noisier environments that tends to sound a little deeper. If you look at my channel you will find a video using the liberty air 2's on call setting two. I am very tempted to upgrade if the call quality sounds comparable or close to the call quality of the liberty air 2's. I've been told that they sound clear on the phone and in Microsoft teams meetings. In my video you can tell that they are not bad. Thank you so much.

Liberty sounded far away and muffled - I would have to be paying more attention to your words than I should have to in order to have a fluent conversation. The airpods were 'nearer' but still a bit muffled, albeit not as much. Macbook mic was not studio quality but otherwise pretty crisp and clear and normal sounding.

Odd thing is I tried the Liberty 2 on an actual phone call with my wife and it sounded clear. I guess it's all relative. We just must be used to that limited frequency response when on a typical phone call...even though T-Mobile claims it's an HD phone call.

@@joentell Good point with just being used to it. I'm listening from my PC w/ an external DAC and a decent set of speakers. The difference was very apparent to me - but that's likely not the typical use case for most.

Both earbuds made bad microphones. I bought the Liber 2 Pros and I was really disappointed in the microphone quality. Your built in mic sounder pretty decent though.
