Some quick history for those confused about the Pacific Islander comment Ken made at the beginning of the video. Us Pinoys are apart of the Austronesian Ethnolinguistic group. An Ethnolinguistic group is a group of people who share genetics as well as linguistics. The people within the Austronesian Ethnolinguistic group are the Aboriginal Taiwanese, Malaysians, Indonesians, us Pinoys, Micronesians, Polynesians, and even the Malagasy of Madagascar. We are one people, many tribes, separated by thousands of miles of ocean, the only people in the history of man to span so far and wide via the ocean. Our family is really a beautiful thing. Us Austronesians were also once labeled as a separate race known as the Malay Race, but now we all fall under the Mongoloid (Asian) Race. The Philippines was even once apart of the Spanish East Indies which also included many Islands in Micronesia. Pacific Islander is not a race, but a culture. People who claim Pacific Islander are apart of the Austronesian Ethnolinguistic branch of the Mongoloid (Asian) Race, which makes us Asian at the end of the day, but both answers are acceptable, even though some get mad when we choose either or. P.S. I would also like to clear up the misconception on the Chinese influence mentioned in the video. The most recent genetic testings show that people with Chinese ancestry are only about 3% of the country, and the admixture within those people can vary anywhere from 1% to 90%, as well as can only be found in the major cities, not really the Provinces were most of the population lives. Many people have either full or near full Filipino Austronesian genetics, like my family for example. For years my family speculated mainland Asian ancestry because my Lola (Grandmother) is so fair skinned, well we happened to find out that she is 98.5% Austronesian Ilokano Filipino while the remaining 1.5% was Spanish. No mainland Asian ancestry in either my Lolo (Grandfather) or Lola.
@@Boondoxx the population of the country with chinese ancestry is more than 22-27% the one you mean is half blooded chinese or pure blooded with only 2%
@@rampage4695 the studies and findings I read stated everything I said. Regardless of the admixture of Chinese genetics is only showed within 3% of the population in the Philippines. That 3% is still millions of people in the population of the Philippines. Would love to read where you got that info from so I can cross reference and see any inconsistencies between the studies I’m mentioning and the one you mentioned. Anyways, hope all is well Pare! I’ve learned a lot about my home country,I always thought Ilocano my dialect was the 2nd welspoken dialect ,but it is cebuano😅😅😄.love this video.i hope you will visit my home country.
What I’ve observed about the “Asian” or “Pacific Islander” thing is that for Filipinos who grew up in the Philippines, we consider ourselves as Asians. And those who grew up in the U.S., they consider themselves as Pacific Islanders.

I actually went on taoist temple numerous times during 1st grade tourist, it has a beautiful scenery up there
VI3ION, check out bacolod (or find videos of it), the best food in my opinion is called chicken inasal. its just some sorta chicken that you can eat with literal soy sauce and is amazing. and the festival "Masskara" is insanely cool.
I have been to manila ocean park and it was so cool! I even got a shark plush!

The Filipinos are family oriented people. It is the only country where a family member will take the chances to work abroad for better pay and send most of the hard earned money to folks in the Philippines for financial support and education. Almost every family has a family member abroad.
