One of the biggest dreams of my life is to meet her one day ❤️
So is mine
She’s a transphobic, anti Semitic jerk
But haven’t you heard… she’s a transphobe! 😱
@@mbh9566 if you're talking about some Delusional people who think they are somewhat different from others just because that is what they feel. I don't give a fuck.
Me too. I expect there’s quite a line.
Read it all and loved it! I literally couldn’t put it down and even though it was 1000 pages, I managed to read it in just two days. She’s an unmatched storyteller and a superb plotter and suspense builder. The tension between the two main characters is palpable and I can’t wait for the next book because as much as I am looking forward to the new mystery, I can’t wait to see how the relationship between Cormoran and Robin develops. Thank you, Queen! ♥️
Same here! I'm getting ready for a reread, because I felt like I just zoomed through it😂 I can't believe we'll have to wait over a year for the next one.
Same! I finished it in two days, now planning for a reread! I love the pacing but it got weird with the chatbox. And I got it all wrong with the killer lol. With regards of their partnership I know in my heart that it will not be this book because Strike should finally resolve his love with Charlotte which happened with this one. I’m relieved because it’s dragging for too long. Strike and Robin needed to start with clean slates. I literally can’t wait for the next book! Hopefully it will not take so long.
I really like what happened to the anti-trans bigot in the book.
How did you manage two days!? Did you have to take time off work
@@wonderwoman5528 they got fired for being a bigot at work
I have finished it a few days ago and hearing JKR read the first chapter now was a real treat, it helped me realize how far they have come as personalities by the end of the book.. each of them having experienced an awakening of sorts.. Love it and can't wait for the last book!
It's about time I get into this series. The more I hear about this book, the more it peaks my interest.
Just finished it and cannot wait for the next one!
Thank you for this 🖤. I cannot wait to lose myself in the world of Robin and Strike once more. You are truly magical with your storytelling. 🪄❤️
It's as fantastical as Harry Potter, the plot and everything. She even pretends to be a man writing it. Bit odd really...
She is one of my heroes, her prose is exquisite. One of the most influential women in the last hundred years.
Who? Ursula La Guin? Yeah her books, like Left Hand of Darkness are amazing literature.
Yup, Jo is fantastic
Please Jo, never ever stop writing! 🙏 Your imagination and books have been a best friend and a life support, besides being enormous enjoyment. Cannot imagine it without them! Your imagination and intellect have made me smarter and more aware, I love learning through seeing through your eyes!
J.K. Rowling is so creative. I’m watching and hoping for an Adults understanding of The Alchemist Guide to The Enochian World of John Dee.
Got the book yesterday (on page 189 now 😀), but had to listen to this, I love listening to her reading.
Halfway through the audiobook now, absolutely loving it.
My book hasn’t arrived yet, but I’ll listen to Jo reading the first chapter anyway. 💚 I’m so excited for this new novel.
Thank you! I love watching her read her novels so much. Can't wait to read the whole book 🖤
Great reading, very pleasent to here this voice! Standing ovation!
Thank you so much for your books. The really in a way save my life. Strike and Robin feel like friends for me.
Your friends are fictional transphobic bigots. That's super sad. I hope you can make some real ones
@@jesipohl6717 dear Jesi believe me or not I ve got lot of Real friends
So you dont have to be sad for me
Anyway the books help me through a tough Time in my Life.
And anyway who are transphobics bigots?
@@karinhoo4333 that's great for you, I'm glad you also have real friends. Your JK Rowling books made me have a tough time in my life, because they create discriminatory narratives about trans people as predators which have directly lead to more attacks/murders of trans people. You certainly don't have any trans friends, if you do ask them what they think about your saviour JK Rowling. For real, ask them, make sure you don't pressure them.
Judging by your name alone, you might understand what it is like for the media to focus on your identity in a negative way, maybe you've even seen the results in discriminatory behaviour from your community. This is what JK Rowling makes money off of now, doing this to trans people.
Her books didn't save you. You deciding to read something and taking matters into your own hands with the help and support of real people is what did it. Don't give a bigot your power.
Agatha Christi and Ursula La Guin respectively created far more interesting detective and fantasy/sci-fi worlds. The good news is that anything that was good in Rowlings work was appropriated from other writers. You can still have your amazing stories without supporting a bigot. Plenty of artists in the world.
@@jesipohl6717 that narrative was created by trans being predatory towards women and children.
JKR did absolutely nothing wrong so deal with It.
Beautifully read.I'm saving the novel for a holiday in January but don't think I can wait that long.
