Gave up on modding this game after beating liberty city modless only doing this so I can do new game plus with my different builds. Thank you for a cohesive video. Saved me a lot of frustration with proton tricks as I missed on of the installs. Cheers

Wanted to let ya know that I followed your instructions a couple months ago and everything worked perfectly - but the latest patch from CDPR appeared to kill Cyber Engine Tweaks!! you're welcome. there's an update for cyber engine tweaks that support the phantom liberty dlc. but the install process is the same.

It was actually so easy . If your steam is in beta proton won't work you have to switch back to simple .

Hey, I've enjoyed your videos. You've helped me with Skyrim and now this. I was able to get CET on my steam deck with no issues. After that I ran into one though with Equipment EX. I got the redscript compilation error. It had an issue with Archive XL and Codeware. I installed them into the main directory like CET with no luck. I then deleted the cache and tried to reinstall, no dice. I thought it might be a version mismatch but I I'm using the most current versions of everything. Do you have any ideas?
Maybe the mod needs more dependencies?
Thanks for the reply. It does have 3 other requirements, RED4ext, redscript, and TweakXL... I installed them manually as well but didn't think they were the problem since the error message singled out the other two. I'll try reinstalling all of them to be sure...I don't remember those mods needing anything but I'll double check. Thanks again.

Hi, thx it worked... BUT i changed the binding and unfortunatly i forgot which key i used. Now i cant open the menue. Any Ideas how i can fix it?
Deleting ..\Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64\plugins\cyber_engine_tweaks\bindings.json should force it to re-prompt you to set a default the next time you start the game.

Hey! There's apparently 122gb worth of "other" that's taking up space (it's not shader cache according to a cleaner) any idea what that could be? I'd need to find that out in order for cyberpunk + dlc to fit in.

Works perfectly with Version 2.11 & CET 1.30.1! I couldn't seem to get 2.12 working with CET at all though.
Did cet get updated to support the latest version?

Do you need to use the launcher and the enable mods toggle to use REDmod mods, or can you skip the launcher and still use them?

Im amazed that workshop support is as rare as it is. I have like 80 games and only 21 of them are moddable from steam.
Oh really? Got a list of which games are moddable and which are not?
@@GrownUpGamingGUGit's weird like OG Skyrim has workshop support but Special Edition doesn't. The Witcher 3 supports the workshop but Cyberpunk doesn't. I wish there were more consistency.
I'm on Linux, which means that the workshop is the only simple, easy way to mod games. Other methods usually don't even work.
What's workshop?
@@GrownUpGamingGUG The Workshop is steam's native mod catalog. You can super easily "subscribe" to mods for games that support it. You don't even have to leave Steam.
Like I said, this is basically the only simple way to mod games on Linux.
But it doesn't sound like it has compatibility with many games as you mentioned above and those games like Skyrim se and cyberpunk can be modded on like I have done in this video.
After doing all the steps the key binding thing isn’t showing up for me. Any advice or help I could get would be much appreciated. I just wanna get cool mods for cloths and visuals. If I can still continue to those type of mods without the key bind thing I’d appreciate it letting me know. Thank you!

so I've already downloaded the patch but is says its CET.133.0 not the same on the video. Is it alright? Plus, I dont see my "warpinator" folder even on the hidden folders is it because I installed it directly to my steamdeck (i saw your other video on transferring it from PC) any alternatives that I can do so I can apply this cheat??
CET gets updated as the game gets updated. Make sure you get the version that supports your game version. Other than warpinator you can use ftp.
@@GrownUpGamingGUG how can I look for the cyberpunk folder in my steamdeck? apologies for being annoying for this questions. I've tried alot of ways I can to search for it but I couldn't find it. And do you have any videos on how to transfer it to ftp? its the first time encountering it when you mentioned it here. very much appreciated!
@@qtmhell you need to locate the game folder. If it's steam version normally it's in the common folder. If it's non-steam you can put it anywhere.

@@qtmhell how did you install the game? Like I said, if it's steam version, go to home/deck/.steam/steam/Steamapps/common/ folder. If it's non-steam then you should know where you put it.

