100% agree that Benjen knew. Benjen probably knew FIRST. Ned shows up with infant Jon, Benjen figures out who Jon is immediately. Goes on to the wall to assuage his guilt, ready a path for Jon one day. Benjen knowing this EXPLOSIVE secret about Jon makes him safer at the wall as well.

So now you know Aegon Targaryen, named after Aegon the conqueror. And the full legacy of Ned Stark is revealed. All along he was protecting the true heir to the iron throne. But he knew how dangerous that was, not just for Jon, but for the whole of house Stark.
And the scene between Sansa and Arya is also part of Ned's legacy. He taught them to be loyal to the pack. And it was that loyalty, despite their differences, that littlefinger underestimated.

Cersei, like little Finger" always imagines the worst possible reason why people say what they say and do what they do, then makes her plans accordingly. This is a recipe for ultimate failure.

Actually, pretty sure Edmure is now Lord of Riverrun. Remember, he was used as a pawn to get the Tullys (much to the Blackfish’s disagreement) to lower the drawbridge and lay down their arms.
The "Littlefinger's behind the 'Lyanna Stark was kidnapped' story" theory does make sense. He had to know it would piss off Brandon Stark, her betrothed with a short temper, causing him to act rashly, creating chaos, and as we all know, "Chaos is a ladder". ;)
Nobody ever gives Theon's character and the scene in this episode the rightful discussion it deserves. At least you two did. You should address it more in your livestream. It's the most emotionally delivered acting of the entire episode. His arc, from a writing standpoint, is the best on the show...or maybe on the level with Jaime and The Hound.
BTW regarding the "Golden Company"...they are known as a mercenary group/army that never broke any of their contracts, however in the books they broke their contract for the first time to join the so-called "fake Aegon", a character that didn't make it in the series, however I think this will translate into the show as well in a way that they will actually break their contract with Cersei and join Jon/Dany. In fact in the books they originally plan to join Dany but then they join "Faegon" because they were frustrated by the fact she decided to stay in Meeren for the time being.
Few interesting facts about them: the Golden Company was in fact founded by Aegor Rivers, bastard son of King Aegon IV and they supported House Blackfyre (junior branch of the Targaryens) and fought for them during the Taragaryen civil wars (Blackfyre Rebellions) to support their claim on the Iron Throne. After the "Mad King" was killed by Jaime Lannister and Targaryens were dethroned by Robert Baratheon and Ned Stark (with the help of Tywin Lannister), many of the supporters fled to Essos and joined the Golden Company. For example Jorah Mormont was also in the Golden Company before he went to join Dany.
Cersei is in for a big surprise... ;)

It could also be Robert Barratheon he loved her so much it would be hard to "Accept" her leaving willingly.
I think that Robert Baratheon started & propagated the rumour about Lyanna being kidnapped. It would have been too much for him to admit that Lyanna didn't love him back. It also justified his starting the war & killing Rhaegar.

Yes, fire kills wights...but as the dead polar bear showed us, a wight's susceptibility to fire greatly seems to depend on how large and powerful the wight is in the first place. Fire kills human wights quickly but larger creatures may take quite a bit more fire before they go down. And I'd wager given a dragon's natural resistance to fire already that when it's a wight dragon it'd last longer against a pyro onslaught than just about any other creature that could be raised from the dead.
NPC 000075A6 my biggest concern is to get to the DK we will have to kill this dragon! I do feel we will have the remaining dire wolves battle and save the Starks in some way. Maybe a battle between dire wolves and the giants... Steve

I have a prediction that wildfire may be what is used to kill the wights and the white walkers. Every vision Bran has once he leaves the children, we have seen at some point in the show, except for the dragon flying over kings landing & the mad king screaming burn them all. I have a strong feeling that the mad king scene is going to be crucial in how this all plays out

I agree with Steve in regards to The Hound and The MOuntain, I think when he said "You know WHO's coming for you, you've always known", means he.. The Hound.. is coming for him, to pay him back for what he did to him as a child.
Also, think about the bwow-chica-wow-wow moment. He was not only sleeping with his Aunt, normal under Targaryen house, but he was sleeping with someone who was currently sitting on his throne.

27:20 - Cersei is betting that the Northerners and Dany's forces will be able to stop the Army of the Dead, but just barely...and then her forces will be able to beat them without much trouble. It's a slim chance, to be sure but she's bet the lives of everyone in the south on that.

