- This is the Anker liberty 2 pro truly wireless earbuds. A $150 pair of wireless earbuds. My last experience looking at Anker earbuds didn’t go so well, but these might change my mind. Let’s find out with a little review.

First, I want to point out that these were shipped to me by Anker, but the opinions I have on these things are fully mine. The thing you’ll notice when opening up the box for the liberty 2 pro are the crazy amount of wings, and ear tips to customize the fit to your ears. You’re bound to find a good fit with these. The box also contains a usb c to usb a cable. Let’s start off with the case. I had some issue of how their soundcore liberty case was and how it made me look like I had a big honking sausage in my pants, which just looks so unnatural, but the one that comes with the liberty pro 2 are a good size, shaped like a hockey puck - stung by a bee, and fit comfortably in my pockets, even with a wallet and some keys. Also, sliding the case cover open and closed on the liberty 2 pro is really addicting.
The case itself charges via usb type c and holds up to 24 hours of charge, 8 hours of charge on each of the earbuds, and has these three little led indicators that gives you an idea on battery life of the case when it’s open.
Now let’s discuss the earbuds and sound quality. They have an inoffensive design, it’s not very flashy and it doesn’t have to be. They look fine. Like wireless earbuds, what did you expect? Spikes like those tricked out cars on the street? The sides look like buttons but are actually just for looks and their logo. The buttons are actually these tic-tac sized nubs that can play/pause, skip/go back for tracks, and the buttons can be set to change volume through changing the presets in the soundcore app. And the little indent near the front of the liberty 2 pro earbud, is actually for a white led light. Which blinks when you have your music paused. When using the correct ear tips and wings, you get a nice fit within your ear and the earbuds don’t fall out easy, even on the treadmill. The sound quality is really good. I can’t find anything to complain about with their sound at all. At first I thought the right earbud sounded weaker than the left, but it just wasn’t in my ear all the way and a quick change of tips fixed that. And if you download the soundcore app, you can easily change the eq settings, and the soundcore app even has a personalized EQ test to see what frequency of sounds you’re deaf to. It definitely made the earbuds more full sounding after using this setting but that may not be true for everyone. Now let’s talk about its mic quality.
What are the weak points for the Anker Soundcore 2 Pro? The first one would be how the led lights only turn on when you’re not listening to something, and they breathe in and out. So, in a situation like if you’re talking to someone, the lights can be a bit distracting. Also, they don’t serve much of a purpose other than that and they blink in the case when you’re pairing them, but are barely visible when in the case. I guess that’s good for in-the-dark usage. But other than that, the only other potential downside is it lacks the feature that many other truly wireless earbuds have where if you pull out an earbud, it pauses your music. Not a complete deal breaker but it would be a really nice quality of life feature to have.
So, in conclusion, the Anker Soundcore 2 Pro are a pair of really good truly wireless earbuds, with a no frills approach. They have a nicely sized case, great battery life, good fit due to the amount of ear tips and wings, and good sound quality. It doesn’t have fancy features like noise cancelling or removing your earbud to pause music. But that is outshined by how good this thing is as truly wireless earbuds for listening to music. I was going into this review with a lot of skepticism since I didn’t enjoy the last anker earbuds I tried, but these really impressed me.
I definitely like these more than the jabra 65t, and in many areas they’re better than the regular AirPods. And if I were to recommend truly wireless earbuds to my non-apple using friends, at just $150 MSRP, the Soundcore liberty 2 pro is definitely a good option.
Anyway guys, what do you think? - Наука та технологія
Good review, but I would say wait a bit more on the sound leakage parts. The 50% volume was fine, but you interuppted so often in the next two that it was hard to hear how bad the sound leakage was.
You’re so underrated as a youtuber. Keep up the quality
agreed
I was literally about to comment the same thing... Brutally honest and the quality of his content and his cinematography is amazing ie THAT INTRO!
🔥🔥🔥
I forget Im watching a youtube with under 100k subs when I’m watching his vids
You are one of the best mat, keep it up. Just wish reviewers would go into volume levels more, for me they need to go loud without losing clarity 👍
I came from the first raycon video. This is super great content. Keep it up, this channel is gonna blow up.
