"Only a fool would meet the dothraki in an open field"
cath roby you’ve committed one of the classic blunders, never get involved in a land war in Westeros 😏
😂 😂 😂
@@shadowfire_08
or the more famous
"Why the f are you fighting against dragons!?"
Remember what King Robert said all the way back in season 1: "Only a fool would meet the Dothraki in an open field".
"I won't hurt you. Don't worry."
Steve's face 🤣
Jon: I came back from the dead!
Bran: I can see everything!
Arya: I'm a shapeshifting Ninja assassin!
Sansa: WTF, guys???
Season 7 in a nutshell.
Sansa: I'm a political statecraft wizard.
And her ending she owes to Robb. He liberated the North and took up the mantle of King. Jon, she threw under the bus and put his life in danger twice to try and advance herself. Theon saved her and executed the escape from Winterfell. She never became a hero of her own story. She's like diet light Cersei, with the mouth and entitled attitude, even after all she's been through. The other remaining Starks sought out their destiny, or tried to achieve something that raised honor to their family name. I still think she's the weakest link in the family chain. But, either way, she got what she wanted in the end anyway.
Arya and Brienne dueling is one of my favorite parts of Season 7. Pod’s bemused expression is priceless. Also, I still find Davos’s small crush on Missandei to be adorable and hilarious.
Davos is a dirty ole dude...Missandei has got to be decades younger than he is...But still love him.
To be fair, Davos wasn’t being a complete creep about it. See for contrast: Littlefinger’s behavior towards Sansa.
@@lmj2k Yeah, there's a definite difference for sure. Davos respects Missy but Littlefinger sees Sansa as a means to an end. Both dirty ole dudes but Davos is more attractive and a kind man to his core. I like how he lightly flirts but wouldn't go so far as Littlefinger has done....kissed her several times (which is a no-no for a high born lady and strings her along to make her think he will marry her), and has played psych games on her as well as selling her to the highest bidder.
This episode also broke a record by setting the most people on fire in one scene - 20 stunt guys.
Steve is an absolute treasure to watch. His reactions are so pure. So fun! And Lacey, you are a superb support system.
Glad to be back on schedule with your uploads! Less than a week till season 8! Here we go guys!!!
Hi Ava!
Sophie R Sophie this is Steve and we are DONE with season 7! 5,6,and 7 to go up Wednesday Thursday, and Friday then follow up with a livestream on Saturday at 6pm!! Excited!!!!!
@@DuoReacts I will be sure to try to make that livestream!!
Preview of Steve's face for the Night King throwing spears.
Oh no lmfao, brutal.
9:48 Preview after spear throwing
The loot train sequence is the most spectacular thing ever seen on television.
A small thing I've realized from rewatching, and which I really like, is that Jon heeds Tyrion's suggestion (in the previous episode) of asking others about Dany and their support of her.
The immediate "I wanna watch that again," RIGHT? That was me, too.
I think the hesitation that Bran had when giving the dagger to Arya could be for a couple of possible reasons. First reason, Bran had always wanted to be a knight his whole life. Owning a Valerian steel dagger is something he could of only dreamed of when he was growing up. And here he is giving it up to his younger sister. Now that is the more positive reason for his reaction. The second possible reason and a much darker one would be that Bran knows his sister will need the dagger to do something pivotal, like killing a white walker or maybe even the Nights King. But he also knows that it will mean his sister will lose her life in the act. We'll be finding that out here soon. :)
That very ending always gets me - especially when watching reactors... No one breathes and gets a "what thaaaaa?" fade to black....😁😜😆.... Oh, and Kitt Harrington aka Jon Snow, was on Saturday Night Live, and he was Hyssss- terrrr- iiicallll.... And, THANK YOU, Steven for the Dany back up of the dragon use....
Poor Jaime looked so stricken seeing his men get toasted by fire, the reason he killed the “mad king” was to prevent him from torching all the citizens of Kings Landing. I think he charged at Dany to 1. End the war 2. Prove to himself that he is the knight he thought he was, even though he would most certainly die by dragon fire. Jaime is under all the layers and his misguided feelings for Cersei a noble person. If he could only hold on to that part of himself.
Excellent reaction to an excellent episode! Watching Jamie charge the dragon, I couldn’t help but wonder if Geoffrey’s taunt from a few seasons ago was echoing in Jamie’s head (from when he was reading over the history of the knights of Westeros): “Where are all your great deeds, uncle?”
