Dude thank you so much for the guide. I'm not mechanically inclined and this was the first actual work I've done on my car. This guide helped me out so much, the instruction manual was confusing as fuck to me
So without reading all the comments. How much hp was this worth over stock air box with drop in filter?

Definitely just followed this on my install. That tube gave me a pain though. But happy with it overall
My favourite so far, i was not a fan of the other 2. The complete sealed housing makes the most sense, the solid intake tube would keep the most consistent intake volume, and the massive filter with smaller intake tube seems ideal for performance gains or just keeping stock numbers. The more products you review the more money you save me!!!

Hey Lethal thanks for posting your videos. My Roto Fab oiled CAI w/o sound tube delete just arrived for my black 2017 1SS. I am replacing the stock air box with drop in K & N air filter. Looks pretty straight forward on the removal of the stock set up and install on the Roto Fab. Mike from Chicago, IL

Awesome video man! Cant wait to see the testing literally will wait to hit the buy button until we get the results lol but as far as design looks very similar to the Camaro z/28 stock intake. They do not offer other colors currently.
Thanks Lethal for the install video! Keep up the great work man. One tool suggestion though: lose the flat head screwdriver and grab a set of nut drivers. It makes life much easier, lol.

HI , I want to install the roto fab intake on my 2022 camaro SS when it get delivered to me in 3 weeks. Will this cause the check engine light to come on because of different airflow? also I love all your videos! Bob W from Rhode Island
I sometime go to the car wash and sometimes wash the engine bay. Would pressure washers ruin anything on this roto-fab?

If my camero 1le is tuned with the stock, intake, and I replace it will there be any damage ? Or should I take it to the tuner and have him install it and tune it ,all over with the roto intake..?

That's the oiled filter. I have the same one. The dry one is more white colored.

Only if you buy the big gulp intakes. I've asked around to local Camaro groups and that's the common answer.

Thank you for the discount on phastech and the video! Just installed mine after work and without your video I think it would have taken longer but I knew what to look for. I hope that some day mine will be as powerful as yours is! Deleting the sound tube is by far the best first mod that should be done, really didn't enjoy it as much as the sweet, sweet exhaust notes.

I've been waiting for a video install of the roto fab on a 16. I had one on my 5th and loved it. Have you had the chance to take it for a test drive yet? Also I had a question about your vitesse controller. Have you thrown any cell codes with it and do you still use it daily. I Appreciate the time and effort you put into your video. Very informative.

You actually need a Torx to remove the MAF sensor from the factory airbox.

Yup, the seal is fresh and it will form fit to the hood after a few warm ups.

Roto-Fab all day long. CAI lost power on the dyno.
I installed a different one on my car from eBay very good quality and my gas mileage got way better and my acceleration, power. for 160$

Of the three you've installed and tested so far which intake sounded the best? I actually like the sound of air being sucked into the engine and don't mind any whistle either, the louder the better. Also didn't you get the MSD intake manifold a few months back? Ever going to install it?

Hey man , just installed the exact same intake the same way you did. Idk if i’m trippin but I felt less power in 2nd gear. In the description where I bought it , it said it did not need a tune. I’m starting to think maybe it does?

@@ihaveranchhand8148 make sure the box itself is all the way down bro. I had no issues with pushing the hood down

This is the normal setup. A Big Gulp is for 750rwhp+ cars only. Either or is good
Any idea where I can find the connector that goes from the roto fab elbow intake to the pcv catch? I bought a used one off of someone but it didn’t come with that connector

I just installed my RotoFab on my 2016 ss camaro and everything went well except my cooling fan goes on high after revving it up and after shutting car off the fan stays on. Only way to shut off is d/c neg battery. Please help.

not really any gains. maybe like 5 hp but the sound alone is worth it
like an exhaust. backpressure is a myth so you'll get like a max of 2hp from a expensive exhaust. but the sound alone is worth it
Hey Lethal, whats the difference between the oiled filter and the dry filter? Benefits vs negatives?
+S Alex oiled is reusable, but provides 2 less HP. Dry is not really reusable and gains you 2hp. Dry will cost you more in the long run.
Ok, but how often do you actually need to service the oiled one? Or, how many miles til you would need to replace the dry one? Im trying to decide which setup to ship to my "out of state friend," for my 1LE...LOL. Thanks!
+StoplightWarrior depends on where you live as your filter will need to be cleaned or washed based upon the local environment.

Hey, so I installed the RotoFab but now I have a check engine light. The connections seem decent. Any recommendations ?
Did it go away after two days?
@@bluewaffle323 honestly, it was my fault. I didn't have the clamps tight enough. I never had a problem since. If you're having a problem, just make sure all your connections are snug. It was all my fault. Reset the battery after you checked everything.
How does it sound? I am only looking to change my stock one with CAI for better sound, not worried about performance gains, do you think this sounds better than cold air inductions or mishimoto? Thanks....

Hey lethal, I've heard of some issues with this cai and the hood. Are you having any alignment issues since it seals tight with the hood?

I'm looking forward to seeing your upcoming dyno test video. For a more accurate test, would you consider closing the hood during the dyno runs and testing? In my opinion, if the hood it's up, there is no way to test the reliability of the top gasket fitting tightly and sealing to the hood. If that hood seal leaks hot air, it will show in the dyno results of its sucking hot air from the engine compartment with closed hood. That's the only way you can actually test these CAIs since that top seal is so important to its success of supplying colder air over the stock box. Do you agree?
+Steve Greer we did test off cam with a closed hood. Results were the same. But will do all tests hood closed this time.
Due to airflow characteristics, the Roto-fab CAI actually performs better with the hood closed. the MAF is very touchy with this car so it is important for the air entry to be consistent with driving conditions.

LethalGarage also, is it possible to convert my fifty edition front bumper to the zl1s. i like that aggressive look to it. im already pretty sure im buying a carbon fiber hood that looks like the zl1s except it doesnt have the zl1 emblem.