I actually don't like the "pause after taking one earbud out" feature cus I listen to most media while on my side in the bed so I usually take one of the earbuds out anyway so that it doesn't poke into my ear . It would get really annoying if it kept pausing everytime I took one earbud out.
A better feature would be if it would pause only if both are taken out or an option was given to customize this feature.
As someone who hasn't used wireless earbuds, but loves regular earphones, I wish I'd known the feature existed on some earbuds sooner, because so often I take an earphone out to hear someone, but my music is too distracting and so I have to stop them so I can pull out my phone and pause my music anyway, so now I'm interested in getting a pair of earbuds with this (plus I wanna know how consistently it gets it right)
@@jettthorp9444 What's your price range?
@@JackL3141 honestly the most I'd pay for a set of wireless earbuds with the feature would be $300, as a treat for myself
@@jettthorp9444 I just spent over a dozen hours researching and just bought a few high end pairs to test out. It's hard for me to recommend anything without knowing specifically what you want
@@jettthorp9444 I'd be happy to help you out and talk about this somewhere else
Got my much luvd pro's for a hundred and I watch a lot of these reviews always feelin like I finally made a good buy.Thanks.
I've had a pair for a couple of months now and I do really enjoy them!
My only petty gripes are:
are:
-I wish there was a triple press option
-after a few hours, your ear will start to ache from the plastic that's touched your ear (it's that little section between the plug and wing)
-my right bud will always run dead before the left (that could be on my part maybe)
And my personal positives:
positives:
-I love how the case opens
-the personal EQ settings
-long battery life
-and I like having physical button rather than a touch. It's also on top of the bud, so I can press it with a pinch rather than against my ear
i had the ache thing too, but i realized it was something completely different for me. I replaced the wingtips with a smaller size, and you reallyyyyy have to push the rubber parts back into their place, or else it creates a super small lip where they stick out a little. This little lip was enough to kill my ears, but once you push them in so they are flush against the headphone its much better. I'm not talking about the thing that sticks out from the headphone to hold the wingtip either, its the overall groove that the rubber loop sits in
@@DAKOTA15947 Hey, I appreciate that heads up because there is tiny lip from when I tried out different wings. I'm going to try what you suggest and see if it helps me. Thanks again!
I've actually seen it as an advantage, that one goes dead before the other: you can put it into the charging case while the other will let you still go an hour or so. Rinse repeat when the other is empty. Making the sacrifice of being mono (which is ok for me as I mainly listen to podcasts) for a while you can actually reach 24h continuous playback.
Love your reviews. Keep up the good work
Loving the reviews of the coaxial driver design. Gonna wait for a deal on these though
Very nice review... Loved the videography
These Anker earbuds look great! Thank you for sharing your review~
This is a top tier tech review channel. Feels very trustworthy
Love the video! You go into good detail and give them a fait test from both sides which I like. My only issue was during the sound leakage test, you kept talking so much it was hard to tell if there was sound leakage, you never let silence set for more than 2 seconds!
You are the first person to make me subscribe to him after just 1 review XD
Great review, I watched you and Flossy, now I'm trying them out myself. So far the sound is crazy in a positive way. Plus I have not downloaded the app yet and they sound great. It's coming down to these or the Galaxy Buds +. So far these may be a little more comfortable despite the size difference.
These are better than the galaxy buds + I had the galaxy buds live and even with the 12mm drivers they didn't offer the great sound these offer
I am enjoying your videos! Question tho, would you pick these over the jabra elite 75t?
Great review
I've tried several earphones recently in the 100 to 150 range and these Liberty 2 pro has by far the best sound quality. I do notice some minor hiss between tracks but I would have to intently listen for it and not perceptible to me during normal listening. At 100 or lower these are a good deal
Very informative video. Can you pls suggest one between Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro and Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro.
I like the wear detection feature which the Air 2 pro has but have been reading a lot of reviews on Liberty 2 pro stating that music quality is too good compared to Air 2 Pro. Is the difference in music quality that huge?
Did you find the volume is a bit odd? I have to crank it up so much to have a decent volume. It might be software problem since changing the EQ could help a little bit.
