I don't think this music video gets appreciated for how good it is. All one take. And they captured the absolute essence of what it was like for Mischief Brew to setup a house show.
I'd always been a metal fan and had never heard of them weirdly until a little after he died, but the talent here is undeniable. I honestly think in a different time Erik could've been what Kurt was. That amazing raspiness he has but somehow with clarity it's unbelievable to me. I wonder if he would've ever imagined people would still be listening to him long after he passed away. I know I do.
couldn't agree more my dear, he was one in a million, i had the pleasure of hangin with him on a few occasions and to this day one of the best shows i ever got to see was Mischief Brew & Leftover Crack at the Trocadero...and I've seen alot of great musicians in my time...RIP Erik...one in a million
Brian DiVincenzo My fiancé and I had the pleasure of hanging with him at many of the Philly basement shows of Mischief Brew and at Ramshackle Glory as well! He will always be one of the warmest, friendliest, kindest people I have ever had the chance to meet.
Kara Rose so true. its crazy not looking forward to a brew show in a west Philly basement. he helped ne clean up puke at the terrordome. hes insanity missed.
@@briandivincenzo1207 Same experience here. I saw them several times in Philly but one that def stands out is with LOC, Witch Hunt, and Subhumans at the FU Church...wanna say somewhere between 2003-2005... good times...RIP ERIK
i hung out with that bassist when i was soooo drunk and he was really cool we smoked a bowl. it was a house party in Lancaxter PA and theses guys played and it was awesome.
I love the walking bass line on this song. My recommended at the mo includes Mischief Brew, Chris Cornell and Soundgarden. On the one hand depressing but on the other great to have their music as their legacy. I was a teen squatter.

He was all over the USA squatting and playing good music !!! May he RIP !! He squatted at my place in 014 and played at one of my warehouse parties! He's such a great dude!
I was so excited to see them, but now Erik has gone. Rest in power, to the musical genius that was. I'm just gonna have to raise a glass to him during Days N Daze's set
You’ve got squatter envy As the hours drag on like a day The desire to toss the banker, landlord, and boss It was brimming but you pissed it away Better put down the irons and woods There are chains to be cut I say it’s time for you to find out what it’s really like To hit in the rough Come on, your posh garden parties ain’t foolin’ no one As you flash your cash clips out, They must weigh a ton I’m tellin’ you, your life would be so much better If you just fucked it up (CHORUS) Here’s your new church, blood, body No god, no priest Cause you can’t get to heaven Bustin’ unions, spillin’ jobs in the sea Let the Ash n’ Palm robber barons send their amens Then go back to their bunkers, food rotting in bins Hate the kids, crash the cars, send the checks in Sweetly singing, “Kill me please.” (CHORUS) Rich is poor Poor is rich I say bullshit Gold is grime Hey, that’s just fine Cause I want yours and you want mine Now gather around, I got a far-fetched story to spin Where we sling, swing, drive, dig, cook, clean, teach for the life you live in And we’ll take the hard knocks if the wages are right But you’ve shown time and time again, you can’t play nice I hope the ropes and pistols send you packin’ On the great junk train to paradise

@@Aryn_Oliver is it truly a Mischief Brew show if the pugs were no shows??
I think this video deserves Birdman's oscar.
+AFistfulOfVinyl In that case I hand it off to Richard Linklater for Boyhood!
+Shibby Pictures He'll give his acceptance speech in twelve years :)
+AFistfulOfVinyl A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night was my FOTY. Birdman was dope too. Mischief Brew deserve every award there is, though.
