Lord Manderly: "Jon Snow avenged the Red Wedding!"
Arya: "Hold my face!!!"
Hahahaha. That comment made me fall from my chair. Brilliant.
That comment almost slit my throat!
HOLD MY FACE XD XD XD XD
His meaning is that by defeat of boltons he avenged red wedding !!
He did in a way.
No one ever says this, but I love Carice van Houten’s performance here, showing Melisandre’s vulnerability... The breaking in her voice when she says “I was wrong” is perfect
I always tear up with the Jon Snow reveal and King in the North scene.
"There's nothing to forgive my lord." Damn. How good is Jon Snow!
Best episode of season 6.
Bully Boy, Best episode ever
I’m really gonna ugly cry when(if) this moment is revealed in the books.
The scene with Davos and Melisandre is amazing. Liam Cunningham absolutely killed this scene.
Fun side note: So back when rttv was reacting to Game of Thrones, I did a list of where they might have seen some of the actors before in other movies or TV shows. That's when it dawned on me that Liam is Sarah's dad in the 90s remake of A Little Princess.
@@iloveyourunclebob Liam & Carice (Davos & Melissandre) played a couple in a movie called Black Butterflies (2011) ;)
Liam Cunningham gives probably the most heartbreaking performance in the whole series in that scene.
"She was good, she was kind..." - Oh yes it is perfectly played.
He gave a great performance but Davos is a hypocrite. How many good and kind children died because of the wars he fought for Stannis? He may not have killed them directly but they still died.
@@philippschmidt80 that can be said for basically any character in this story.
@@philippschmidt80 When? When did Davos get involved with any battles or attacks that involved children getting killed?
@@elliotjohnson9415 The aftermath of The Battle Of Castle Black. Some kids could have died there.
Great idea Lacey: to pause the video after the Baby-Jon scene. I think everyone at home paused there and talked about it too, lord knows I did!
Yes, so glad she paused instead of talking over dialogue. Good decision!
Yo lo hice pero para hablar solo con mi mente porque estaba solo jaja
Pure glee and satisfaction when Walder Frey dies. Amazing. I don't think Steve has ever been so happy lol
Our favorite scenes, we always know word-for-word. Caught Lacey mouthing Arya’s lines to Walder Frey before she killed him.
loved steve's "THAT'S your favorite scene!?" reaction :D
No dislikes because the Freys and Bolton's are dead 👌😂😂
What a day -- we got a trifecta: Season 6, episode 10 here. Season 5, episode 10 on Simple Reactions. And Season 3, episode 9 on Cinema Blend. 3 of the best episodes to react to all on the same day.
True true
I'm like... is this my lucky day?
Always so joyful when all shouted "The King of the North"
This was my favourite episode of all 6 seasons. The opening scenes, the music, the plot line arcs beautifully merging to a climax, and the key scenes with the destruction of the sept, Arya getting her revenge on the Freys, tower of joy, King of the north, were just epic.
Did you notice the music at the end was both Danny's and Jon's them the merged into one? Literally, a song of ice and fire! So, so clever!!!
Jon is the song of ice and fire alone. That's why Reaghar (fire) wanted to marry Lyanna (ice).
THE KING IN THE NORTH!
I love how Steve gets emotional when realizing how much Ned actually did for Jon after the reveal
This whole episode melted Steve's brain lol.
@@CraigKostelecky pretty sure lancel was incinerated instantly
Lady mormont speech is probably my favorite
Can't wait for Lacey to show him all the hints from S1 on wards.
Thats the first time Tyrion ever knelt for anyone.
Also, the tower scene proves that bran being able to change the past is nonsense. Ned turns around whether bran yells to him or not. It’s called a closed time loop. It was always his destiny to warg into hodor, and it was always Hodors destiny to hold the door, regardless of details that might change. The same thing applies here too. Ned turns around and will always turn around, regardless of bran yelling to him or not. He can’t actually change anything
"Long may she reign!"
Daeny: Yeah, about that...
Promise me ned :( Definitely my favorite scene from my favorite, the transition from baby Jon to adult Jon always gives me the chills.
mmstriadx if gives me chills too and it turns on the tears. To finally see who Jon’s mother was and to know how much Ned loved them both to the point that he sacrificed his honor. All that Jon went through as the bastard of Ned ,especially the contempt of Cat. This scene always overwhelms me.
Let's not forget Rhaegar Targaryen had a wife that loved him and two children during this event.
@@CraigKostelecky My point is Rhaegar is not a good man.
@@CraigKostelecky Big part of my post. In line with some of the discussions that a few Starks are villains in this story.
@@CraigKostelecky I'm more team Oberyn Martell on this one.
