@marshallpainting6343 It just shows that we all have different strengths and weaknesses with enemies! TS always gives me no end of problems. NK has never really bothered me though, even though he's also on a horse and is arguably even more agile. I just think his attacks generally don't hit as fast or as hard, and his move set is a little less complex. One other enemy type that others found easy, but for ages I didn't, was the Erd Tree Avatar. Even now, I'm not particularly confident with them.
Quick tip to easily beat Leonine: there is actually a whip that you can find when you are progressing through the castle. Leonine has a weakness to whips and stops his attacks midway when whipped. hope it helps ;)
From seem to like throwing in a few gimmick fights... the spear with Rykard is another one (even with the spear it took me a few tries though, had to figure out that Mimic Tear ashes were the way to go then it got pretty easy).
The biggest tip I can give for Elden Ring is that vigor should take priority when leveling up early on. Weapon damage stats early on are impacted more by smithing stone upgrades than stats like strength and dexterity anyway. Sinking your early levels into anything other than vigor is a recipe for frustration .
A useful tip for beginners: When facing the skeletons or gargoyles in the catacombs make sure you use a weapon that deals "striking" damage. Like a mace, flail or club. This is much more effective than a sword or other sharp weapon.
Great tip!! I also found that out versus the crystal boss in the mine. I was using my kitana and doing nothing at all! Went to the tooth covered club and it was a wrap!
I would recommend going after the watchdog before the duelist. It's closer to the starting location and its attacks are easier to read and has WAY more punishable attacks.
Honorable mention goes out to the Demi-Human Chief Bosses that are a part of Boc’s quest line. You can summon a Knight to help you out, but be sure to draw their aggro or he’ll die pretty quick. Also try and focus only on the boss because the other small enemies will keep respawning.

@@kyojirorengoku1648 hold L2 for PS4 and he grips his hilt, then R2 for a power attack and you'll lunge forward and do some serious damage and hopefully get a couple light hits in after to cause a chunk to be taken away from bleed damage. Later on you might wanna look into the moonveil katana ( I believe it's called) and it has an even better ash of war with a light and heavy version of it and better stats (but you'll wanna start dumping points into intelligence, when not adding to vigor)
Hi, you can do it with or without the shield, I dropped the shield after 30 hours of game cause I genuinely couldn't coordinate and never used it. All I do is sprint, jump or run whenever an enemy attacks. So a very simple piece of advice from me would be to practice if you want to use a shield or not use it at all and pay attention to his moveset
Leonine is one of the tougher Limgrave bosses, because he hits hard and is aggressive. But like most of the early sword or weapon wielding bosses, his move set and combos just need to be learned and you can't be too greedy in hitting him. Bosses such as him, Crucible Knight, Zamor and even Darrawil are good bosses to fight, immediately before you go to Margit.
I love how this video is about a whole bunch of bosses to do do before margit and I literally played elden ring for the first time in my life and margit was the first boss I beat. I picked astrologer because I wanna be a mage and just played around a bit and killed a bunch of random minions around limgrave and when I was around level 15ish I got 3 things. When I had enough INT I got the meteorite staff and then I went to get the stone calling spell too as well as the wolf summons (yes I did look online for what to get and stuff) this game is so much more difficult than it seems but quite handleable when you get the hang of it. Honestly tho, astrologer is actually OP, it's a glass cannon kinda build but if you can keep your distance using your summons and a shield early on to keep enemies who get too close, away, then you're good. Just pump points into INT and MIND so you can cast more spells and some into vigor for extra health because you'll need it. I mean I'm still figuring it out myself 😅😅
Thanks for the guide! I still had about 5 out of 7 of these to kill after beating margit and Godrick 😅 that being said as a strength build with beast champions altered armor and bloodhounds fang +5, I pretty much two shot every boss
with the help of my ghost ashes + NPC Edgar (see his red mark at the entrance) the fight against Leonine in Castle Morne was quite quickly and easy done
The Beast Man would have been the first boss that I encountered, but, novice as I was, I was constantly getting schlacked by the pack of wolves outside his gate. When I finally got through them all I had so little health, I knew I wasn't ready for it. SO my first boss was Margit instead! 🤣
Same here with the wolves, you can swing your weapon to get their attention and then back up on that little pathway to line them up and try to take them one on one; or honestly just run straight through them and into the boss room
I finally started this game and was in party chat when I got to margit. They told me to not bother and turn around, but I beat him on my 8th attempt. If you’ve played other souls games, the fight isn’t that bad.
I got lost in open world for a while and by the time I got back to story I beat Margit really fast first try since I was prob over leveled at 30ish but I had bloodhound fang that did high hemorrhage damage and if you use putrid ashes you can get scarlet rot or just use any ash to distract and hit hard from behind Also if you buy Margit shackle from patches you’re able to use it twice in first phase in which it locks the boss down and gets you lots of free hits and easy stagger making first phase trivial
More like "any overworld boss who lives under a convenient cliff where you can rock sling or frenzied burst them to death from the high ground", "Lenne's Rise Night's Cavalry who loves falling to his doom" and "any stationary boss you can sneak up behind to poison mist them".