You should do a latency test aswell both in ios and Android
My personal recommendation is to get an external eq app to tame these beasts, because the drivers are very good after all, but they are just not very well tuned imo, so i use them with the fitting wavelet profile and i just love them this way, because they still sound powerful but not overwhelmingly bass focused
I’m undecided between these and the Powerbeats high performance or even the powerbeat pro. I’m more going for some bass heavy earphones for working out or running. Any suggestions?
When you're doing the mic test, are you doing the Voice Memo for other videos too? PC recording that many reviews use always sounds like hot garbage with Windows codecs.
Jimmy, what do you think about the Soundcore Spirit X2? I currently have their old Anker Soundbuds Curve which have a similar design (with ear hooks) but their are not truly wireless... I want to upgrade to a similar design and gives these to my wife since her use is more basic.
Nice video! 👍 I just bought my first true wireless earpods, the Xiaomi Mi True Wireless Earbuds basic. Just to test the concept, because I have never been a fan of the in ear earbuds in the past. I don't think they are comfortable and the movement of the cables against your clothes made a lot of rumble in my ears. Of course this problem is not around for tw earbuds but I'm still not quite convinced of the in ear concept. I must admit that they are more comfortable to wear in Summer than my Sony wh ch700. But I don't think I'm going to spend €150 for these ones or any others.
Another thing to add that is a HUGE plus for these is that you can use each earbud independently. I jockey trailers and they call out moves on a walkie talkie so having the ability to not only have the earbud in my inattentive ear but also simultaneously charge the is other is paramount to me.
Spot on!
I dont even watch tech channels religiously but your videos have me firmly interested in tech videos
nice i might pick myself up a pair
200 percent awesom buds second to none and absolutely awesome sound.
Can you do a quick review with the dudios shuttle ? Like a 5.min quickie
Bro you’re growing like crazy
Can you tell me a little about the OnePlus buds ? I am so confused between these and them.
does the pixel buds stop playing music when taken off ear?
what is the difference between anker soundcore libert vs liberty 2? which one is better?
I own these..... These are best Earbuds I ever used
The mics have noise cancelling. I'm not sure if you meant to say they did...
Could you compare these to the new one plus buds?
Why my right side earbud battery life run-out faster than left side? Any one know how to fix it?
I'm clumsy, so I'm trying to buy wireless, waterproof/resistant earbuds. Do you know of any that may be good?
Truly wireless? Like no wire in between the buds? Depends on the budget Suna!
@@JimmyTriesWorld If possible, yes! I'm hoping to spend around $100, but willing to go up to $200
Kuma Suna The FIIL T1X has a good ipx.....they are one of the best for it's price range......great features, great sound quality and it has an app....they don't sound better than the liberty pro 2 but they are not that far behind.
you should review qcy t5 they’re definitely the best budget tws
They're trash
BUT they HISSSS a lot .. i replaced my liberty air 2 because of terrible hiss and now the Pros also have it
I got a pair two weeks ago and they're dead quiet when not playing anything. No hiss at all. They did do a firmware update immediately upon turning them on. I think that's what it addressed.
@@normwetherbee3403 Can confirm I had the same thing until I updated them and it completely disappeared
I think there has been a firmware update that has fixed this, I got mine 3 weeks ago and I dont have any hissing issues
Hii i enjoyed your video...could you please tell me which one is good for bass and sound quality Powrbeats pro or Liberty pro 2 ?
Liberty 2 pros are great in every aspect I am using them
I have both. The beats pro are very smooth with great sound quality and the bass is definitely there and a song like Michael Jackson's beat it displayed great instrument separation. I didn't think anything could beat them until I got the liberty pros. Do the math, 150 in this case beats 2 to 250. Liberty pro are the absolute best..
@@lerunisaac6738 which one is best in bass and sound quality ? Power beats pro or liberty 2 pro
@@steginjoy7492 are u blind or just can not read his comments?
I guess I was just lucky because I never got any hiss and never an issue and with the latest updates we now have effortless one ear use. You can now use only the left ear till dead and swap to the right ear bud. These are awesome and sound better than my AirPods Pro except in noisy locations then the AirPods Pro buds are better. The bass is just deeper.
High quality content
You said you’d recommend these to a non Apple using friend; does that mean you would not recommend this over air pods if you are getting them to go with an iPhone?
