The constitutional future of NI is up to its people, not Charles. Always mystifying to see Irish nationalists advocating unilateral decisions by the British monarch.
Imagine how the king will be proclaimed in the old days. Many people may not disagree with me. Coming from a country where military dictators are running the country, sometimes, I wish there will be a king in the country who will say to the government leaders when to step down if one is not properly running the country. I don't fully understand the function of the king in the country but I find it a beautiful culture/ceremony. I remember how happy I was when the leader of the Catholic Church, Pope Francis was elected. May be similar feelings for those who love having a king in their country.

Really not sure why a monarch is praised so much by Americans. This is the same family that we fought against in the Revolutionary War.
Many Americans respected QE2. The revolutionary gave us Americans the freedom to be able to to praise the monarchy if we want to. Besides, QE2 nor Charles 3 is that Crazy George that taxed us into breaking away. QE2 always did right by Americans, so why wouldn't we praise her?
You fought them personally? Wow
I mean technically the United States wasn’t a thing then and it was essentially a civil war and brits fighting brits so really we beat ourselves lol.
Americans yearn for a monarch. That's why we've been having problems with an "imperial presidency" over the past 70 years or so--giving more and more powers to the President that the founding fathers never intended the President to have. They'd be horrified to see that powers Congress should exercise are now frequently exercised by the President. But the U.S. President doesn't come with the fancy hats, the crusty costumes, the ancient ceremonies and the trumpeteers. Yet. So they go to the second best option--the UK monarchy.
