- The Snack King has awoken from his snack slumber and is back to rate some snacks. Singaporean snacks. To be honest they were really interesting because it was a big mix of Western and Asian snacks. As always, it's just my opinion so if I don't like your favourite snack then... find a new favourite snack? Nah, just joking. But seriously snacks don't have feelings so it doesn't really matter.

As a Singaporean I am so happy that you tried our food!! Since Singapore is a multiracial country, you should try our traditional Singaporean Chinese, Malay and Indian snacks if you want too!!
I never thought about fish skin chips being a thing, they actually look pretty good

Had to chuckle - my cat's name is Milo - he's an orange tabby. 🙂Regarding spicy food, After a few tries, my neighborhood Thai restaurant has finally figured out what my spice tolerance is. As I described it, "It's perfect ... my nose is running but my eyes aren't watering."
Man, as a fellow Aussie, watching you talk about Milo makes me want to go out and buy a tin 😅 Love that you're all about risking it for the content with some of these snacks 😂 good luck on your plane trip haha.

Best paired with a cold beer - salted egg fish skins, chilli tapioca chips
Peanut snacks (kueh kacang tumbuk) - A safe way to eat without crumbs all over the place it is to place it inside a slice of bread.
Pork jerky bak kwa - Micro-waving it for 20 secs improves it. Or you could use a bbq.
Pappadams - You cam eat them with an Indian dip or some salsa or guacamole.
the peanut snack - i was taught from young to just one-bite that thing, partly so that we dont make a mess eating them because of how crumbly they get 🤣
Place it inside a slice of bread.. 😅
Nice evaluation on Singaporean snacks. Regarding the Singaporean "beef jerky" or what we call Bak Kwa, the taste quality differs greatly between fresh and packed vs different brands. Do give it another try when you come to Singapore.

At 3:38, "...they're just snacks." In the winter when there is risk of snow I keep a sack of PayDay™ candy bars in the car so if I get stuck somewhere I will always have something delicious and full of energy to eat. They are a confection made of peanuts with a caramel center so they will not melt like chocolate. One year the freeway was shut down for 14 hours because of snow and I was trapped there. I am so glad I had some canned food, PayDay™ candy bars, and bottled water stored in the back seat.

When I was a little kid, I used to mix Milo powder with condensed milk and eat them just like that. It's very gooey and sticky - super sweet but very delicious! 😆😆

For the hacks, you don’t really chew it you usually suck on it to get the flavor out and also for the bak kwa, you should buy it fresh because the flavor can be different since it was shipped to you
The biscuit sticks you should try dipping them and stuff they absorb the flavor really well

Colombian here. It's chocolate crunchy powder. You can make hot or cold beverages, milkshakes, and it's used recently in McFlurry. You can also find it in a variety of candies, cookies.
