Good video!! Something overlooked and the dealer will overcharge you on --> Don't forget change that cabin air filter, especially living in Southern California!
Most of the Camaro tires are directional so you don't want to rotate them side to side. Shame they didn't put the oil filter at the top in a cartridge like they did on the Gen 5 V6. Love that format, so much cleaner and easier. I miss that from switching to my 2SS
I will definitely do that, they wanted me to leave it at the dealer shop for a few days because they “didn’t feel the jerk” i was talking about, it usually only happens in the morning. Cold weather maybe?
the engine oil should be in the crosshatch area not above it or below it. The crosshatch is the acceptable range. above it is overfull and should be drained. below it add 1qt. if its in the range its fine no oil needs to be added. When changing your oil in the SS fill oil filter befor putting it on and add the rest of the qt and 8 more qts. 9.5qts will usually fill it. 10 will most likely over fill it.
Hey man, you don’t want to run your tires at 50 psi. That is for MAX load. That is what that tire is rated to go up to. Go off your door placard. That is based off weight distribution of the vehicle to give you the best fuel efficiency, ride quality and life if the tire. If the tire is aired up to much it will cause wear on the center rib of the tire, vs If to little air pressure will cause the tire to sit slouched and wear out the edges.
Hey Lethal can you make an oil change video. I would like to learn that way I don't take mine to the dealership every time because I'm sure they don't care about the car like I do lol
Hi my friend. Very good all your videos, congratulations. What about the change of fuel filter? Do we need to change it? Where is this filter? I heard that when it is clogged, there could be a problem when the car is accelerating ("engine hesitation"). Many thanks and regards from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Hey Matt, love your videos. How about that cabin filter removal? Only one video on how to do it plus Chevrolet has referred me to their repair guide for help! Can you say $799 for a repair manual to remove and replace a $10 filter? I bought a crow bar at Walmart yesterday. Wish me luck.
I check my camaro oil when the engine is cold or sitting level for an hour or so. The 10 quart capacity takes a long time to run back into the pan. What oil change interval are u using? The factory interval or ur own?
Hey Lethal, you mentioned the 6th Gen. SS models are designed for side-to-side and not corner-to-corner tire rotation..By side to side do you mean just dropping down the front left to back left, etc.? Also, for 6th Gen. SS, assuming normal driving and stock, how many miles should you rotate or is it better to check with dealer? Thanks!
Dude I love your videos I just bought my black tail Iights for my 2018 comaro s.s I was wondering if you can help me and install the tail lights I’ll pay you for your time brotha.
The dip stick oil is kinda tricky for me when I check it sometimes it will read low but when I check inside the car it will read it high what's up with that?
Phantom the dip stick is a little tricky, you have to measure it about an hour or so after its parked and off. Try to park it somewhere level. It can read differently if the car has been recently circulating oil.
hey bud, have a question, have you ever experienced a flashing check engine light on your camaro? cus this is the second time i take mine to the dealer because that happen to me when i was at high speed on the highway...
Do you get a rear diff noise when dirving in the morning? I feel like every time I get in my 16 2SS the rear diff has a noise when turning. It has 2k miles on it... Should I take it to the dealer?
Since I have a new 2017 Camaro I haven't had to change the oil yet. Does the oil life gauge test the viscosity of the oil or how much is left? Do you use synthetic?
Lethal I'm tracking the different tires. I would strongly recommend you do a chalk test for proper inflation. Max rated psi and what your car should have are almost always two different numbers. Hopefully after the winter 1le wheels will be in my future as well. Love the channel keep it up.

Thank you! Very helpful. Will be checking my 2017 chevy camaro from now on for regular maintenance! Great tips! 👍

I like to run mine between 40 and 45 psi........less wear on the engine... I'd rather wear out tires than wear out engines......
Thanks for the video on changing the cabin filter. very helpful

Brake fluid level drops due to pad wear, you should be checking your brakes not adding fluid
The basics always good....great videos👍👍👍
don't forget your blinker fluid ;)
I love the both model of the Camaro 2016 and 17
Great video! Do you know anything about the bottom tank of the coolant it looks weird to me and please mention the lil cap behind the coolant cap.!
What about transmission fluid or rear diff fluid etc? How often do I need to change those

Nice Video - I have 2016 1SS with 6 speed stick shift.
Me too. White 2016 1SS with 6 speed stick. Where do you drain the coolant ?
great vid Matt...newbies need guidance to, if not more!
How about a DIY oil change video? Would be cool to see you do that
+Leif Jensen I need to make one of those....

I have the exact same car. White 2016 1SS with the 6.2 liter V8. Where do you drain the coolant ?
Can't do side to side with directional tires
Good info thx, Lethal.
Had a question. Was the catch can made for the Camaro or is it generic and work for other vehicles?
I check my camaro oil when the engine is cold or sitting level for an hour or so. The 10 quart capacity takes a long time to run back into the pan.
What oil change interval are u using?
The factory interval or ur own?
+nibot kram I do every 3k miles
so the battery is in the trunk, is that easy to access?
Great video Matt thanks for the info 👍🏽
What are the pros and cons of a CATCH CAN
Catch can catches dirt

How often do you have to change your blinker fluids?
+cdtrack51 every 3 weeks and 3 times in December.
What's blinker fluid for?
keeps your blinkers blinking bright

+Phantom Menace703 I have heard the digital sensors could be an issue. I would take it to your dealer if that is the case.
Lethal ok thanks it could never figure I out I always take it in for oil changes when it gets around 20%
+Phantom Menace703 Yeah most dealers will not deny the change at or below 20%
Lethal thanks I'll get it checked out

Anyone else having a transmission jerk problem on 2017 LT1 ?
Have your dealer do a trans relearn
I had that issue at 1 point. They have to replace the trans fluid with Mobil 1 A
hey bud, have a question, have you ever experienced a flashing check engine light on your camaro? cus this is the second time i take mine to the dealer because that happen to me when i was at high speed on the highway...
+Chest Cacho have any mods done to the car?
no, nothing, just hit 6k miles.
Do you get a rear diff noise when dirving in the morning? I feel like every time I get in my 16 2SS the rear diff has a noise when turning. It has 2k miles on it... Should I take it to the dealer?
+josh sowers I do not, take your car in.

Hey matt , how many miles on your camaro ?
+Mo Lo 10k
Awsome vid
Matt are you stating that you keep your tires at 50 PSI?
+Steve Pounder I have different tires than stock and their max psi is 50. I have mine at 45psi
Lethal I'm tracking the different tires. I would strongly recommend you do a chalk test for proper inflation. Max rated psi and what your car should have are almost always two different numbers. Hopefully after the winter 1le wheels will be in my future as well. Love the channel keep it up.
Do you have a link for the catch can?
clutch fluid reservoir? whereizzat?
they are still useing the brake res on the 6th gen
Not if there directional tired.
SS has bigger tirers on front to back.
Its called Dex-cool, not coolant. Coolant is green for ethylene glycol.
Both are coolant. The difference between them is what kind of chemicals are used to make the coolant.
