What the hell is ng+ bro ive been in the castle for 2+ hours, i finally found a grace that leads to the roof after dying hella times to the shield knight in that dark room i was so stubborn that I didnt want to continue until i merked him. I started yesterday and have 10+ hrs played already@ASP3CTS.
A note for the side path: it's designed so that you don't actually have to fight any of the difficult enemies. They have very obvious patrol paths to sneak past them, and some have alternate routes that avoid them altogether

yea sure u dont have to kill anything but theres a guy that chases u around and if u hide theres another dude that chases u after and then u have to either kill him or run back and kill the stronger guy js stfu bro

@@Ara-aosituyeah you sneak through stormveil to kill Godrick the grafted and take his great rune plus you have to fight morgot at the beginning of the dungeon and if u wanna go in guns blazing you can take the main gate and kill everything
Fun fact you all probably did not know:
If you kill the gatekeeper (the one that notifies you about the hole) and enter the room with the knight the door will not lock thus letting you walk out any time. Be aware though that the knight can also walk out and chase you .
does killing the gatekeeper change anything? cause i know he’s a dick
Tip when doing that shoot the knight with an arrow and you can get him stuck on the open door
I was so sure the knight was the one laughing at me until I saw this video. I'm going to go back and kill the gatekeeper once I'm done with the castle. I hope he's killable...

I ran around the rest of the map, liurnia and caelid and even a bit of ainsel river before beating godric, because I kept getting lost in the castle, thank you.
I got out of Caelid way faster than I did Stormveil. This is crazy
7:30 I laughed super hard at that. That damn knight whooped my ass so many times that I felt like I beat a miniboss when I finally killed it.
It took me a couple tries before I realized I could sneak attack him... then it only took a couple more tries
ONLY TO GET 400 RUNES.

I was getting killed so much that, I was surprised when I killed him.
A shield and colossal sword decimated him easily

One tip for anyone reading: The room that locks you in the first time you enter actually only locks you the first time you enter.
If you die and try again, the door will remain open, and since the knight stands on your left, you can just pull his aggro and leave the room, resulting in him trying to chase you but being caught on the door - making it very easy to kill him with a few charge attacks.
THIS IS SUCH A GOOD TIP. Definitely had trouble with him and this made it easy lol

I was beginning to think you have to go all the way from the barrel birds down to the courtyard and then somehow fight godrick all in one run

Little tip for everyone: if u don't feel like spending any time on the weird spider thing, you can simply walk over the rooftops next to the birds throwing the tnt barrels and drop into the courtyard without any trouble 👍

@@martinsahlstrom7177 trust me. spawn at the rampart tower sight, and then after you exit the doorway, look to the right and try to jump to the close corner of the roof, it’s a big jump but you can make it easily if you get a running start, and it doesn’t do fall damage :D

Once you get the grace at the top of the tower step outside and look off the ledge immediately to the right. You can jump onto there and cheese that whole part. Just be careful to go to the door and not somewhere else

One of my favorite sections too, fun fact, you can skip those lame birds and go straight to the courtyard by jumping off the building onto another below just right from the door. :)

@@jackbell2319 no, there's a building to the right straight out the door, if your notice there's two little planks or whatever on the edge of the ledge, if you jump properly, you can get to the building below.
It's totally doable, don't be mad bc you messed up once or something.
If you make it down there you can walk up the roof and you'll see some loot and a dumb bladed bird
@@jackbell2319 elden rings is full of secret challenging jumps. This one is pretty easy tho. Keep trying, you'll get it.

I found a bow very helpful for most of the enemies, easy to pick off in narrow hallways
thanks i just didnt know what to do in the dark chamber with the knight near the beginning but since you showed me there's a key in there i finally got through stormveil
For those struggling using block/parry counter with the shield drastically helps in keeping your health up
Thanks for producing and posting this guide. A effective way to cheese that Banished Knight and his Exile partner is to sneak up behind the Exile, use Poison Mist on him, then go back to the library and wait for him to die. It will not alert the Banished Knight. Then rinse repeat on the Banished Knight. I used a lot of Poison Arrows in Stormveil Castle, and they were very effective on virtually every enemy. As long as one gets 3-4 quick arrows into them, the poison will proc. Then it just becomes a waiting game. I was even successful in using Poison Mist on the Crucible Knight. Most enemies I have found that seem impossible to sneak up behind, can be snuck up on. All one has to do is get initial agro, run away until agro is lost, then try again. This has always been a successful strategy for me when dealing with Ulcerated Tree Spirits, Erdtree Avatars and Bell Bearing Hunters.