And even named his third child after his first. I mean what an epic slap in the face.
Thank you, he was such an asshole. His wife almost dies to give him that second kid. And then he annuls that marriage and make those kids bastards. They're all dead in part because of him. He left them with the fricking mad king who didn't like them and was even racist towards Elia and Rhaenys. What a daddy for Jon
And the end of the episode, it's like a mix between the stark and the targaryen themes.
11:21 A Son(g) of Ice and Fire.
Just watched the red wedding at cinemablend so v happy to come see that Walder Frey moment
Same here 😂😂😂
Yeah, that was perfect
My favorite episode in the entire show, thus far. So many things happen, it's full throttle from start to finish. So glad he's going to be all caught up before the premier of season 8! Can't wait.
Jon being crowned king in the north, as cersei is named queen of 7k, AS DAENERYS IS MAKING HER WAY TO THE SHORES OF FUCKING WESTEROS. ICONIC !
i love her tears and how she always look at him to see his reactions. She's a real fan of GoT. ..Btw, best episode ever (not only of GoT)
I have this hope in the back of my mind that somehow Melisandre going to be burned alive, perhaps by dragon's fire. There are so many subtle ironies of justice in this season (such as Ramsay being fed to his own dogs). It would only be fitting that the woman that burns people alive would meet the same fate eventually. It is, after all, the "purest death" according to her.
I don't know if I personally would say Hope, but I definitely think that's an INTERESTING theory, and would Certainly be the kind of poetic justice / "rhyming" kinda parallel (or however GRRM explained it) that George would do :)
Definitely have to watch the R+L=J video! He's definitely figured it out, but I think he deserves the reward of having all the pieces out in front at once! :D lol right after I type it you mention it haha I hope he reacts to it though
Howland Reed knew ,,, as probably did Benjen .... when John says he want to join the nights watch with him and benjen replies " you don't know what you'd be giving up " makes it look like Ned confided in him
that still makes sense even if Benjen didn't know. Jaime also tried to warn him about the cost of swearing vows for life...
Thus ends the best season of Game of Thrones.
Sadly yes
Steve's like a kid in a candy store with Arya taking out Walder. I'm sad that I miss your live streams, but I'm also kind of happy because it's almost a spoiler for me to know how Steve feels afterwards. Lol not really, but that's what I come here for lol
"promise me ned!....Promise me"....
The prince who was promised. Half Targaryan, half Stark, the song of ice and fire.
There's a possibility (in the books) that benjen stark also knew about Jon either that or the fact that lyanna wasn't actually kidnapped (he knew about the whole knight of the laughing tree thing) and that's why he joined the nights watch
I think Benjen knew about Jon as well. Way back in the first or second episode Jon says he doesn't care that he is giving up having a family by joining the Night's Watch. Benjen responds, "You might, if you knew what it meant."
Right. Benjen knew his siblings, and even if Ned didn't tell him, he would have seen Lyanna in Jon.
Haha brilliant reaction throughout ..such an amazing end to season 6
1:20 Davos always makes me cry with that line
Varys and his handy teleporting device this episode lol
"I Serve no King, but the King in the North, whose name is Stark. I don't care if he's a bastard, Ned Stark's blood runs through his veins." - Iconic Lil Lyanna Mormont
Jon over there crying like that's my child. Much Love Lil Mormont. LOL
Of all the reactions I've seen Steve's grin when he realized Arya was about to off the Late Lord Frey is hands down the best.
The funny thing is, if not for that whole Red Wedding thing, Walder Frey would probably the the most quoted character in Game of Thones.
You repeating Arya's words while killing Walder Frey is a mooood Lacey lol
Loved this episode the most. Great reaction, I really love watching you guys, love from the UK. 👋🏼
You have very interesting and informative reactions, thank you, I was looking for such videos. ^^
that is the jon snow-iest looking baby they could have gotten.
I've seen Snowier
LOL this made me laugh so hard
I LOVE your guys’ videos and reactions!!
Apparently, when Ned was beheaded, he whispered, “I kept my promise...”, about his promise to his sister about protecting her son...heartbreaking...😔
It's interesting because if Shireen never died, Stannis' men would never have left, & then Melisandre would never have run off, & Jon would still be dead.
I initially didn’t catch that the servant girl that was making eyes at Jamie and/or Bronn was the same girl whose face Arya used before she killed Walder Frey.
I don’t think Arya had taken her place yet. I don’t think she would have done anything like that to draw attention to herself if she was posing as someone else in a room full of Frey and Lannister soldiers. Given, this is just my opinion, and there’s nothing for certain, but note that Arya had Walder Frey on his own before she did anything to get his attention.
