    I put a bit of your vid into editor and added 5% Contrast 20% saturation, now that would be My preference try it and see the difference, everything just pops out your skin and face nice healthy tone and your shirt looks black and walls dark blue. I should note that I dont have My studio set up however I do understand graphics design same rules apply.

      Hey man thanks for the advice. I’m still getting used to color grading. I’m also starting to realize that you need to take breaks for your eyes when doing it because you get used to the way it looks and think it’s looks great while doing the color grading and then when you watch it later you realize…. It’s not that great 😅😅 especially when I compare to my iPhone…

    Nice video @creatorsource. A small tip from a portrait photographer...Angle of Incidence vs. Angle of Reflection. If you have the ability to slightly elevate your key light so that the light hits your lenses and reflects down towards your knees, you can eliminate that reflection altogether. Some trial and error. Your set is looking great though! Very nice presentation.

      @Creator-Source  11 місяців тому +1

      I guess I need a higher stand or something for that. I have the light as high as it can go currently but I’ll keep that in mind for future set ups!

    • @Creator-Source

      Well the soft boxes ARE key lights essentially. Really it’s just a matter of brightness and color (white balance color)

    My dude, I think you can make your vídeos a little brighter. Ther eis this guy Mark Wiemels that always talks about M50 and how to take the most of it with the lights and the sets on the camera.
    Right now I have a pretty old Canon T3i that I got from a friend and I try to get the max out of it with my lights and setup so I don't need to twink with color correction later.
    At the moment I use an Elgato Key Light Air near my face to give a nice shadow contrast, an old ring light to give a little orange flaver to the shot, and two little blue lamps in the back to give a nice blue aspect on my videos and some background lights
    I'm planning to buy a M50 Mark ii next week 🤔

    Great video! When I turn the key light on (led panel with softbox), the background isn’t dark anymore. Even if only using 20% or less. Do you have any idea how to change that?

    • @Creator-Source
      @Creator-Source  7 днів тому

      You can try getting the light higher up and angling more down or have two lights at your sides pointed at you but not to the background. If you got more money to spare get a soft box that has the grid on it to make it a very directed light so it doesn’t splash on your back ground. I talk about that more in my other two updated videos about lighting

      Yeah…. It depends on how you save it. If you use like cinematic or anything that saves it as an apple only file then you can’t access it on windows computers. I had to change my videos to save as a mp4 and then make sure they are not too big to be able to do anything with them… it sucks I know but unless you have an apple pc then you can’t do anything with those types of files

    Do you have a video on setting up the M50? I have one but not sure the most cost effective way to set it up

    • @Creator-Source
      @Creator-Source  11 місяців тому

      It’s not too complicated. I use the lens it came with and keep it at F3.5
      Also lower the ISO to like 250-400. In order to use such a low ISO you need a strong powerful light. Once you got that going you can just set the white balance and bam you got a nice picture. It’s all in the lighting though. I used to use cheap $30 ring lights that you see in the video and they just couldn’t cut it.

    How do u feel about recording in 4k vs 1080 on UA-cam
    I’m using the canon you have and my go pro for a b shot

    • @Creator-Source
      @Creator-Source  2 місяці тому

      The 4K on the canon doesn’t have auto focus with the face tracking and it zooms in WAY too much for me to actually use it so for my it’s 1080 all the way. I forget it even has 4k at times. Maybe for b roll it works good but for the most part it’s like a set it and forget it kinda deal with my m50

    • @Creator-Source

      Hmmmm I mean if the crop doesn’t affect you or you can make it work then go for it. The autofocus would not work for me when I tried it and so I just stuck with the 1080p. Try it out though and see how it works 👍