Wonderful. ❤️❤️ This should have a million views.
I wish haha
A million views… for a transphobe. I should hope not.😳
@@mbh9566 Without the internet she is still an influential person, meanwhile without the internet all you trans folk are nowhere to be seen.
@@mbh9566 Great Anomie cosplay!

I freaking love the opening !!!!
I'm Indian dear madam the world is become warm up by your writing stories
I've just finished the book! It was amazing, I can't wait for the next one. I really hope we won't have to wait 2 years for the next one. She is such an amazing storyteller, all her books are captivating and impossible to put down!
Finished it today! I liked five more but it was still fantastic. You can see some subtle but significant character development in strike.
She is truly amazing
Love her ❤️❤️❤️
Please, more! Chapter 2! Going nuts waiting for Amazon to send my copy. Absolutely loved this.
Love to hear her wording in her writing. Some passages like poetry
I love her so much ❤️
What a great way to start a book. Corbin all the way!!! Omg I love these two ❤️❤️
Mesmerizing, beguiling, bewitching narration from the exquisite Jk.Rowling
I love the tv show and the actors for Strike and Robin ...though when I hear J K Rowling reading them, I see the actors who play the lead detectives in Shakepeare and Hathaway. Anyone else? 😅
So Excited!
I bought the audiobook cause these books are so heavy they make my carpal tunnel flare up lol. Loved it tho!
Joan Thank you for the books! We love you❤
Okay. Now I have to buy the book. Thank you for the lovely reading.
Love this series.. can't wait to read it!
Her writing is so good: easy to read (or listen to in this case) and at the same time so rich.
Thank you! Love hearing her read! Downloading audio book now! Been waiting for this!
Thank you for 💜
OK, finished the book today, when's the next one coming out? 😂
Sameee! I need the next one! 😂
I cannot wait for my copy! It arrives tonight.
Amazing! Can't wait to read the whole book!
Thanks for the Auto Translation 👍😀
Haha about being kicked out of an American bar. My witches and I were actually shushed in one. Was amazing and strange!

Great book. Just finished the latest book. Would love to hear the whole series read by the author.
Brilliant.
A good first chapter, I will try to learn from it for my own first chapters
I've never read a book about Cormoran Strike before, but I might just pick one up after watching this.
The talk about Jung, Derkheim's concept of 'anomie', and everything in between ... I'm starting to feel like I've been missing out.
. . Wayting fo read the book! AS SOON AS POSIBLE@
I have enjoyed the whole series. Cuckoo's Calling is the first one.
Emil Durkheim would have branded JK a bigot and cited her existence and banally self-centered and meaningless fear and demonisation of a stigmatised group as evidence of anomie. My fav part of this book is what happens to the anti-trans person, hahaha. Justice.
Excited to get this book...
Oh my. Their first date.
Amazing! I am going start reading in my flight back to Uruguay from Europe.
Love the Strike series even more than Harry Potter 😊
bravissima bellissimi libri 📚 📚 📚
I learn English by listening to JK Rowling. I want to hear her Golden Standard English.
Super dommage que les éditions Grasset ne l’ai pas traduit en Français pour que nous puissions l’acheter. 😢nous ne sommes pas assez bien pour cette maison d’édition !
Sounds interesting
Genius!
hi
Αmazing❤
marvellous
Finally finished those 1000 pages! Phew! Loved it . Kept me captivated . The only drawback was that the detectives should have figured out who the culprit was on their own instead of basing it on a phone call received at the end of the novel . But whatever .
This video is getting ratio'd so hard and I love it.
😻😻😻
is robin now 30 is she hitting the wall
Come and listen friends👍👍👍👍
Amezing
I am also a rising writer like you... please meet me for a while mrs jk
I adore her readings. Combined with Stephen fry it would be heaven
Lord is the author of universe, we all said this word without knowing. Literature is the flow of universal concious, it is critical to understand the world same as understand wisdom behind multilayers of human mind. Harry potter is the life memory to every reader. The essense of whole potter world in a single word. Harry is our heartbeat. This word from his friend after they misheard that harry was died. The dilougues around resurrection stone, his parents Sirius etc death is little sleapy like, dumbledore precognic vision before killing voldmort, above who living are suffering like dilogues, movie climax terrifies even wizard world, it is hard to leave memories of harry. May be in books or in real life we have to leave something beyond to understand with mind. That question is forever riddle even to god.