Littlefinger was just a boy when Rhaegar ran off with Lyanna, but I think you might be right. There's a very good chance that Lyanna, Littlefinger and Brandon were at the same place within a short amount of time. It was right after the tourney at Harrenhall, which took place during the false spring. It's also around the time that Littlefinger challenged Brandon, leading to Hoster Tully sending him back home to the Fingers. Of course, with the false spring ending winter came creeping back, making the journey back into the Vale impossible. So, he stayed at the Inn of the Crossing.
There's a 50% chance Lyanna also stayed at the Inn of the Crossing, awaiting Rhaegar. Now, obviously Littlefinger would have taken note of the crown prince arriving and later leaving with Lyanna. Later, Brandon arrived. At the time he was on his way to Riverrun to marry Cat. He must have seen Littlefinger and flown into a rage. Brandon was known for his temper, and I imagine he must have grabbed Littlefinger the same way that Ned and Jon did. That's when I imagine that Littlefinger told him about Rhaegar and Lyanna, and the lie that Rhaegar kidnapped Lyanna was born.

I think it def was Littlefinger. If I remember correctly in the books Petyr was possibly one the last ones who saw Rhaegar and Lyanna ride off. Littlefinger hated Brandon Stark and knew he had a short temper, and in the end he ended up dying with his father because he demanded justice for his sister.
I don’t think she ordered him to do anything...she simply nodded for him to ready his sword in case she DID give the order. Jamie was simply shocked that she’d even consider it.

I think the abduction part got the „official reading“ cause Lord Rickard Stark and Brandon Stark rode to Winterfell calling for Rhaegar; and Lyanna was a critical piece in their Alliance making (Stark + Tully, Stark + Baratheon, Tully + Lannister was an idea at that point, Tully + Arryn) so that was in danger -> the major houses obviously had plans against the insanity of Aerys, and Rhaegar wanted a Great Counsel of all Lords too he told it to Jaime...
When Lord Stark and Brandon where killed, the reason for the Rebellion wasn‘t Lyanna, it was Aerys DEMANDING of Lord Arryn to execute Robert and Eddard which were under his tutelage at that point, and him refusing to do so plus Aerys‘ ever more growing tyrannical behaviour over the last decade... Robert, Eddard and Jon Arryn were fighting for their lifes, not because the Rhaegar/Lyanna part
Bronns actor said in a interview he doesn't know if were still going to like him season 8byou noticed in Jon and Dany love scene she started out on top then Jon takes top position coupled with Brans explanation of Jon's heritage i think it's forshadowing something
well i think it is obvious that bronn is going to take Cersei' side....he's a sellsword....she's pretty much the only person now who still has the power to give him all that he wants in terms of reward.
Jamie and Tyrion do not have any power anymore, Cersei is the head of the Lannister family and they remain the most powerful/richest family in Westeros. Tyrion and Jamie do not have access to that wealth and power anymore.
Bronn is betting on Cersei from here on out....remember what Tyrion said when they walked through the Vale after he won the trial by combat..."just remember, if the day ever comes when you are tempted to sell me out, remember, whatever their price....I'll beat it".
Cersei can beat anyone's price. She is the Queen, she can invest lords, give titles, give them castles and arrange marriages.... she is backed by the Iron Bank. The Iron Bank has gold.
Brann has a lordship now, but he wants gold, he wants the highborn wife, he wants the castle, and probably some type of title like "protector" etc.

1. She already paid back the loan. The rep from the Iron Bank said they'd never had a loan of that size paid off all at once.
The sack of High garden bought them the Golden COmpany and paid off all the crowns debt.
2. They won't call in their marker. Cersei is more dependable than people with no gold.
3. Do you think the Iron Bank will believe in Zombies and "The Long Night"> unless they see it with their own eyes?
The Iron Bank does not care about zombies they have never seen, or Cersei not "fighting for the living" and even so, those zombies can't swim to Braavos to the Iron Bank.
4. She does not need Dorne or the North. The North is nothing but land and has been in open rebellion for 7 years against the crown, and with no economic value to the realm, and Dorne has always been virtually independent.
5. The Freys are all dead. Edmure Tully is in thrall to the Lannisters now as you recall, since Jaime let him live and back in to Riverrun.
6. The Unsullied left Casterly Rock. It was just a sentimental castle that Jaime already said they'd take back eventually.
7. Theon is going to take back the Iron Islands, with his and Yara's entire fleet destroyed, all their men killed and her taken captive, sitting in Euron's dungeon?
8. From the Iron BAnk's perspective, Cersei is the absolute safest bet.
She has gold, she has the loyalty of the people against foreign invaders. She has the golden company and all her banners and the remaining Lannister forces.
The Lannisters remain the *SAFEST* bet for the Iron Bank.