I always think of Robert talking about the first kill he made some farm boy who ran at him trying to end the rebellion before it even started. I don't think Jamie is trying to slay a dragon... he's trying to kill Dany if he kills Dany he ends her cause and saves the Lannister's and the county, it's worth his life to end the war.
I think the only thing in his head was his men turned to adhes in front of him, and flashbacks to the Mad King screaming "burn them all".
Oh, come on, question askers. Stop trying to push Steve into being a Dany hater like you. I've been enjoying him being even-handed about her since so many other reactors aren't. Leave him be already.
“You think Sansa is shitting about now” 🤣🤣 Gods, I love Steve
Just finished Season 7 and this is Steve! To all you “Thronesters” out there let’s get pumped up for Season 8! Saturday at 6pm cst, we will have a LIVESTREAM so we can curb some excitement for episode 1 of season 8!!!!!
Hey!!! Steve's finally in the comments ❣️
Can you ever remember watching a battle like that when you were rooting so much for characters from both sides? I found it totally draining!
I feel there is something really special about that dagger. It's not just valerian steel, it may have other properties. It's certainly more decorative than the swords. Perhaps it has other magical properties that will be very important. For example, what if it was specifically made by the children to kill the Night king, and maybe the swords do not possess that power!
I agree about the dagger. There's something special about it that goes beyond it being just valerian steel.
Draining is SUCH a Perfect word! That's Exactly how I felt. I felt DRAINED by the end of this ep when I first watched it 2 years ago =/
Nice!
We need 3 parts reaction for 6th and 7th EP!
Damn, that fight between Arya and Brienne really is my favorite in scene this episode!!
SAME. It's one of my top favorite scenes of the entire series :)
I have to say that I loved, lost and started loving Arya serveral times in these series. But my favorite scenes with her (that you didn't mention) is her verbal "sparing" scenes with Tywin Lannister. That little girl being able to spar convincingly with Tywin and Maisie Williams being able to credibly match Charles Dances power-acting was mindblowing to me.
That isn't a lake. They are in an area of plateaus and ravines. Ravines do have very sharp drop offs.
Putting the amazing story and acting aside, can we take a moment to applaud all the stunt people in this show. This battle alone had many groups on fire, jumping off horses, and close combat. Stuff like that is so much eye candy its phenomenal.
Clicked faster than the winds of Winter lol
Age Of The Witch This is Steve and I wanted to Thank You from the bottom of my heart for your support love and exciting gifts. We finished season 7 tonight and episodes will go up Wednesday Thursday and Friday then a live stream on Saturday!!!! Hugs from our family to you!
When the Dothraki are approaching the Lannister line one soldier throws a spear. That soldier is played by Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard AKA Thor.
Thought Steve might like that, being a Cubby fan and all.
Go Tigers!!!!!!
STEVE...I think you needed your "Chill" Hoodie for the battle !
6:03 the smartest horses in westeros!?
Had a pretty rough Monday only to come home to these two reactions uploaded, Steve's reactions especially towards the end of the Battle salvaged the rest of my Monday! Lol
Great stuff, much appreciated and can't wait for the next uploads.
Ball Don't Lie this is Steve and season 7 is in the books. Lacey will have episodes on Wednesday Thursday and Friday going up followed by a livestream Saturday for all
Of us !!! 6pm cst
Dany needs to work on her dragon flying skills. Nose-diving toward an arrow firing scorpion is not the smartest tactic. Usually during battle, someone needs to be directing the troops, and that person should have focused as many dothraki as possible on taking control of the scorpion ASAP, because that weapon is an absolute game changer as long as it stays in the enemy's hands. With the drastic advantage in ground forces on Dany's side, she could have (and should have) eliminated that scorpion immediately. Attacking with the dragon should have been secondary to taking possession of the grain as well. They may have lost more forces, but they would have been able to feed the rest of their army during the winter.
"I dont remember what i even SAID" lol that's why we watch your channel steve! You get so wrapped-up that your reactions are hilarious!
Littlefinger: "Bran reads minds and Arya's a ninja... I'm F'ed!" ;)
What I like about this is that Bronn doesn't stop to celebrate when the bolt hits Drogon the first time. Bronn immediately tries to bring Drogon down for good. That's what good fighters do. (Oberyn stopped to taunt, and he died because of it.)
Steve's whole body looked like one giant white knuckle during that final battle! 😂 Great reactions as always! So excited for the remaining few episodes!
No need for words Steve, your face tells us all we need to know! Even Lacey agrees 09:46 that close up was phenomenal 😂
Every time I watch this I sweat. Beautiful cinematography.
