No, A6100 does not "give you the same specs as A6600 for less money". A6600 uses the bigger, more powerful battery, it has IBIS (important for photos, too, not just videos!!) and it is compatible with the new LA-EA5 adapter that makes old A-mount lenses usable with autofocus/autoexposure tracking (many people who are predominantly photographers still have these lenses). Probably there are more differences that render A6600 better for photos than A6100.

Nonononono. I have the Sony A6400 and I am switching to the A6600, BECAUSE it is better for vlogging. Why? Because stabilization. I vlog on a 20 mm APS-C prime, because it is way better than any of their shitty kit lenses, so I need that. Also, the flip screen is not flimsy at all. It seems pretty sturdy to me. And it's necessary for the non pop-up viewfinder. So, that or that? I hated the RX 100 pop-up finder... Ew. And I use a recorder, so no hot shoe use anyway. It just needs two days of getting used to it. And with most other cams (including many Fujis) the creek to the side e.g. also comes with two movements that you have to do to put it up... So it doesn't really matter technically. I hope the stabilization will be as good as on the RX 100. Because otherwise all of this (for amateurs) imo can be totally done with an RX 100. if the lens is full frame it will have a crop factor. But it should be great for bird photography. You will need to make sure your lens is stable on a swiel or a tripod for stable shots
You neglected to mention Sony's excellent catalog of lenses, plus their support for third-party lenses. As a result, there are good budget options, as well as pro-grade glass. Also, the a6600's in body stabilization works with all lenses, so you don't have to pay extra for stabilized lenses. When you compare the price of a kit, with lenses, the A6600 is still a good buy.
Hi Carey, sorry for bothering you. I am looking for a good camera mainly for nature photography, but sometimes also for short videos. Which one between Sony A6600 and Fuji Xt4 is better in your opinion?
@@vimus1987 Haven't used the Fuji, but it's autofocus can't be better than the A6600. If, by "nature photography" you mean being able to shoot moving subjects, such as birds in flight, autofocus trumps nearly everything else. You can fix a lot of problems in post, but there's no fixing a shot that just isn't in focus. Autofocus is one of the main reasons I like Sony. Another is the amazing selection of third-party lenses made for Sony. Sony decided, early on, to encourage third-party manufacturers to build Sony lenses. This means you can start out with budget friendly (but very good) glass from manufacturers such as Samyang or Tamron, and upgrade later if you choose.
