I don't currently have access to a spectrometer to give you accurate CRI ratings. Visually though, there is no major colour tint compared to my standard lightings

The Amaram is going to be a lot brighter! Even though they bother
Have the designation of 60 you have to look at the luxs they put out. The Amaram puts out 45,000 Lux at 1 meter with reflector where as the Zhiyun only puts out around 11,194 at one meter with reflector. Amaram is still a much better light for the money.

I have them both and unfortunately it doesn’t compare Amaran still reigns king The only thing in my opinion that the zhiyun is really good for travel when you take the X 100 for example the CRI goes out of whack and it goes from really cold to really warm so to me that’s no good

What mic do you use?
Which one would you recommend overall? For what situation? I just copped the Sony ZV-E1 and I need a good lighting rig (portable would be icing on the cake) I currently use Newer NL 660 but definitely not a soft box type light. I also have a couple of cheap umbrella lights. Time to upgrade for sure!

@@EleazarGray It stands for Spectral Similarity Index. Its a way of measuring color accuracy for lighting thats a higher standard and more accurate than CRI or TLCI. Companies are able to boast high CRI values when cutting corners on certain color bands on a light chip. The comparison I made above is a great example. The M60 has a CRI of 96 and the 60XS also has a CRI of 96. If you look at these two next to each other it would be a pretty easy decision to go with the G60 based soley on that metric. Which is what companies like Zhiyun are counting on (not trying to hate on them, its just a marketing tactic). WHen you compare the SSI you will notice a marked difference in light quality between the two.
If extreme portability is your determining factor the G60 but if light quality is the factor go with the 60x. Plenty of others much smarter than me have made videos in depth about SSI so id check them out but knowing the accuracy of your light is super important to matching it with other lights.

@@aleksivahapassi I love mine. I use it for video. The auto focus is amazing now. Every bit as good as Sony in my opinion. The video features are also way above Sony. I have the 50mm f1.8 and the kit lens 20-60mm nothing else required. I shoot short films. Colours are great. Almost the perfect camera.
Sad part is that they don't sell these in India 😮

When you see a flood of UA-camrs talking about how amazing a light is, it’s an immediate red flag. There’s a reason no one talks about how bright these are compared to competitors