You can skip the birds and knight if you jump off of the rooftop by the site of grace and onto the roof by where the knights walking path ends

You are officially my favorite Elden ring UA-camr. Out of all these people that claim to be helpful you are the most helpful out of all of them.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one that cheesed the scion, only i pelted him with the pebble throw spell from the balcony, its great for cheesing as the pebbles spawn the other side of the railing and track in all directions pretty much 👌
Update: just took the teleport back to the beginning and fought the grafted scion miniboss from the beginning and surprisingly as a squishy mage I beat him with the bloodhound sword and jellyfish shield .. apparently I didn't need to cheese it 😅

There’s a side entrance to dodge the bird if you don’t wanna deal with it if you’re revisiting to do some grinding or something like that, you can take a little side cliff and it’ll take you completely around the bird and literally lead you right to the side of grace

This may be a little late but quick step is super helpful for the armored wind dudes. Keep quickstepping trying to get a backstab as he raises his sword up in the air to do the downward wind slash. Or spam l1 with dual katanas and they melt like butter

You don't have to do most of that. From the Rampart Tower Grace spot, you can go the other way and take the roof tops all the way to the courtyard

Somehow i did this completely reversed, found rampart tower grace first, then went through castle interior. Still procrastinated fighting the crab boss tho, and also just booked it past both knights
I cheesed a big part of the side route, when I got to the birds I unequipped my armor and jumped to the top of the next building, from there I dropped down on the left side of a wall and I was in the courtyard.
Hey for anyone who got this game for Christmas (Like me), If you take the side route and you get to the area with 4 birds. The second you get out the door turn and and then you can jump on some roofs and get straight to the courtyard

Loving the vid so far, after fighting the barrel birds i have to say as a mage using glintsone arc and carian slicer i like fighting the birds. Dodge n arc twice n they dead.

I found (well not sure if its a thing but its a discovery new to me) a large skip for this. At the section before the birds. At the rampart tower grace if you turn right you will see a rooftop. You can jump to that then down to the wall below. Then there is a room behind you which will unlock with a stonekey for good items. But if you continue forward slightly you get to the troll guy and again just run by and to the grace. No annoying knight or birds to deal with. Of course if you want all items you can come back when you just slap everything. This is my first playthrough lol.
The birds aren't too bad as long as you have a shield and can counter attack after their attack pattern is done. Or if you have the magic fireball spell from the roundtable club, the birds are very weak to fire so I snipe as many with those as I can then when one or two come after me, shield up until the right opening pops up then strike with a fast counter or light attack.
Also, that mini boss knight that awaits you in the side path, after your first encounter, the door should actually stay open. This is awesome bc it opens up inward and the dude can't walk through it so go in, get his attention, then run out right as he notices you and he will walk right into the trap corner where you can safely throw fireballs at him from a safe distance. He's worth like 500 or 600 runes too so this side path area eventually becomes a great rune harvesting path like the one under the well with the ancient slow moving statue men with spears. All those slow statue guys are worth 3000 total per run thru before having to reset by going to a grace site.
Bro this video saved me. The shortcut, telling us where to go after you get to the courtyard... My dumbass killed everyone and went right down the hill that's really just the 2nd pathway to the courtyard.🤦♂️
Btw the big monster in the dining room can be cheesed if u stay up top and spam limestone pebble only works
Tip that still works if you can’t beat the knight: die after the first time you get locked in and the door remains open. The knight can’t leave the room so he just runs at the door in place unable to move and you can just get to work.

Thank you.. I tried grinding through this and just about had it with those halberd knights, but I got up to the courtyard before seeking guidance. That grafted scion thing is almost impossible to melee even through the hallway WITH a halberd. The attacks are so varied and odd, I always take damage trying to land a blow🤷♂

Your lack of use of a ranged weapon baffles me. Would make this so much easier. Otherwise, the comedic timing and very sharp editing made this video absolutely fun and entertaining to watch 😊
there is an easier way to get past the knight and his friend at the church, but it is hard to explain, so I will try my best
1) 6:17, go upstairs, kill the sheild guard blocking that entrance
2) stealthfuly kill the guard with horn or if your up for the challenged "get jumped"
3) go to the sand bags near the wooden roof then scal to the left on that wooden roof
4) below you should see a building with a blue roof (thats the buildng at 7:19). jump on building (I did a heavy air attack on building a survived)
step 5 ) look for the knight and his friend get in that building at 7:19 without being in the the knights sights and you good to do the rest as the vid tells
i don’t even own elden ring and this video was so enjoyable lol
