My dude, I started a valve cover gasket replacement a few weeks ago. I got a little ambitious and took the entire plenum apart, replaced vacuum and coolant lines as they were super dried out. My buddy helped and unfortunately snapped the fittings off the vacuum switch valve. Needless to say it was a hectic situation and now, here I sit, with a box of new OEM parts and a FSM but no original pics of the disassembly. This video was a great reference. Thanks for taking the time to make it.

Why would you get of the EGR? You won't increase power. But you will get a hotter running engine which may effect the head gasket.
Like your video, been running my 1988 3.0-would never in a million years delete anything og...that's some bad info!

Hi there, can u please give some information about the v-belts as well please, and also how to tight them, and also would like to know about how many brackets are there on this engine and where are they located. I have like 3 or 4 brackets sitting outside, the guy who removed the engine was unable to install the new engine and I don't know where they go
Can you show me the input and output coolant hoses for the heater core in the engine bay. I plan to do a backward flush to get the heater working-thx,

I have 1989 truck 3.0 same you but when buy it someone did egr delete but cruise control not working. I tried couple things but not getting back to work
I did the EGR delete on my 3.0... and since it has nothing to do with cruise control... my cruise remains working great.
What was or why was the egr deleted and purpose for deleting the EGR Valve??? Please help n respond THANK YOU GREATLY...

Needed to see what bolts go to where on the timing cover
On the timing cover it’s pretty self explanatory. Factory comes with 3 or 4 bolts on the top that your spark plug wires connect to (via plastic connector), and for the rest just put a bolt in every hole on the timing cover
How come you keep the stock air filter? Should you change it so its not restricted?

Where is the blinker relay location? I can't find it on my 93 3.0 5 speed. I have no blinkers but I do have hazard's. I bought a new blinker relay but I haven't found it yet. Some say to the left of the steering wheel, some say near vent on the left of steering wheel. The Toyota dealer's diagram shows it to the left of steering wheel.

At the 3:40 mark there is a hose that is touching the power steering fluid. I believe it carries coolant as mine blew up. Could you help me identify what that hose is so that I can order the correct one and get it swapped out? Thank you

Hey body. The problem is the guys sold the truck to me. He removed all small houses because he said not needed. But have. 2 problems A/C. Not working and cruise control but are know for a/c and cruise control need to connected to small houses. Because I tried For a/c. Install new. Relay. And nothing changes
You don’t need AC or cruise control. You’ll be fine. Those are useless
What would cause the engine to stay at a high idle and sometimes fluctuate?
Coolant. Bleed it. Or may be low

I have a 4runner with the same engine. I bought it in October and the precious owner said it needs a tune-up. Should i trust a friend to do it himself? He does all the tune up on his other vehicles
yes, if he is knowable in engine tune up, you should be fine

No cruise control isn’t effected by it
Bro the Fan Shroud is vital to cooling... Just saying. The way you have it without the shroud renders the fan useless.. The shroud makes the air go through the radiator thus cooling it.. Without the shroud the air just goes around the radiator not cooling it.. I promise.