When she looked at Jaime and Bronn, and gave Jaime the stink-eye, unlike all the other girls who were fawning over him, when watching it the first time, my thought was "Holy $#it!, that's Arya!"
I had to pull up the clip on another UA-cam video. And I think you’re right. Arya may well have been in disguise at that point. She gave Jamie a lingering look, not a flirtatious one, as she was pouring drinks for him and Bronn. She knew what Jamie looked like, as she had seen him before, both at Winterfell and when she was living in Kings Landing before Yoren took her away. She had moved on to pouring drinks at another table when she gave another look towards Jamie as Bronn was making the crack about how Jamie doesn’t even have to try to get ladies’ attention. She gave no sign of recognition towards Bronn because she had no clue who he was. Bronn mistook the look of recognition as a “bird coming around pecking.” Arya was after Walder Frey. She had no idea she’d come across Jamie Lannister.
I had thought that the servant girl had given a flirtatious smile, but on a rewatch, no. No outward expression.
@@lmj2k I wonder if she had any goid reasin to kill that girl too. I thought she wasn't supposed to kill random people
Ned would be so proud.
I imagine Tommen was indeed not cold, since Cersei instructed to burn his body ;-)
Howland Reed, the other person at the tower with Eddard Stark, is also the father of Meera Reed, his only daughter, who is at this point travelling with Brandon Stark.
Many of the hints about Jon Snow's parentage are easily missed, as they aren't front and center, but more alluded to or asked but not answered. Once you know the end of that mystery, it is easier to see the hints upon rewatching.
Lyanna Mormont, though young and of a small house, knows how to make the other Lords regret their past disloyalty, as she "speaks harshly but true". Obtaining her support before the Battle of the Bastards, paid off with far more than her house's 62 fighting men.
Steve: "Wow, her son ain't even..."
Lacey: "cold."
Me: "Actually, he probably has already been cold, he probably splattered pretty well, which does mean heat will dissipate fairly quickly, and then he was reheated, as she ordered Qyburn to burn him and bury the ashes where the Sept used to stand."
Yesssss its finally here!!! Great reaction too one of my favourite epsiodes..Steve ur reaction at 6:55 was amazing hahahahaha,, take care you two see yah on the next upload 😁
So much stuff packed into this episode! Cersei blowing up half the city, Arya's revenge, that blockbuster scene between Davos and the Red Woman, Tommen's suicide, the reveal of Jon Snow's origin, Dany finally setting out for Westeros... No wonder you needed a little break to process it all. But you're so close now to being all caught up! I'm so excited for what comes next!
Was kinda fun watching Steve's mind being blown apart🥰
Something that I love is that both in the show (S1 Ep2) and in first book (AGOT), Robert is trying to remember the name of the woman Ned said was Jon's mother...and one of the names he guesses is "Aleena" - Ah-lee-na". Love it. Also, the woman who Ned names, Wyla, was apparently the wet nurse at the Tower of Joy...so likely she knew as well to help go along with the story (and since she was there with them when it was all going on). ;) I think this is one of my Fav episodes...SO much stuff happens, you almost forget that Cersei blew up the Sept in this same episode!!!
I kind of get the impression that Uncle Benjen knows, or at least suspects that Jon is a Targaryen because of his facial expression when he was talking to Bran the last time they saw each other.
Arya’s the Man baby.....lol. This episode has left me speechless, every time! From beginning to end! Yo, your reaction to the Jon Snow reveal was priceless! I envy that every time I see these reactions! I was cracking up at every reaction. 😂👏🏾👍🏾👌🏾🤣Loved it!
Dodging spoilers like a queen ;-)
OMG I NEED A DRINK! 🤣🤣🤣
Super reaction guys!
It goes by so fast! Already going S7! But hey we get breaking bad after GoT 😍
Your best reaction yet, Steve!
What a moment when you think the last time they saw each other, Ned told to Jon : "Next time, i will tell you about your mother". It was his sister.
Dany is Johns aunt
Good ol Uncle Ned.
I'm not sure you could say that Lyanna had an affair. She wasn't married yet and...well...you've seen the way Robert was. Lyanna knew what kind of man he was, too. He was her brother's best friend after all.
Aw, I was hoping Steve would be a bit more excited about seeing Dany's fleet finally sailing.
Revenge for the Red Wedding Part One! One of the top 3 season finales of the show! The director has returned for two episodes of Season 8. CAN'T WAIT!
Silly question...so, when do they decide to stop chanting KING IN THE NORTH over and over? Does it just kinda fade and then get super awkward?
