Cool video. I basically have the exact same mods (plus 103mm TB) and picked up 149rwhp, which is consistent with yours. The car is a blast to drive, and the chop is awesome.
Not bad. I got a buddy with his 2019 5.0 with 395 whp stock. Just ported fact mani, full headers-exhaust, TB and filter drop in and got it to 475 rwhp. On E it got to 530 rwhp. I still dont believe it but hey, 585 crank hp,v0-60: 3.2 sec and 10.8@132 says it all. Surprised the LT1 needs a 12k HC, pack to get similar power as the stang did for under 5300. Also didnt know cam swap on 2016+ LT1 was such a huge PITA compared to the LS3/LS6/LS2/LS1. Looks like a power adder is better for the LT1 200 whp for 7500.
Problrm is you could leave most of it stock and just slap a prochsrger on it, 160 rwhp for 7k. I bet this set up in the video is over 7k, probably closer to 13k from their website. Over prices mods.
@MasterCarguy44-pk2dq And you add 60-70 lbs over the front wheels, been there done that (2002 Pontiac TA with Vortech SC) it made great dyno numbers but the performance wasn't there at the track vs heads and cam making 50 less whp. Adding 60-70 lbs impacts the weight distribution, reducing weight transfer and makes it plow more I'm turns as a track car. I didn't even touch on potential heat soak. NA is the way to go with LSX. Forced Induction is great if you have less displacement to begin with, like a 4 or 6 cylinder. The only caveat here is those rear mounted twin turbo kits that put the weight over the rear wheels and of course C8 kits that similarly put the additional weight over the rear wheels.
@@Madmaxxxx1984 l been running it on my 2011 Camaro SS and been using Lucas ethanol conditioner with stabilizers they recommend one ounce for every 5 gallons l use 2 ounces every 5 gallons it lubricates valves combustion chambers and the top of the pistons and it eliminates the moisture buildup that happens when E85 is stored for weeks or months my car runs extremely well on it for awhile now with no problems so far I've been getting it for 2.90 a gallon and it's 100+ octane the inside tailpipes tips still look like new with no dirt or burned brown residue after 10 or more tanks ran through and the spent exhaust fumes are barely noticeable compared to gasoline fumes it runs very clean with very little smell my car is naturally aspirated but modified
FOR WHAT IT IS WORTH: This is a very impressive increase of RWHP & torque. Congrats!!!! If you haven't done-so already...??...I strongly suggest the following beneficial additions: Up-grade the coils, wires & plugs to boost the rear-wheel torque & a measurable horsepower gain. Factory plugs, coils & wires are the weakness of your engine heads upgrade. These OEM items can't exploit the benefits of those aftermarket, efficient, high-flow heads. As you likely know, an upgrade of the fuel injectors can also boost numbers. But save them for last. Additionally, a Flowmaster X-Scavenger installed near the collectors of the headers will balance the exhaust flow & efficiently enhance scavenging. There-by, greatly increasing engine torque profile. Obviously, even more-so if you can ditch or by-pass the catalytic converters. No-doubt, your professional engine guys know these "tuner points" as well. Respectfully, Ben
You did it all without boost, which is a great challenge to meet. An experienced modder could fab up a custom turbo kit and all the necessary supporting mods for no more than the same cost of all the parts and labor in this vid and have a lot more power potential. There'd definitely be trade-offs either way; pick your poison, I suppose.
I wish they'd say how much this work costs. I mean if its $7000 You might as well just put in a supercharger and call it a day. A lot less labor involved
I wouldn't call it a day with just a supercharger. You can still add additional mods beyond that and produce even more power/torque depending on your personal preferences of course.

@@thomaswood5246 only a supercharger on a stock engine will blow it up in 10k miles. Guy supercharged my c7 Grandsport before I got it. He about 10k b4 it blew most all of the piston rings and oil rings. I bought it cheap ans rebuilt the engine. 😩

When you were working with the intake manifold off it gave me so much anxiety I was just thinking put some tape over those ports or something if a bolt falls in there and you don’t notice that engine is fucked

Sadly these new 2016+ LT1's suck for doing a cam. Gotta pull half the damn engine now. Used to be easy max 1-2 hrs at home, pop hood all from top front.

Very nice. So, what are we talking price wise for the whole thing? One could get 140 WHP spending about 8k on a supercharger and not have to mess with opening the motor and spending so much time with labor.
@@kartune551 going in the engine and changing a bunch of parts inside of it has a higher chance of blowing up your engine. As long as the proper supercharger kit is used and it's properly installed you shouldn't blow up your engine........just like doing a N/A built if the parts are right and installed properly you should be fine.

I just picked my 2020 LT1 Camaro last week.
This upgrade could be on the list. Plus the whole E85 is freaking awesome.
Do you know if the 85 conversion is corrosive in a long-term? I heard it is I don't want to know for sure before I do it to my coyote .

The cost is as much maybe more than a supercharger but supercharger at 7 to 8 psi puts down 550 to 600 whp on pump gas. I m not sure if its worth it.

@@hemikid52 there's no heatsoak with NA vs boosted, meaning if you do a couple hard pulls back to back you'll be making less hp with the boosted car.

140 wheel for about 7k isnt too bad. The cam and head fixed most of the AFM issue, not all though.
What is cam duration specs @ .050s? A brother's got to know.

Adding boost to ur car u may have a higher chance and risk in blowing ur engine..

388whp is the lowest I've seen on a 6th Gen... like almost 20whp lower than most. Is the auto that much weaker like the Gen 5?

Was this done on the stock fuel pump and injectors? Or did you need to upgrade?
No answer...I'm wondering the same thing. He did mention the catch an...so I'm assuming no fuel upgrade, but he also didn't mention anything about a fuel lobe on the BTR camshaft.
For the price of all those parts, plus install plus tune, you can get a supercharger kit.