It's such a perfect St. George and The Dragon moment, that charge of Jamie's. White horse and all!
For me Littlefinger" sees some kind of "tool" in every person and he sees a very useful and deadly tool in the new Arya.
That´s the way how his mind works...
I think this was the Greatest Episode in the History of TV. Arya comes home. Arya vs Brienne. Loot Train Battle was AMAZING!! Dothraki, Dragons!! To imagine that this is just a TV show. This episode was like a movie!! #Awesome Arya and Brienne, BFFs
1. Bronn should dead
2. Jamie filled up his chapter in the Knights book. Single handedly Charging a full grown dragon. What a real knight does.
Omg steves face the whole time lol. Priceless
When Bran gave Arya the dagger, I thought it looked like he was reluctant to give it to her. Maybe because he knew how much damage she could do with it. Like giving someone a weapon of mass destruction.
The significance of that ethics-question about using the dragons would change significantly if one imagined a poor, powerless and innocent child in Kings Landing fleeing the dragons destruction in stead of Bronn. Which clearly would have been the case if Danaerys followed her own (and Lady Oleanas) intuition an not Jons and Tyrions. We have already seen the dragon burn an innocent child so they obviously don't disciminate btw. innocent children and soldiers. Only Danaerys control over them and use of them defines that distinction. There are modern parallells (read signature strikes with drones, landmines and nuclear weapons) that kill indiscriminately like the dragons. To me these series actualizes the asking of questions of comparable things in our own reality. GoT is for sure fantasy but it is not "only" fantasy.
Edit: The soldiers being "just soldiers", even the Lannister ones is probably the whole point with the whole Ed Sheeran scene in Episode 1.
heh
"We should have stayed in that cave."
Now Daenerys and Jon sharing pictures in a cave.
Jon Snow the caveman.
The question about Bran....I think he just had 2,000 years of memory shoved into his brain too quickly. Who he is has been hollowed out. He wasn't being cold on purpose. There is just a shadow of his former self left to him. He did say that he remembers what it was like to be Brandon, but he remembers everything now. It's pretty sad.
The most awesome episode of S07. I didn't breathe that whole battle. Also there's the epic King George Alexander reaction couch jumping here @ YT.
The Lannister soldiers are not paid! This is a feudal system; there are no standing armies and in Westeros are only a few sellswords; well over 90% of these Westerosi armies are farmboys, fishermen and craftsmen who follow their Lord when he calls to his banners (this was already established in s02 when Talisa amputates the boy‘s foot)
The rest is filled with men-at-arms, knights, lords and personal guards
They only look „professional“ because they made every soldier look identical/in uniform, plus the Lannister’s have actual the resources and money to better equip their men.
Normally they would mostly be equipped with a stick/spear and shield, no armor
Peter Baelish thought he could control Bran the same way he was controlling Robin Arryn. It was why he tried to use Catspaw on Bran.
Daenerys with her brilliant strategy burns all the wagons with all the food in them. Good thing she has dragons or she would have died three seasons ago with those moves.
Please tell Steve that's one of my favorite episodes and scenes. It was indeed EPIC!
Great reaction videos on one of the best episodes in the entire series. In terms of all the "soul-searching" type questions about Dany and her use of dragons in this episode, let's keep in mind that last episode Lady Olenna pointed out to Jamie that even though she herself had done some despicable things, she never even imagined doing the things Cersei has done (such as using wildfire to destroy the Sept and killing hundreds if not thousands), to which Jamie responded that who will care what she did once she has created her new world order. Showing, at that time at least, he was perfectly fine with what she did even though it cost him Tommen's life and innocent civilian lives in the areas surrounding the Sept of Balor. So stay strong Steve. What Dany did this episode was the perfect compromise alternative to simply taking her dragons and burning down King's Landing. There is only one Mad Queen in this series and it isn't Dany, despite some wanting to make her out as one as well. Peace.
1:46 Sansa is doing a happy dance in her head. She knows Littlefinger is watching her so she had to stay calm on the outside. The Starks have a killer and the internet on their side.
Ava distracted the hell out of me haha 😂💕
If The Waif was The Terminator 2 Cop, Bran is Dr. Manhattan from Watchmen.
A Question for Steve S7 E5 - In the Dragonstone meeting room, Jon makes an passionate speech that he must be the one to go North of the wall. We see some subtle acting from Daenerys where it looks as though she fears for him/doesn't want him to leave. Do you think she simply fears losing an ally, or is there something deeper in her emotions here. PS This is my first time commenting, but i've been here from the start of your journey, love the reactions as always
Rip Honor, Jaime’s horse.
