Well worth it. To date, my 2015 JGC Summit Ecodiesel had covered under warranty somewhere between $10,000 ~ $12,000 in repair costs: Quadra Lift air pump, catalytic converter, drivetrain control harness, and some kind of cooling plumbing replacement that required them to tear off the top of the engine, a rear camera replacement (camera lens was blurry due to delaminating) and a replacement of the UConnect navigation dashboard head unit. They also cleaned the dirty valves as long as they head the top of the engine off . I got the MaxCare with $100 deductible good until 2022 and 125K miles. I got the name of a Jeep dealer through one of the Jeep forums that was selling the warranties online at a pretty good discount and saved $400+ over trying to buy from my local dealer. My worry now is that the warranty will run out in 8 months and I’m concerned about the cost of huge out of pocket, out of warranty repairs.

I have 2014 Dodge Charger RT MAX and the warranty has been great! Over $10000 in repairs for $300. I used it 3 separate times. Mine is lifetime.

I bought the Mopar MaxCare warranty for 8 years, no deductible. Bought the warranty just before the factory warranty expired. Paid $50 over cost from a well known mid west auto group known for discounting their factory extended warranties. I'm in Charlotte - still seeking a local, reputable Mopar dealer. Fingers crossed.

The only downfall of rolling the warranty into your loan is you are paying interest on it now vs 18 months 0% through Mopar. Great video, I’m on the fence with buying one. I’m at 35,900 miles so I better decide soon!

Camera looks pretty decent. You might want to blur out the longitude and latitude in the corner just in case unless you're out on trails and such and don't mind sharing that info. Glad you got it fixed and hope you get many more fun miles out of it.

I'm considering Mopar extended warranty right now. Only problem is that it doesn't cover Quadralift in my country which is shame. I wish mopar offered the same benefits here.

Great comments on the Mopar warranty, Brad, and for me very timely as I am about to purchase one. I wasn't aware of the need to shop around; I was under the impression I'd walk to the Jeep dealership where I got my Trailhawk and just get it there as I thought the cost would be the same whether I got it there or elsewhere the Mopar one is offered! Question: do you know if one can get it directly from Mopar through their website at a competitive price and is "negotiating" practiced there as well?
How does one find other dealerships that offer it (other than calling them)? On line basically?
Thanks! BTW, good to see your face back on the screen again. I hope all' well, you all are adjusting great and wish you all Merry Christmas. Be safe.

So after filming this. I did a google search on mopar warranty. I found a price quote that was about 500 dollars cheaper than I paid at the dealership on out gladiator. There are a couple companies that sell the mopar warranty. Brokers I guess

I have the lifetime extended warranty on my 2012 GC. I had probably $10k worth of repairs including new valves, engine mounts, suspension air bag and some others that I can't remember. I'm keeping this GC forever. Unfortunately they no longer offer the lifetime warranty. I'm going to buy my wife a 2023 GC with the longest warranty they offer.

@@jeephead1832 That's what they told me. Plus they told me that rusted bolts aren't covered . I just had more work done including an oil pan and dipstick tube, air suspension compressor and other stuff. The bolt that attaches the dipstick tube was rusted and must have snapped when they tried to remove it. They didn't tell me and tried to zip tie the tube in place. I'm not happy about that. The service manager said I've had $20k worth of work over the lifetime of the vehicle. As happy as I am that I got my money's worth on the warranty I'm not impressed that a 12 yo vehicle would require that much work. I'm thinking of trading it in on a 4runner.

Did you buy your jeep from a Jeep dealership? And if so was it a certified pre-owned? I'm guessing since you said on one of the comments that you can actually buy the Mopar warranty by googling it or at a different jeep dealership, my guess is that if you buy a Jeep from a used car non Jeep dealership that you could go to a Jeep dealership to buy the Mopar warranty for it or just Google it and see who offers it? Thats my understanding from reading the comments, is that correct?

    • @ProdigalOverland

You can get them from an online broker that handles mopar warranty. Ours was a certified preowned. But I’m not sure it matters.

Well, I'm sorry Brad, but you paid too much for your Gladiator warranty.
First, never buy a third party warranty.
Second, do not buy the Mopar extended warranty at the time of a new purchase. The F&I guy will try to sell it, but just decline, even if he claims to discount it. You can purchase a Mopar extended warranty anytime before the 3-36 initial warranty expires. I waited till I had about a week left on my '18 Trailhawk.
Third, do not pay full retail. Through the Jeep forums, I found two or three dealers willing to sell the Mopar extended warranty for a substantial discount, like 40% off. Also, note, you can call Chrysler directly and purchase it, but they will not negotiate the price.
About two months after paying to extend my warranty, the dealer discovered a small radiator leak. It would have cost about three times the warranty cost to replace it, so it was definitely worth it.

I just bought a new Jeep Grand Cherokee L and ended up not getting an extended warranty but now I’m thinking about getting it. Good to know that I can purchase it right before my 3 years 36000 miles are up. I just got an email from mopar direct and looking for more info. How do you shop around for warranty deals? Do I call different dealers and ask or are they websites I can use?

so i just got the jeep Gladiator eco diesel and everyone is telling me if i wait for the 36k intial warranty to get close to expiring before i get the mopar it will be more expensive . So that nots true . i went through Chrysler for a quote and for the maxcare 8 year/125k is 2,754 0 interest 12 month payment plan ( i also have the dealer ship lift and 37in tires ) .Are you saying my quote wont be more expensive if i wait ? this is really the only thing i cant find a answer on . I know if i ask the mopar people or dealer ship they will say it will be more expensive to get you to buy now lol

      @jre617 2 роки тому +1

@@michaelworley8866 As I said, you can buy the warranty extension anytime before the 3-36 expires. Most dealers will not negotiate the price, but some will. Go on the forums and ask which dealers will. You will still be able to get a discount up to 3 years from now.