First area of Map has tons of discoveries and rune farming spots. I say take your time and explore Limgrave first, as I think the game intended. Level up atleast to scale with Margit and enjoy your first triumph.
I didn’t know this going into the fight I did beat patches , and use the item , but honestly I’ve found so far the little like knights have been the hardest and most annoying to deal with
I also can only tell u to use these summons of a lonely wolf or what it is called, after he bit margit or whatever boss ur playingfor quite some hits, there is contant damage because of the perks from the dog easyyy
Defeated Margit at around levels 12-15. Was lucky on the attack pattern it gave away. I Glintstone Pebbled it to death. Tried many times then I knew I can get a summon and the Meteorite Staff and Rock Sling early on. KEKW!
if especially in Elden Ring a magician kills the foes and bosses with long-distance magic, then that's not "cheesy" but perfectly normal, that's how a magician does it ... luckily in Elden Ring there are many other effective options than only always playing a melee fighter with heavy armor and a greatsword ... my Vagabond is sort of a hybrid as an effective good melee fighter (currently mainly with the Uchigatana or the Icerind Hatchet) and with good ranged magic with the Meteoric staff and it's been working great for me so far
Mad Pumpkin Head should’ve been on this list. He’s easier than most of these. Plus you also get access to a sorcerer NPC upon its defeat. You can also take on Bloodhound Knight Darriwil, 2 Knight Calvaries, Tree Sentinel, and Flying Dragon Agheel. Also, the Black Knife Assassin are all female.
I have never played any souls like games before and I went into elden ring blind. Obviously I went to margit first and I actually beat him pretty quickly without leveling up. I struggled more with the first npc you see when you get out hahaha.
Leonine misbegotten was my second boss to defeat and it actually only took me like 3 tries if you use one of those spirit things it isn’t a big problem
I beat Mirgit on my first run with just lone wolves pack, twin blade and the hire sorcerer and it was pure luck…I didn’t have any armor as well cause I find it slower to move when wearing something
Just get the bloodhound's fang and the game is in the easy mode for you! You can easily beat him with longs worn greatsword can be found quite easily in first part of the game.
Oh btw saying from experience don't summon sccorcer Roger because for me scorcer Roger kept dying in the start and I had to deal with Margit who had extra health now myself
There is one more boss called malenia, she's pretty easy and can help you with dodge learning
Oh yeah she’s the perfect boss for a lvl 1 wretch
Isn’t that the the boss that gives like a ton of runes for no difficulty whatsoever?
Bro she’s easier than most regular NPCs it’s crazy how easy they mad it

I cleared all of Limgrave field bosses and Weeping Peninsula and dropped Margit in like 2 attempts.
Used the wolves and just used Unsheathed
What unsheathed do because I have it but I don’t know how to use it what is the button you use to use it ?
@@kyojirorengoku1648 do an attack while holding l2
@@kyojirorengoku1648 hold L2 for PS4 and he grips his hilt, then R2 for a power attack and you'll lunge forward and do some serious damage and hopefully get a couple light hits in after to cause a chunk to be taken away from bleed damage.
Later on you might wanna look into the moonveil katana ( I believe it's called) and it has an even better ash of war with a light and heavy version of it and better stats (but you'll wanna start dumping points into intelligence, when not adding to vigor)
I’m doing my first play through of Elden Ring and I was able to beat leonide on my first try. I was very proud of myself!
Awesome guide, thx alot.
I killed bloodhound knight darriwil before, the curved sword he drops is really very helpful early
Do you recommend fighting Margit with a shield to block attacks or using your weapon two handed and rolling?
Hi, you can do it with or without the shield, I dropped the shield after 30 hours of game cause I genuinely couldn't coordinate and never used it. All I do is sprint, jump or run whenever an enemy attacks. So a very simple piece of advice from me would be to practice if you want to use a shield or not use it at all and pay attention to his moveset
Or roll* the most important thing is that you find your play style to feel the most comfy while playing
just a tip, a show of the location on the map would be better.
All the Bosses mentioned except for the last two I have not beaten.. interesting how vast the open world is.
All melee characters should also get their Faith to 14 to be able to use the divine weapon buff as that permanently kills skeletons
Easier to use the Sacred Blade Ashes of War, the weapon art one shots most skeletons, and the blade stays Holy for a while after you use it.
Crazy cause I went straight to margrit and beating tree sentinel and the boss in the wolves dungeon
I am level 40 something and haven’t even done these bosses. Thank you!!!
Thanks for the guide! I still had about 5 out of 7 of these to kill after beating margit and Godrick 😅 that being said as a strength build with beast champions altered armor and bloodhounds fang +5, I pretty much two shot every boss
Don't thank her dude. This has got to be a troll. The watchdogs, and the duelist are some of the most hated enemies in the game!!
