I taught my dog to take his trash to the bin for a treat, e.g. after he licked an empty yogurt container clean. Started teaching him to carry things to a specific person. He likes licking mats and kongs, tug games, walks and camping. Shredding cartoon boxes is also a highlight for him, but he tends to shred other things, too, so I cannot leave him alone afterwards. He thinks playing fetch is totally stupid. 😂 We tried an obstacle course with pens in the passage sometimes, but it takes a lot of time to set up. He did quite well though, but wasn't too excited about this game. Hiding treats didn't work for me as he got so excited that he scratched the furniture. A nice challenge for a more relaxed dog than mine: attach a rope to a flat container with a treat, hide it under a cupboard or the couch and make him pull the container out by the rope - not allowed to touch the container directly. I wish we had a good dog agility club nearby. I'm sure he would like that.
this is so true. my doberman wasn’t getting enough mental stimulation and we work a lot so he would eat the wall and the floor. we got him a brother to keep him busy and play to get his energy out and now he doesn’t destroy things. he just turned 1

Feed my dog peanut butter? No thanks, good-bye.