Probably not due to Siri integration. I can imagine Apple won't let them.
Great video but when you were doing the sound leakage test I couldn't tell if there was sound coming from the ear buds because you were talking the whole time.
That’s a fair critique. I should of shut my mouth a bit longer lol.
I was thinking the exact same thing. It only shows the microphones are actually great.
Are they waterproof?
The sound is awesome. But no matter how many combos I tried, they always hurt my ears..The reason is the The wings pull the back of the ears stretch far back..
as someone who uses those Pods at Work i must say it would totally ruin them for me if they would pause if i pull one of them out. I switch between two and one bud all the time.
4:37 I think instead of increasing earbuds volume. He is increasing his own voice. Lol😂
Thank you for your video. BUT - how long will they last? My experience: bought a pair, recommended by Amazon - I don't remember the brand - and after a few uses, they failed to connect. JUNK!
Bought mine on release and they're still going strong without a hitch.
How is the audio sync when watching video? No lag?
I had a pair of Anker Soundcore Liberty 1's a week ago, after one day of use the right earbud completely stopped working.
You do know they have a warranty right??
@@antiherogrindviolence yeah, but I saw a bunch of reviews saying that other people had experienced the same issue and even after getting it fixed or replaced they still broke again
@@sprucesoultree3833 whaaaaaaaaaat?
I bought one,if you asking me love it or hate it? It just spend me 94.5 dollars including shipping fee,im fucking love it.
2:04 swangas! Why? Idk
I thought they didn’t have passthrough/transparency mode which is a major drawback
What is that
@@andrewwatje5072 It's when the mics pick up the outside world and feed it to you. So basically you're hearing everything while still having the buds in your ears.
Sorry, new to the party, is the Name a Hint to Jimmyeatworld?
Ily Jimmy
Are they better than airpods tho👀
Sound-wise yes
Jimmy Tries World omg you actually responded 😭😭😭 I love your videos
Brother you should wait at least 2sec while testing sound leakage (4:28) at 75% vol i can hear the sound leaking but you immediately start talking and my ears got disturbed 😧
maybe to cover up the leakage as it is a biased review
I got Liberty 2 Pro, two days back and here's my personal review after I burned them for 24hrs
Bass: 9/10
Mids: 9/10
Highs: 8/10
Instrument Separation: 8.5/10
Seeing the hype around for these earphones I'm not quite sure whether I got what I was expecting for out of these,
The highs are not the best from the rest, these have tight Bass and Mids are alright, but overall I was not Blown away by these, I'd say they are simply Great pair of true wireless earphones, but Studio quality and for Audiophiles? well I'm not quite sure if they live up to the hype.
I have tried and tested all the EQ settings they work well, but none of the presets blew me away.
I was expecting a jaw dropping reaction after listening to these, but I didn't.
And after 1hour of continuous usage, my left ear starts hurting following with the right Ear after some more time of listening.
I believe they perform better than SONY WF-1000XM4 or Airpods Pro, but these didn't live up to my Expectations (IN EAR STUDIO PERFORMANCE) and I'm Sad how they turned out in the end.
So these perform better than airpodspro and Sony's, which are both what $150-$200 more expensive.. yet somehow they don't live up to ur expectations??????????? Ur massacring my braincells
@@bossnian5615 listen to them, focus on the highs, and you'll get your answers 👍🏻
These are the closest thing to wired earbud sound quality in my opinion💯💯
3:55 idk know if there is any sound leak because you keep talking over it
"Can you hear any leakage???"
I would be able to if you weren't talking over it the whole time.
You're very tricky, you wearing different pants when you put it in the pocket.. 😂😂😂😊👍Also you should show on camera the phone volume. 😉👌 I just bought it and waiting for the shipping. ✌️👍
Bought it for 100 euros 😏😅
Earpods blood sucking money! Soundcore win any day all day! And half the price too!
Total waist of money sound is terrible 😞

Tip
Can not do a objective review when the product was free.
So you are discrediting every media outlet out there and only trust reviews from people who bought them? That's the cat biting its own tail. No reviews, no buyers. No buyers, no reviews.
Besides, every review is subjective. Especially when it comes to sound.
If you want true objectivity in headphones, you could only compare frequency profile graphs.