After completing step 2 (install a Windows DLL or component), selecting the proper d3dcompiler and vcrun2022, I press “okay” and then I never get the Microsoft Visual C++ pop up and the pop ups proceeding that. Do you have any solution that may help?
It's take awhile. But if it doesn't happen, maybe restart and try again?

Hey there. It says i have some corrupted or missing scrips and it’s forced to close? is this because of the update or something i have done? I did download a couple mods that maybe don’t work but nothing too powerful. I followed everything in the video
there's an update for phanton liberty. try that one out. you might need to delete some of your old mods. it might be conflicting. not totally sure.

When I run proton it says my games aren't in the directory and I have to add them or something but then it shows them but when I click cyberpunk it closes proton

Ehh nvm I found out how to just do it all manually the easy ways never work for me 😂 . I have to manually do it all same for read dead 2 I can't get those menus to open to turn off and on mods I just drag and drop it all not to complicated or annoying I don't mind .
Help! When i start the game it says ‘CET first time setup’ ‘please, bind some key combination for toggling overlay! Combo can be composed from up to 4 keys.’ Then two buttons with ‘Overlay Key’ and ‘binding…’
Pressing steam and X does nothing here and idk what to do
Did you eventually get it? For me, I can pull up the virtual keyboard with steam button + x.

It might just be that I’m new to modding and messed up somehow, but the key binding window still doesn’t pop up for me. Is there anything else I could try? I’ve been trying to get this to work for months and nothing has worked.

Edit: Also, if it makes any difference, the message asking me to bind a key popped up a couple of days ago, but I couldn’t figure out how to actually bind a key and it hasn’t popped up since then.
@@johncenareilly3620 try downloading another asi loader. There's others on the internet, maybe the asi loader is out of date.

I haven't played cyberpunk 2077 in awhile. Just search cp2077 asi loader on Google and download what you can find and try it out. It's free. Nothing to lose. You've tried for so long already.

@@GrownUpGamingGUG Yeah, seems you have to set "WINEDLLOVERRIDES="winmm,version=n,b" %command% --launcher-skip -modded" and change the windows version to 10 on non steamdeck installations
Also works perfectly with any other mods, although it eats performance a bit lol

Omfg I had no idea when you open proton it tells you your game number so you can find it way easier on steam deck 🤯 there's a different way you have to find games sometimes not through common where there by name but it will be all the games by number that's the correct location to mod most games but it's so hard to tell which game is which ,proton shows you the game name and number I had no idea lol 😂

followed this via lutris and now my game wont open :((((((((((....setted up wine prefix...followed steps not working....changed to the settings it was before and it doesnt work again loool damn...i felt so hyped for 11 minuts :(

i followed everyting to the t and it still did not work I ran the wineconfig, and installed the vrun and the dx and nothing happened
Please list the steps you did in details. See if I can spot anything you missed.
@@GrownUpGamingGUG so first i download the redmod and made sure it was intstalled, then i put the cyber teaks into the directory. Downloaded protontricks, selected cyberpunk from protontricks, selected the default wineprefix, then ran winecfg and selected version as the override, applyed then ok. After that i intstalled d3dcomplier 47 and vrun 2022. i even connect my keyboard and mouse prior to launching.
what version of the game are you on? 1.63?

If your steam deck is on steam beta proton tricks doesn't work. You have to switch back to simple

@@GrownUpGamingGUG theres nothing to miss there ,its few simple steps:1 extract and put the zip contents in the main folder 2 run protonup install vc run and dx, complete it and then run the game and thats it, tought that i missed somtin aswell but no step by step and still nothin, doesnt work

@@GrownUpGamingGUG so the problem was that the 2.0 update disabled all mods for a bit. I downloaded the 2.0 version from Nexus mods and now everything works great.

i don't have this game on gog.com. but i would use herioc games launcher to lauch gog games and the process of installing this mod is basically the same.

Switch to steamOS stable 3.5.19.

In gaming mode, settings, system, change the update channel to stable, then update.
@@GrownUpGamingGUG I ended up figuring this out, sort of. Can't choose 3.5.19 and stable is like 3.9 or something now.
Choosing stable, then main from the other drop down, gives you version 3.7 which still currently works with protontricks.
