Here because I literally just finished IBH and I really didn't want it to end. Jo is such a mastermind, her books are pure magic, and I am so thrilled to hear how far along she is on the next one and that she already has ideas for the 2 after that! She's literally the only reason I read novels, and I'm so grateful for her! Long live JKR!!!

I really enjoyed hearing her speak about the book. Having read the book twice, I am again impressed with the characterization, plotting, and completeness of the plot lines. I enjoy reading about Robin and Strike and look forward to the next installment. I love the world she has created.
I have a hard time even reading the books now because I listened to them all as audiobooks at this point and the narrator Robert Glenister is SO delightful with his voices. Probably why I haven't watched the show yet either.
You must watch the show. It is one of the best ones. They are slightly different for obvious reasons but Tom Burke and Holliday Granger are brilliant. I’ve watched the series several times. Can’t wait until TIBH is released 🌟🌟
This is a wonderful interview. I just finished Ink Black Heart. I love seeing Strike and Robin size people up. Spending time in that world is so relaxing -- leaving real-world troubles behind and looking at all these people through the eyes of Strike and Robin -- that I wished it would never end. Can't wait for book 7.
You know it is really exciting and comforting to see her be on a roll like that in terms of working on the content and putting these books at this rate. So pleased to know she's well into the next installment, gives me peace to know it (likely) isn't too far away. Not like the wait between *CAREER* and *LETHAL* anyway 🤞

Just finished the book about an hour ago. Another fantastic book. I did think that the online World, the ideas, subjects and arguments e.g. ableist, cis, trans, are more reflective of 2022 than 2015. But loved it. Already looking forward to the next one.
I thought so too-she even mentions someone having pronouns in their Twitter bio and that was not really a thing back in 2015. But honestly the rest of the Fandom and Twitter and tumblr stuff and the rhetoric of characters felt pretty spot on to my own experiences in fandoms in the early 2010s. What a weird and honestly scary time to have been a late teen.

I know JK Rowling said she may never do a COVID-19 Strike Novel but listening to her explanation of Anomie and the concept of Sickness being a key theme and disconnection is pretty much part of what happened at the start of the pandemic so I feel like she's already tackled that monumental part of our lives at least thematically in this book Keep up the good work Jo can't wait for the next instalment 👍
Thankyou for this- it’s good to know these strands. A little closer to home, Arbroath’s Western Cemetery and Mortuary Chapel have much in common with Highgate cemetery and Hospitalfields- Scotland’s earliest art school might be worth a visit ?
I love that interview. Reading the kindle version drove me mad for some time though, until I found out you can ignore the pictures because the next pages will show the same in plain text, too. I loved the book but decided against the audible version because of the tweets. How could it be done there to be undecided or unclear about the sex of Anomie? Ive got every book of Jo's in at least two versions, some even in 4, like HP2 in American book, German book, English Illustrated book and Audibles in English and German. I like to live in her worlds. I am a 69 year old lesbian media designer, in politics for 30 years, having known many LGBT people and many of them as my best friends. I consider Jo as somebody who has done nothing against us, on the contrary. I can play a game where the headmaster is gay, my favourite teacher is short, my friends are very diverse and I can date girls and boys like in my real life. Where else can I do that? Still, I've had my controversial discussions with and about trans people back in the nineties and there were tears and agression and despair but lots of understanding and support, too. People who throw about hate and shitstorm online at anybody, who doesn't follow the mainstream, instead of exchanging views aren't really helpful to the cause. Live and let live is my motto and, I think, Jo's too. With love from Germany
I’ve just finished reading and lived the book. Can you say what the significance is for the poetry quotes at the start of each chapter? Did you find these on tombstones in Highgate cemetery ?
