First off it’s absolutely insane how you do all of this as a one man band! Secondly we need to get another video on how you work your audio because the difference between cleaned and raw is night and day! Doing great my bro🏆🏆🏆
Thank you so much Kwesi, and Merry Christmas. The solo shooting stuff is a blood-sport loool, very risky but I've been doing it long enough now to the point where I am pretty confident. A few have asked me about my audio clean up so I'll see what I can do, might just export my settings and put it up on my site 🙌
The way you get those closeups of the bride and groom during ceremony are gorgeous. During my weddings I find it difficult to get in those angles. Love the gear!
Good call with attaching the voice recorders to the mics! I've had so many experiences where the mic would just be crackly and/or die in the middle of the speeches, making editing a nightmare.
That little Sony ICD-TX660 recorder sounds like the audio is from a TV show or movie set its really good. In a weird way its too good. Most of the time when you heard audio from a wedding it does not sound like this and sounds like wedding videographer sound if you know what I mean. The lowlight on the FX3 is possibly only superior in SLO3 at the dual native ISOs. With my profile it's clean throughout the ISO range until you get to the higher ISO ranges.
I've been looking at the 35mm GM for quite some time but have been discouraged time and again by the comments about how bad the focus breathing is. I've personally never dealt with a lens with terrible focus breathing, so I'm wondering has that been an issue for you as a wedding filmmaker? I imagine the most blatant examples of breathing would be when you have this lens on a tripod camera and things are moving in and out of frame, but for moving shots is it something that's even noticeable?
Hey there, yeah there was a lot of talk about the focus breathing on the 35GM and it kinda felt like a trend/talking topic for some of these UA-camrs. Honestly speaking it hasn’t been an issue for me when using it on a gimbal with the way that I move, but for tripod/static shots it will be noticeable, focus breathing issues have been an issue across a lot of lenses for years…you only really get 0 breathing on cine lenses which come at a cost