Steve and Lacey, that post episode question period seemed longer than normal and I forgot some of my comments. Steve, there were a few things that happened in this episode that brought a number of thoughts and actions together, as Hannibal Smith said "Don't you love it when a plan comes together?" This 6 day wait you are going through makes me jealous since most of us have had more than a year and a half to wait. But I thank you and other reactors I have watching most of 2018 and into 2019 to keep my "need" for anything GoT satisfied. We are all on the same journey now and I will continue to watch your GoT reactions even with my seeing it the same time as you. Good work and thank you once again.

Regarding who determined that Rhaegar 'kidnapped' Lyanna: I believe at least 2 Starks present at the Tourney at Harrenhal knew she didn't want to wed Robert and did like Rhaegar - Ned and Benjen. Benjen probably knew more than that as they were super close. Perhaps he witnessed their first secret meetings; Rhaegar seeking the KOTLT & discovering it was Lyanna pulling a stunt. We know they met in secret at Harrenhal and Benjen likely aided in this effort and kept the secret.
Once Rhaegar and Lyanna are gone missing, young Brandon goes nuts - he's filled with impulsive pride and ambition, never stops to think it through. Goes to KL and challenges Rhaegar, gets thrown in the black cells. Up north, the truth comes out. Rickard rides south to reconcile things, thinking some arrangement with King Aerys is possible. He'd get Brandon back, maybe even get Lyanna back. Rickard wanted to save Lyanna's betrothal to Robert if he could. For this reason alone the Starks would've gone with the kidnap story to preserve her honor. I think Benjen's shame over failing to alerthis family in time to stop what came next is the reason he went to the wall.
It was Robert that started that rumor that’s what the whole rebellion is built on.
For Steve: So the quote that Sansa says at the end "When the snow falls, and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies - but the pack survives" was a teaser for season 7, it was Sansa saying it over images. For months, people thought it was foreshadowing Arya - the lone wolf, and Sansa/Jon - the pack. So lots of people thought Arya was going to die, which made that whole Winterfell scene between the two of them, Sansa and Arya, so much more intense. Now though, I think it has to do with Cersei. Everyone else joined together against the Army of the dead, but she is sitting alone.
My fear is that if "fire can not kill a dragon", as Danny told us after watching her brother die - then does Viserion still have that fire imunity? And if he does, how WILL they be able to kill him? Will Dragonglass be the only way, or will dragons have imunity to that as well? Will Drogon and Rhaegal even be willing to attack their brother? So many questions!!!

I know it wont happen but I think it would be amazing if Arya became the Night's Queen after killing the Night King. Its been an Idea stuck in my head since the season 7 cold open. Great Reaction guys BTW.
IMO there is NO way to kill Ice Viserion directly. The better strategy is to way to kill the Night King. Then Ice Viserion should crumble like those other wights did. As Jorah said, "Kill him. He turned them all." Question is, is the Night King vulnerable to dragonglass or Valerian steel? Maybe not. One theory is that the way to kill the night king is to get close enough to pull that piece of dragonglass OUT of his heart.

Well, your camera chose a good time to cut out at least! Interesting to hear some theories for season 8. I have tended to avoid anything related to season 8, but this was interesting. Here in the UK Season 8 airs at 2am in the morning. Going to have to spend the next day not talking to anyone, not turning on the television or the internet. Going to be fun!

I want to watch this video till end so baaad, but I can't - it's 11 p.m. in the Central Europe. But anyway, I watched Steve's reactions and he had some excellent observations. As usual. I did not notice, that dead Viserion is faster. Also on Jon & Dany's note - you say, guys, it will not affect their relationship. I think it will - Jon is not going to be O.K. that he had an intimate contact with his own aunt. Dany will be O.K. as her own parents were siblings, but not Jon - you know, that Ned Stark's honour and pride and duty... It is deeply marked in Jon.
How did The Mountain know Cersei was bluffing? Maybe "I don't believe you'" are the Westerosi safe-words. :p
I'm on board with the theory that Arya may die, BUT, if she does, that Melissandre will bring her back - but, it will cost Melissandre all of her "life fire" and she'll die.