Best thing to do is get spirit ashes so you can have a distraction across almost all boss encounters
with the help of my ghost ashes + NPC Edgar (see his red mark at the entrance) the fight against Leonine in Castle Morne was quite quickly and easy done
I'm terrible at this game and I beat Leonine Misbegotten on my first try. I'd say don't worry about fighting him
The Beast Man would have been the first boss that I encountered, but, novice as I was, I was constantly getting schlacked by the pack of wolves outside his gate.
If u choose astrologer you can take him from the beginning pretty easy
Great video going to do these I’m new and Margot spanned me hard!
how is everybody's wolf soul so strong? mine died without fail within .2s after summoning
I finally started this game and was in party chat when I got to margit. They told me to not bother and turn around, but I beat him on my 8th attempt. If you’ve played other souls games, the fight isn’t that bad.
I got lost in open world for a while and by the time I got back to story I beat Margit really fast first try since I was prob over leveled at 30ish but I had bloodhound fang that did high hemorrhage damage and if you use putrid ashes you can get scarlet rot or just use any ash to distract and hit hard from behind
Also if you buy Margit shackle from patches you’re able to use it twice in first phase in which it locks the boss down and gets you lots of free hits and easy stagger making first phase trivial
I tried to fight margit a bunch when I first started(like a week ago) but I’ve since put those foolish ambitions to rest
the way those watchdog bosses move is so uncanny
it took me 2 hours to beat this guy on my first playthrough as Lvl13 Samurai, solo, no summon and unupgraded starting items. such a painful boss.
More like "any overworld boss who lives under a convenient cliff where you can rock sling or frenzied burst them to death from the high ground", "Lenne's Rise Night's Cavalry who loves falling to his doom" and "any stationary boss you can sneak up behind to poison mist them".
Pumpkin Head is also a great boss to tackle before Margit. Especially for magic builds.
Leonine was a bit of a pain but i got him using the turtle shell shield.. use the shield special and block to heavy hit you are good💪🏻
First area of Map has tons of discoveries and rune farming spots. I say take your time and explore Limgrave first, as I think the game intended. Level up atleast to scale with Margit and enjoy your first triumph.
I didn’t know this going into the fight I did beat patches , and use the item , but honestly I’ve found so far the little like knights have been the hardest and most annoying to deal with
This was really helpful but y'all didn't include how to get to the grave warden duelist
I killed him but I didn’t get the hammer only the spirit????
@@hsqueeze6456 the last patch made it so he only drops ashes now, the hammer is with the coliseum gladiators

You should really try to defeat Leonine with a whip, with that you can easily cancel its attack and just keep going like that until it dies.
I also can only tell u to use these summons of a lonely wolf or what it is called, after he bit margit or whatever boss ur playingfor quite some hits, there is contant damage because of the perks from the dog easyyy
It would be fricking useful if you would FRICKING SHOW map LOCATIONS for EACH of them not just some. Otherwise, nice vid.
Real quick, if you can’t power up to beat that Tree Sentinel at the start of Limgrave, forget about stormville castle
After Leonine, Margit felt far easier to me. Maybe because Margit gave me time to heal or counter after one of his combos 😂
7:33 nah that’s the fusion blade from FF7 Advent Children
That dog be doin some DAMAGE
I feel so accomplished knowing Margoth wa the second boss I beat. Took me HOURS!!!
I missed the wolf until last
i literally best margit before i went back and beat the the boss in the fucking tutorial area
Why y'all just talking like I know where some of these are?
you can still get other bosses in Caelid as well before Margit
Just started the game, beated the tree sentinel at start(without leveling up) and then beated margit with parrys(small shield) took me 3 hours 4 mins
I walked that direction first…. The foul lord met his end at my blade!!!! After 20 try’s I summoned greater tarnished than I lol
Leonine misbegotten was my second boss to defeat and it actually only took me like 3 tries if you use one of those spirit things it isn’t a big problem
Margit was chill
I beat Mirgit on my first run with just lone wolves pack, twin blade and the hire sorcerer and it was pure luck…I didn’t have any armor as well cause I find it slower to move when wearing something
Bro black knife assassin is so easy, on my first try I parried once, then started slashing then boom he was dead.
Playing a 2 handed sword warrior with spirit summon the headless and most are a piece of cake.
Can’t be the only one who didn’t struggle against him that much, I beat him on my 3rd ish try
Don't kill patches...you get some really cool stuff doing his quest line
Plus Margit’s Shackle
i killed him by accident but i saw his quest line he died later on
Where is tree sentinel ???????
Also that bloodhound guy. I beat him first boss of the game
I think I've done all of them. I am level 55 and still haven't tried Margit. I was so overpowered for Patches that I actually killed him by accident
I somehow managed to get through margit on my second try, took me a while to get used to the game, spent a lot of time exploring first
Just get the bloodhound's fang and the game is in the easy mode for you! You can easily beat him with longs worn greatsword can be found quite easily in first part of the game.
Oh btw saying from experience don't summon sccorcer Roger because for me scorcer Roger kept dying in the start and I had to deal with Margit who had extra health now myself
Where is the grave warden duelist? Ik you said murk water catacombs but idk where that is on the map