This is the episode where any sane person should’ve realised the sheer awfulness of using dragons in war, and the fact they’re weapons of mass destruction. She’s not burning ‘evil’ slavers here but ordinary soldiers who are just doing their job
Steve your reaction was priceless I waited for you to watch this episode , great job did you notice that Drogon were real big.
It‘s the Blackwater river, and even when it‘s near the land, he still should drown considering the weight of the armor. Don‘t even wanna talk about the fact they leaving the river on the other side the next episode 🙈that was clearly thought through from the different screen writers/directors 👍🏻
Terminator Dothraki is my favorite... "Have you seen Bronn Conner?!"
RE Bronn getting his castle: Tyrion keeps offering Bronn "double" the pay if Bronn comes back to serve Tyrion. There's a fan theory/story that Tyrion will eventually award Bronn The Twins, former house of the Freys. After all, it's TWO castles, with no men and a lot of single women.
I've been waiting for this for so long.
This is actually how Jaime ever was when he sees their is no chance of winning, and I admire him for this -> fighting against all odds, risking your own life to get the chance to kill the enemy leader. He did the same fighting Robb Stark in the Whispering Woods: when he saw his men and himself outnumbered, he charged the personal bodyguard unit of Robb yelling for him and killing everyone between them until they overpowered him.
Jon, when leaving to face Mance Rayder to decapitate the Wildling Army did the same too... two especially great leaders
The train rack scene are great but I still love Battle of the Bastard. Btw I could see Steve tears coming out when Arya and Sansa reunited and that's a true reaction
There is a lovely video about the "Battle for the Loot Train", showing how they did all the effects and how they were done. It's well worth a look.
My anxiety goes sky high every time, no matter how many times I watch this battle 😨
In reality horses will not charge a spear/bayonet wall like that.
Wonderful work! Remember way back when Arya was cup bearer to Tywinn and she listened in to his conversation with Little Finger? She knows his tactics her stare at him wasn't for nothing. Question: Was she playing him from that point and was Sansa a part of it? (Maybe save for Ep. 7) Syrio Forrell taught her well or was he also "No One"? The end is close (6 days). TC
That dagger showed up in the book Sam found the reference to the dragon glass. It’s has a lengend.
I thought Steve was going to hyperventilate at the end there. If he only knew what's coming...
Great reaction this was a great episode one of my favorite can't wait for y'all guys to be done and will be on season 8
Great episode, and it's the shortest GOT episode across them all, with a runtime of just 50mins! I remember it got released early by accident on HBO in 2 countries, so it made it online, of course...and being an awful person who watches stuff like that, I found it and watched it and just LOST IT! I texted my dad, who watches the show and told him it was unreal. He NEVER watches shows outside of TV or a legit online source, but he just couldn't wait and asked for the link, lol. Oy. I'd like to note that i DO have an HBO subscription via Amazon, so I DO watch the show legally - and I also watched it again when it aired that week, lol...and many more times since then.
@@CraigKostelecky So true about the spoilers! I also watch TWD (which, doesn't really compare to GOT, and I'm not NEARLY as big of a fan of TWD, but I've watched since the beginning and it's gotten better this season). It airs sunday nights, and I'm usually not able to watch it bc I don't have cable (have to wait til online the next day) and people post SO much stuff EVERYWHERE the second the show ends that I can't even go online til I find time to watch the episode or stuff gets spoiled. I was very aware that could have happened with GOT too. Honestly, I'm hoping that no one who saw the episode Thurs spoils anything...I love seeing the trailers and any/all HBO promos for it, but I want NO spoilers. (Though, I do admit to watching the small snippet video that Carice Van Houten posted of the title sequence, but that's not really a spoiler kind of thing. ;)
Immediately clicked 😂.
Speaking of names that are too similar: In the books Yara is Asha... Dan & Dave thought that would sound too similar to Osha (the Wildling) and changed it.
and that's the story of how King Slayer Lake got it's name
"Who do you root for?" Bron. Always Bron.
