    What makes those feativals more amazing is that participants are mostly local high school or college students.From dancers to drummers to warriors. It shows just how well disciplined the youths are. The performance, the stàmina and the dedication. Not to mention the artistic talents behind those costumes. The skills behind those music produced from drums and bamboos and sticks. Lastly the choreography for street dancing and stage performance. Also the services of the drivers and people behind the provisions who provide food, snacks and beverages. And most of all the support of the family and friends. It's an awesome collective efforts of the whole community. I am Filipino from the City of Smiles, Masskara Festival Bacolod City. Watching from Saudi Arabia.

    fun fact most of the people dancing in these festival dances are either dance troupes or dancers from a club from each of the city's schools. most of them are students. since its a contest usually with prize money its also possible that some of them are people from certain barangays

    Dinagyang has a different vibe among other festivals because it's so lively and energetic. It requires stamina once you perform in the festival. Performers need to perform in 3 or 5 different areas or streets and they need to walk until they reach every area. Of course every area has different group of people and different set of judges. You should not get tired because you need to give your best in every area. Performers are composed of drummers, warriors, and dancers. Each group in Dinagyang is called tribe. A tribe usually has of 50-90 warriors, 30-65 drummers, 15-65 dancers. Nowadays, they also added live singers and chanters. That's why it is so popular among tourists because you will really get hyped when you are watching them perform plus the intensity when you hear the beat of the drums.

      Dinagyang is nothing different from Ati atihan..but the difference is..ATI ATIHAN is the mother of Philippine festivals...in short..Ati atihan came first

    • @mechocaacosta7743
      @mechocaacosta7743 Рік тому

      @@lancefortaleza3665 There is no doubt that Ati-atihan is the mother of all festivals because its the first festival in the country. Ati-atihan and Dinagyang have the same history of commemorating the legendary barter and the arrival of the Malay sttlers. But Dinagyang has the Ati Tribe competition and Ati-atihan is more on street dancing/ merry making. That's why I didn't see Ati-atihan participate in Aliwan Festival. Dinagyang has also merry making/ street dancing but it is separate with the tribe competition. Watch this to know the difference ua-cam.com/video/7HaMFiLvoDw/v-deo.html When you watch Aliwan Festival you will see the difference of each festival in the Philippines.

      @@lancefortaleza3665 Ati atihan and Dinagyang are Neighboring Place and the native Aeta/ati Came from Panay. Just like Sinulog almost the same with festivals in Leyte.. and Ati atihan has black color while Dinagyang is brown.. and Ati atihan has no performance like Dinagyang that made every year Interesting.. Ati atihan is the Mother of all Philippine Festival and Dinagyang is the Queen of All Philippine Festival and MOST AWARDED ❤

    Try reacting to phililipines graduations. Here in ph we actually sing and dance during graduations and it can really get emotional and it is for the parents.
    Just imagine your last day of school being a musical. And i am not exaggerating. Every private school as their own graduation song and if you ask any filipino what their grad song was they'll likely have one.