And now Steve knows why Ned is the hero of this story! I wonder though if he now realizes why Ned had Jon go to the Wall, and why Ned could promise to tell Jon about it the next time they meet? He protected him, as he "promised" Liana until Jon took the vows of the Night's Watch. There so many consequences of that promise that play out throughout the story. Now would be a good time to watch the R+L=J video if you haven't yet that explains a lot of it.
Ned IS the hero of this story! He was only in 9 episodes and yet..........
Ned is the Hero of the show because that's how it's written and people are sheep. Any learn-ed man would tell you HotPie is the real hero. Stay tuned.
Rhaeger was like 21 and married with kids and lyanna was 14
He is Ned Son,
not biological but even.
Long may she reign!!!🥰😍😍
Loved it!
Love the sand snakes getting bitched slapped by QOT.
Arya’s second KILLGASM!
Her murders are all so satisfying
Notice the Stark and Targaryen music mixed together and playing at the end of the show guys . . . I wonder why that is lol
funny, i wonder how long steve needs to realize what it means to be raegars son in matters of claims for certain administrative chairs.
One of the greatest reveals ever on TV reduce to meaning nothing thanks to D&D in season 8.
All the main characters just levelled up for the final fight. Only one character needs levelling up and that is our fav character the Night King and man does he level up like he’ll fire lol
I loved this reaction so much oof
Epic Episode in so many ways.
omg you are the best!
Steve, during the first long scene that took place in King's Landing you let out with so many OMG's I can't count that high. And then when Arya took care of Walter Frey and Jon's parentage was exposed you gave out 2 profound "Oh Shit"'s. Since I've said it before that you are real good to pick up on things, when you are caught off guard it makes your reactions so much more enjoyable. 1 season, just 7 episodes, to go and 13 days. You will get it done.
One of the most subdued reactions I've ever seen to this episode...not a put down folks, just different!
the scene with davos just slammed me right in the feels. so did tyrion being named hand of the queen. as for the rest i suppose thats one way of cutting down the budget for the next season by wiping out a third of the cast...lol!
amazing
See you next season :)
Now you should react to R+L=J: Who is Jon's Mother - ALL SHOW SCENES COMPILATION - GAME OF THRONES
She literally just said they were gonna react to it.
All hail queen Cersi!!!
Aria was the girl Bronn was jelous when she looked at Jamie ;)
I think Ned keeping this secret from Cat was unnecessary. She loved Ned and she would have kept that secret to her grave and she would not have had this hatred towards the damn bastard.
yeah probably but neds honour was to big to do that
LOVE Davos
1. Davos' scene ALWAYS makes me cry too Lacey :(
2. I was so excited to see Steve's reaction to Arya's reveal. The whole time I was looking at Steve and seeing the joy in his eyes to see Arya avenge her mother and brother, I almost missed Lacey mouthing the words Arya was saying to Walder Frey lol.
3. "No shit!" That's right Steve. Jon is a Stargaryan! I'm so happy you got that. Some people were confused. Go look at Nikki's (Nikki & Steven react) reaction lol. Good for you Steve. Isn't it bananas? That would mean that Jon and Dany are related!!! "A Targaryan alone in the world is a terrible thing." Jon ain't lonely anymore. He's got another family! Yay!
4. Dany's finally got her fleet, her dragons AND she's sailing the Dothraki across the sea! Yippy!! She's also got Lady Olenna, Ellaria, Theon and Yara teaming up with her. Ooh, Cersei better watch out! Season 7 is coming! :D
- Yvette
Arya Stark is on some Dexter vibez.
I always hated that Cersei showed absolutely no remorse for Tommen.
She knew Tommen was going to die.
Perfect shirt for the Cersei and Arya scenes.
King in the North!
There a prequel or spin-off coming out can't wait for that to come also there another show I enjoy watching it called Spartacus there 3 seasons of it
Still the best episode of the show. :)
I wish I could of gotten this question to y'all sooner. Do y'all think it was necessary for Ned to keep the secret of Jon's true parentage from his own wife? Especially after Ned see's that Catelyn is less than enthusiastic about Jon's presence. Could he not trust his own wife to keep that secret?
It's not about trust. Ned probably promised Lyanna that he wasn't going to tell anyone and he kept that promise. Sure, it was hard for Catelyn to think that Ned was with another woman and to accept his bastard son in Winterfell, but it was probably a lot harder for Ned because how important honor was for him. The fact that Catelyn hated Jon Snow helped to protect him, because no one ever doubt that Jon was Ned's bastard son.
@@Shaesi. exactly, Catelyn had the exact reaction people expected her to have when it comes to your husband bringing his bartard to raise him among his trueborn sons, so no one would ever doubt it, even when it didn't match his reputation. That was another layer of protection
