I have always wanted to buy this Glengoyne 25 but that's too late. I agree with you that their prices are far too high

Loved this eppisode. Would love to try the 28 as it sounds amazing. I am a high proof Bourbon and Scotch hound and the Glengoyne Cask strength is probably the best and most enjoyable.whisky I've ever owned. Got a soft spot for Glengoyne. It's bloody amazing at high strengths

Glengoyne was the whisky that really got me into things first. Starting off I enjoyed the 10 and 12 and then got the teapot dram which was Batch 8 at the time (Dec 2021). The further into my whisky exploration the further away I get from purchasing glengoyne though. I found the RRP of the relaunched 15 pretty hilarious considering Tamdhu 15 was £15 cheaper and at 46%. And the increase overnight last year on the 18 and 21 year old just put me off even further too. Not that I know how to price products or whatever but there's so many alternative options I'd rather explore now for better value.

You are right, it is a shame that it has begun to get overpriced like many distilleries now. I just hope that they focus on the 10 and 12 and somewhat improve it to attract more people into the brand and also, so that we can enjoy them more frequently without having to pay an arm and a leg.

I appreciate your point Jackson, all I would say is don't rule it out. as the distillery that got you into the whisky scene, I'm sure there's potential for you to find a gem in their lineup that works for you and your wallet

@@TheWhiskyBaron funny you say that as I've spotted it on a German website for about £60. Might give it a go if I'm still feeling so inclined come payday this month. Definitely keep an eye on their next Teapot Dram release too btw - although I am expecting it to be £130+ given the last batch was £120 Dec 2021.

Every "sherry-whisky" - distillery (Tamdhu, Glendronach, Glengoyne,...) is trying to go down a similar route like Macallan and it's a shame (Glengoyne have a 15yo hand-fill for ~250£)

Bought the 10yo a few years back using the theory that if the cheapest bottle is decent then the rest are probably promising.
It's weak piss at best and over priced.
I've not looked at GlenG since.
    Make entry level bottles decent!!!!
Give me a reason to look at the rest of the range.
