3D scenes just got better with THESE in Davinci Resolve!!

With the new USD system and all that comes with it, we now have new (and more) lights to work with. Especially more that cast shadows, compared to ONE that would work outside of USD. Watch the video for more details. I haven't confirmed, but I believe this only works in the paid version. (which, by the way, is a one time investment and if you do a lot of color/3D compositing work - it's a great investment, and is highly recommended, by me)

I really hope that BMD do more work on the USD renderer. Because right now, going by this video as an example. It looks like the renderer is very basic indeed. No reflected light, barely implemented shadows.

I've got different options in my uDiskLight node. No Shadows or Decay Type. My uRenderer doesn't have Shadows either. I hope it's not a version thing: I can't upgrade from 18.5b as I'm on Intel; or MacOS 11. It must be that. Drag. USD is the only format that brings the animation AND texture into Fusion. But I'm stuck as I can't create shadows🤣<-- real tears