In the world many follwers to fools like addicts, but hary fans are visionaries
So why the heck did Rowling's jump into commenting on issues that she clearly did not understand. The plot of he book appears to mirror her experience of taking heat and losing fans for expressing transphobic views in recent years. I am 61 years old and it's not as though I was raised with concepts about non binary gender. Then again, I have embraced the fact that I am an old man and that I need the younger generations to teach me.
So what’d they teach you… that Men can get pregnant?
She understands the issues very well Mr. White Knight
You sound like a great guy, it's reassuring to hear that older generations can still be open-minded. Ignore the echo chamber of JKR supporters that can't understand the concept of a life lived differently from their own... it's frustrating, but useless to argue with them. We can only hope that they have brains sent down to them - or stones, so long as they hit the mark.
@@__Oscar So open minded that your brains fell out. And how can you say that people can’t understand the concept of a life lived differently without seeing the irony in it. Y’all too clearly can’t understand that same concept of a life lived differently, so you look to publicly shame and demonize those that don’t agree with your views. A classic fascist tactic to get people to submit to their own preferred ideology. I mean, I’ve never seen JK using those same tactics, but instead only defending her own beliefs. Which by the way are a set of beliefs based in actual reality, whereas those that look to attack her are basing their beliefs on pure fantasy.
@@mbh9566 yes, trans men can get pregnant. Next question.
My least favorite of series.
Just pirate it, no need to support terfs
As a trans woman yes, you JK Rowling are hurting us, PLEASE STOP!
You all do realize she’s hurting trans people and putting anti Semitic undertones and overtones in her works right? Or are you just bad people who don’t care?
Possibly people here understand that she hasn't actually hurt anyone but is practising her right to free speech by airing her opinion. You're being terribly judgemental to many people you don't know. Perhaps you might want to reconsider the direction of your anger?
I used to have such respect for Rowling.
I don't know why it's okay to oppress trans people, but it seems to be acceptable to her. She's all about punching down these days and now she's made herself the victim with this new book. Self-serving.
I don't get it. It's heartbreaking.
@@jansmith286 She can practice free speech as much as anyone can. And we can, too.
It isn't a violation of her free speech rights to criticize what she says and writes.
When you have the bully pulpit that she has, her words can and do hurt people. For some reason she's taken aim at one of the most marginalized groups (trans). I don't understand why she's anti-trans, but it does hurt. A lot.
@@jansmith286 oh i know the direction of my anger. And it’s toward bigots like her. She has crossed multiple lines. It is no longer a mistake, or free speech. Her actions are active acts of malice. And she has hurt people .
I’m trans myself( non binary) and Harry Potter was a important part of my life for so long, but because of her actions, I and millions of others cannot enjoy her works due to realizing more and more of the negative stereotypes she consistently props up . And I’m not even getting into how much she donated to violently anti trans conservative organizations.
😝

JKR should have left it after she struck gold with Harry Potter. There was no need for her poor takes to bleed over fond memories of childhood. This book is a last, desperate attempt to appeal to audiences. She treats it like some intellectual novel when it's barely more evolved than My Immortal - that is to say, this is a self-insert fiction from a sad and desperate person. Such a shame.
Unfortunately with her "takes" she's bound to sell a lot to either conservatives, terfs, or those that care for cancel culture
Well, ultimatetly, like so many historical villians, perhaps she can serve as an infamous identity for future youth to rally against. I imagine a time when her legacy will consist of academic courses in gender studies which deconstruct long-forgotten fiction writers who created violent hateful spectacles in their time. A course like "the two faces of JK Rowling; contemporary no-wave vs 2nd-wave feminist readings on identity". I mean going back through potter, you can kinda see she loves the enforced heteronormativity.
She is awesome and is standing up for the rights of women. This trans garbage is a passing fad in most cases. Confused, attention-seeking, and weak minded rebellious types mutilating themselves only to mature to the realization they've ruined their bodies and reproductive capabilities. We're done playing along with the cosplay fantasy lie.
This person has a male and female name. Curious. Maybe she is misunderstood and/or sucks at expressing her ideas.
Self-hate is a monster for sure
@@jesipohl6717 what are you suggesting?
This is hilarious, did she really just troll herself? Just Kidding, does the J.K.stand for "just kidding". I mean it's so hard to believe she's a real human being...
Honestly; its shocking that a once beloved author is reduced to lukewarm crime novels; the likes of which you'd find at a local café, shoved to the back of a shelf after a particulatly disappointing read. Even the formatting feels like she's trying to copy Stephen king. It's just.... bizarre I suppose.
it's even more bizarre that a nobody gives such baseless criticism
@@katarinas6012 why don't you tell me how irs baseless. Go on.