Steve.. yer where did she go?.... Lacey .. shrugs her shoulders while waiting for steves reaction 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 priceless, first time watchers oh and me no bronn don't kill drogon, no drogon don't kill bronn
Still love Lacey's poker face. Steve was very perceptive about the dagger. Steve is all softy, tearing up at the Sansa and Arya reunion. Ava is a mini-Lacey :) ... #LaceyIsSoAdorable
I love Steve's responses to the questions about 'the Lannister perspective' of Daenerys and her dragons and 'methods'. Obviously we can understand that Westerosi armies are not just made up of people devoted to their King/Queen and they don't deserve being killed, but it feels like people want to call Daenerys out for taking an active role in a war and make her out to be worse than other characters who do so. It's not as if she's the first person to use fire as a weapon: Jon himself ordered fire and hot oil used against the Wildlings, whom we know were ultimately trying to escape the army of the dead. We saw men get set on fire then. And I can't go 'oh poor Jaime he's having Mad King flashbacks' when Jaime is fighting for a Queen who happily blew up her city and killed innocents with wildfire.
i wouldn't like to be a lannister soldier hahahah image you seeing a dragon would be like watching death coming
Waiting for it since last 5 minutes
All the questions were great we have the best family our Fold of winter
And yes Steve she needs a harness and so does Drogon
Did you miss my question or did I ? Lol
I must of missed it :(
@@DuoReacts No worries i think the other questions covered it well love you sis hope you are feeling better.
Maybe Tyrion will draw up some plans like he did with Bran for riding horses.
@@3rdRailRenegade there should have been already 😅 but yeh
Best reaction I've seen
The Arya and Brienne dueling scene are the best in the whole series,,,, I think the Arya story is the best and most interesting!!
Do you think Littlefinger was intrigued cause he recognized the Braavosi water dancing style?
My thoughts on asking Jon, Tyrion likes the game, he save's Jorah, yet gets him banished a second time, he then sets battle plans and Sandsnakes and Gray Joys removed from the alliance and now she refutes Tyrion and listens to Jon.
Tyrion now see's like Jaime his house can be made extinct, I don't think he wants that.
Sansa: My brother is a weirdo , my sister a killer, Our other brother came back from the dead; what do I do ? a quill pusher. : (
Yeah I think Sansa picked up on something when Arya mentioned vows; LF could use them against Brienne and the girls, a conflict for her, she vowed to protect both girls but she's sworn sword to only 1.
I was sure bron would die here. Usually when a mercenary drop his money and don't pick it up, it's an ironic moment.
It's ok Steve, I don't think the R+L=J reveal was meant to be predictable in any way. The show runners wanted us as viewers to be shocked when we realized Jon was the son of Lyanna and Rhaegar. There may have been some subtle clues along the way, but not nearly enough to hint towards Jon's true parentage. The theory was only really conceived by the most devoted fans who read the books.
That weapon is a Ballista.
Well Dany using the dragons in war is one thing not at all like the mad king burning innocent civilians.
Ready to roast these chickens 🔥🔥
SPOILER ALERT:

I think Littlefinger's smile was his recognition of a fellow Faceless Man. I guess we'll find out.

Among other things, this episode showed that Tyrion can't be trusted as Daenerys' hand. He is too emotional due to fighting against his family. He showed no concern when seeing Bron trying to kill Daenerys neither when Drogon was hit. Tyrion should have sent a few of those Dothrakis that were with him to take out Bron before he was able to fire the 2nd shot at Daenerys.
Wish Olenna was alive to see Daenerys' first victory.
clever plans 0/2
being a dragon 1/1
@@CraigKostelecky I rewatched the battle. After the first shot at Drogon Tyrion looks down to see where it comes from and I presume he saw that giant crossbow with Bron on it since he was able to see Jaime on a horse. Tyrion does look a little concerned there, but he must have not been concerned enough to send someone to kill Bron. After Drogon gets hit Tyrion looks a little concerned as well, but as Daenerys and Drogon struggle fly he still didn't send someone to kill Bron. If Drogon didn't stabilize in time to attack Bron, Bron could've killed Drogon and Daenerys. So I agree that Tyrion showed concern for Daenerys, but it was little.
@@CraigKostelecky That would make sense but he had a bunch of Dothraki with him and his people were too busy fighting the Dothraki on the battlefield. Also, although we don't see any horses with the Dothraki next to Tyrion I think we would can assume their horses were near by and could have ridden down to kill Bron or at least try to. A lot of time passed since the first arrow shot at Drogon to when Drogon was hit.
My gosh Steve, I can't tell if you enjoyed this episode or not. haha
I don´t wanna ruin everyone's fun but if you think about it this battle has no consequences whatsoever. Drogon could at least have burned of bronn´s face.
