Hope everyone is still alive and well in 2023, been a rough year so far, lost two close friends. Thanks Erik for all the music you made, I will keep you alive.

Hey! Do we have any Pennsylvania natives on this? I think a petition to make this the state song of PA would be a great way to memorialize Erik Petersen.
I'm originally from PA, born and raised, spent pretty much my whole life there up until recently when I moved across the country to the West coast. I always think about this song when I'm feeling homesick. Rest in Peace, Erik Petersen, gone too soon. I'll never forget the time I took a candle lit historical tour of Laurel Hill Cemetery around Halloween and spotted you in the same tour group out of the corner of my eye before nudging my friend and asking "isn't that the guy from Mischief Brew?"
Last night I dreamt I was going to the final Mischief Brew show. It was at a very nice house filled with many older people. I guess Erik's family. Later my family started showing up. They were upset and I didn't know why. They made cheesy jokes about wanting to leave before the music started. A young man started playing electric guitar and I woke up. Maybe I'm still looking for closure and this was like a funeral combined with memories of the last show at the Low Budgets house.
Been trying to learn this song on my acoustic I know most of the parts but they solo has been a little sticky. Do you know how to play it? Sorry for asking two years later
I think it becomes obvious when someone gives themselves to their music the way this guy Erik does. Thanks for the great years of punk rock sing-a-longs and acoustic cover material, my friend! People all over the world are hearing your songs as I travel with my guitar.
I fucking miss you so much, Erik. I love you man. Thank you, for everything you ever made, for every talk I was priviledged enough to have with you, for everything you did in life. God fucking damn it we need you man.... I miss you so fucking much
PA born and bred, was out of the country earlier this year for a few weeks and was feeling super homesick, this song popped into my head randomly and I had to play it from my phone sitting in my hotel room, cracked a beer from the fridge opened the window and smoked a cig while I listened to erik sing about my home, I can't lie I was crying like a baby by the end of this song, listened to it about five more times as I had another beer and a few more cigs thank you erik, one of a kind a genuine legend, you will truly never be forgotten, I know Ill still be listening to this no matter where I find myself in fifty years time
This is really dope. I'm from Philly and I don't even listen to this type of music, but this was really cool. I was intrigued to look up this video after reading the Wikipedia article on Centralia. Great work guys!

I'm pretty sure 500 of those views are mine. I'm not saying that just as a "clever" comment. I legit think I've listened to this song that many times, if not more. My favorite Mischief Brew song, along with Nomads Revolt. Love you Erik. I hope to run into you in the next life.
I lived right near Centralia for a while, nostalgia af all around. Rest peace Erik, no one out there was like you and the world is worse off without you
Just found out they covered over the "Graffiti Highway" in Centralia PA this year (which is where this was filmed) because it had become a public nuisance which is weird because Centralia is for all intents and purposes a ghost town.
The city they filmed this music video in was the inspiration for the Silent hill games, on a sadder note, RIP Erik, you'll always be one of my favorite songeriters and frontmen.

johnnyconsumer Hey man, I was at that triple rock show too. I heard from a pal that they may not return back soon or at all due to a pretty shitty turnout, but It was an awesome show nonetheless!!
Andy Zuh Yeah, That would be a shame because they're one of my favorite bands out there today. I'm glad I've gotten to at least see them a couple times. I'm 36-years old and have been pretty jaded when it comes to music today...but these guys bring it.
Does anyone know if there's an old version (maybe live, or an earlier version idk) rattling around youtube? Maybe it's some powerful deja-vu, but I've definitely listened to this before, months ago, I recognise the chorus and the lines about 'A church in neon'.
Hope everyone is still alive and well in 2023, been a rough year so far, lost two close friends. Thanks Erik for all the music you made, I will keep you alive.

Sympathy friend. I have lost too many from those years. And yet oddly am more alive than I have ever been.

Still here. Listening from rehab. Grateful to be alive. Rip Erik

ljdankov I'm not a Pennsylvania native, but lets make this happen.
Sitting on some rocks overlooking the mountains and valleys here in central PA giving this a loud, emphatic FUCKING YES!!!!!
They tried it with Bloodhound Gang's "Pennsylvania" but it failed.
I'm right across the bridge in South Jersey. I have a Philadelphia accent (so I'm told). Close enough?
Fogelsville,PA bro! I'm all for it!!!
May this song never get stuck out of my head. Rest in peace Erik.

I’m still listening :) rest in peace Erik
rip Eric Petersen...I'll be playing this song on my acoustic until the day I pass on as well! a truly classic song
Been trying to learn this song on my acoustic I know most of the parts but they solo has been a little sticky. Do you know how to play it? Sorry for asking two years later
@@gamertroth1949 Wait, I know your comment was a year ago but do you still need a tab for the solo?
Jerimiah Mcnuggets no I figured it out it’s not perfect with what he plays but I like what I have. Good to know you’re still out there bro.
This song is so accurate to PA. When you live here you wanna leave, but when you come back, it’s refreshing.
My friends and I have been rockin this since it first came out i love this song it make me feel like a pirate

When the guy in the mask goes to drink but can't because his mask is on, that's a whole 2020 mood

I do not miss a single musical artist the way I miss Erik Petersen. He left us far too soon.

Best song about Pennsylvania in existence. Change my mind.
gotta love those rusty-coal-bowl cow towns here in rural PA :) born and raised, and returned to (though i wonder why sometimes :P)

Ah what a good song. Glad I stumbled across this. I spent many summers visiting my family in Lancaster, Philly and Gettysburg. Good ole PA
Can’t believe it’s almost been four years... I have so much love for this band, I think about him every time I’m in PA.
Mischief brew has to be one of the most kick ass bands out there. I have listened to this song almost 10 times and I still hasn't gotten old.
Ah, had a bottle of wine and ended up here and now I'm happy but bummed. Miss ya man... I really do.
2023. Heard this for the first time today on Pandora. Had to hit repeat three times. Such a killer song. Remind me of when I lived back east

it's hurts my heart knowing this band isn't more known. he's such a good lyricist, and the band is tight with their songs
