Unfortunately, I called off my wedding about a month before it would’ve happened, and I lost money by also trying to pay for lots of things up front. Had I waited until the payments were due (two weeks prior to the date), I wouldn’t have lost the money. It burned bridges between friendors (vendors who are friends) as well!
When I get married one day, I’ll definitely wait until the due dates to make payments.

This was great! I was really disappointed before that there wasn’t a lot of details about the way the Wedding turned out after hearing all of the plans. I thought oh well, it’s just being kept private. That’s their prerogative. Now I feel like we had a really good overview. The next best thing to being there! 😊

Thank you for doing this video. It seems like you had the perfect wedding!! I got married in 1998, and, although it was a beautiful, traditional wedding, I would have chosen your style wedding in a heartbeat. I absolutely agree with the way you did the speeches. I recently went to a cousin’s wedding, where we had to sit through a number of lengthy speeches. As a guest, it was not pleasant. Btw, you truly made a gorgeous bride!

Thanks for doing your speeches at the rehersal. The last wedding I went to, the father of the bride talked for 45 minutes, and he was one of like 6, and it was before any food came out. And obviously it's their day, and I was there as my friend's plus one so I shouldn't complain, but no food until 10pm made me very hangry haha.
We had speeches at the reception, but they were short and sweet and people had their lobster and drinks already in front of them!

Your relationship gives me so much hope for my daughter!! I've mentioned before that you and my younger daughter are practically twins...same age, look similar, same health issues, so outgoing and sweet....and she is now aboit to finalize her divorce from a man that went from seeming kind to showing his true narcissistic, abusive behavior. She needs to get out and I'm appreciative but I also know how broken hearted she is wondering if she will ever find someone kind that will truly love her and now her baby girls. I hope she will find someone that treasures her like Jordy treasures you!! I've watched you through that turmoil and it has helped me to help her. Seeing you come through all of that stronger and more confident gives me such high hopes for my daughter!!! I'm grateful for you sharing your journey, I'm sure you are helping so many young women to take control of their lives and put their physical and mental health a priority and let a relationship be just the blessing that it is, not the be all end all of life. Please remind your daughter that she does not NEED a man! It’s okay to be by yourself! My daughter is 23 and single and makes more money than I do, is working on getting her CPA, and is perfectly happy doing her own thing!

Great convo about your thoughts on the wedding. Glad you did the speeches at the rehearsal dinner - more intimate. I love that you worried about people's drama at the wedding, but you're right - you can't control it or worry about it. Cost - I remember the hilarity of the short you recorded when you found out about the $55,000 minimum....🤯. Max - good job hiring the Max-sitter...very thoughtful and SMART.

We had my God daughter’s wedding reception at our home. We had a large tent put up, we had it catered, and we had a band. We had a family work day the day before and the bride and groom and their bridal party spent the night. It was a lot of work, but it was so fun, and a lot more personal. Memories that last a lifetime were made.

As a 29 year old who has sadly never been to a wedding before, I really enjoyed your wedding vlogs! Thank you so much for sharing all of these beautiful memories with us! I felt like I got the experience through your videos ☺☺☺
I loved having a first look and all photos before the wedding. WE spent the night apart with our parties and then we did our own little bride & groom photos then all the wedding party photos before the ceremony and I would have it any other way only because having all the wedding party photos plus family photos after the ceremony would have taken so long. So all we had to do while we had cocktail hour was family photos and it took only like 30 mins. and I was very adamant about taking a few moments to ourselves after the family photos in our room for 10-15 min. before our "grand entrance" to just take everything in before dinner and to this day its one of both of our favourite moments of the whole day. we just stood/ sat on the balcony and chatted and gushed about the ceremony and connected without an audience. a perfect moment, and we did this because so many people said that the day passes so fast and you dont get a moment to just take it in so we really wanted that moment, we loved it. we also didn't have a dance we had everyone change out of there fancy clothes and get into comfies and we had a big bonfire with apple cider and hot chocolate and a smore's bar and a radio we could hook up to our phones and played music. it was so intimate not everyone stayed and that was totally okay as we had our wedding during moose season and it was great we had wonderful photos and some of the best were from that time.
I want that Max Wrangler job!! Such a good doggie parent.

I think having the wedding partially at your house was a great idea. Yes you run the risk of something getting broken or stained but it all goes well than in the end it will save money

My husband and I briefly considered having our speeches and toasts at our rehearsal dinner instead of our wedding, and ultimately, decided to have it at our wedding, because we splurged for a videographer to capture it and it allowed for wedding guests to better get to know us from our loved ones’ POV. Just a thought for any brides or wedding couples!
Yes the prices for weddings have gone way up our youngest son getting married in the Autumn ( Europe )

I know CA is expensive but having to pay that huge amount to use the church you attend? Wow that’s crazy. I know there is a cleaning fee but not that much.
