what he described as bullying didnt sound bad at all... when i was in school my mom got called slut and whore for being a single mom, got bullyed and beat up for being poor and wearing the same clothes, got made fun of because i had glasses and they would break them knowing i couldnt afford new ones then more more fun of me for not being able to read. Honestly just sounds like he was soft and refused to try to get help.
@@respecthalo2963 oh wooooow bro you're so cool and tough, consider that children are still susceptible to even milder forms of bullying, that he most likely didn't share everything that he had to sit through, that he was still being dragged through the hellscape of being famous and recognized everywhere he went, and that not everyone is as tough or cool as you.
For anyone wondering what happened to Julianna Rose Mauriello (Stephanie from Lazy Town) since I don't think it was actually covered in the video despite her being in the thumbnail- Julianna felt she grew too old to be Stephanie so quit the show, especially since she was 4 years older than the character to start with anyway. She then toured the UK for a while, teaching children the importance of being healthy and active. After travelling back to the US she realised "the life of lights" wasn't for her, so she quit acting and went to college and university where she'd eventually get a masters degree. She is now an Occupational Therapist and is doing really well for herself.
It's very very poor from Sunny to do that clickbait rubbish and potentially start malicious rumours about people. But we all know his channel is about trying to kick people down.
Absolutely weird behavior to put her in the thumbnail. i looked it up too cause i thought oh he missed it but nah shes doing really good and he portrayed her poorly for clicks
From what he's saying, it really doesn't sound like he was being bullied at all and just has the softest of egos. Kids making lightsaber noises at you isn't bullying. It's playful. He needed to re-frame what was happening in his school life. Constantly assuming people are bullying you when they are trying to play with you will make you 0 friends.
I think the only child actor I know of who turned okay was Brooke Shields, and that’s considering the fact she was made to be a giant sex symbol as a kid and teen.
its not sad its horrifying how horrible Hollywood is but parents still take their kids there in hopes of them becoming famous. like selling your own child's soul for money.
I think it's crazy how much they went through bc we only saw the glamourous side of it and thought they had amazing lives and that they were always happy. Unfortunately their fate shows why you should never judge a book by the cover.
I’m so glad Macaulay Culkin managed to get his life back on track. I know we’ll probably never see him in a movie again, but it was so awesome to see his turnaround.
Stories like these definitely make you appreciate those who turned out fine in their life. Gaining so much success at a young age is a curse as much as it is a gift.
Judy's story is so sad seeing as it wasn't even really her fault in the beginning - the whole Wizard of oz production was horrible and it ended up affecting her whole life :(
Hollywood really screwed up, she could sing and dance but producers basically told her that she didn't have the face or the body to be a leading lady. I read a book on Frank Sinatra, him and Judy had been friends since the 40s. The book described that in the 60s Judy would practically beg him to sleep with her just so that she could feel good about herself and feel wanted. Frank would oblige, but he wasn't attracted to her and was just doing it because he cared about her. Really sad.
I was pretty sad hearing what Judy Garland went through. She went from playing a character in one of the most iconic movies ever made. To performing in a bar for only 100 dollars. She deserved better treatment...
Fame can corrupt more than just the actor. It can turn parents of child actors into harsh opportunists, like Jennette McCurdy’s mother, and considering that times back in those days were different, it makes sense why people were cool with it back then. For all we know, she probably said no until they psychologically manipulated her into taking them or blow this one shot and forever be a relic of forgotten history. Back then and even now, people would do anything for fame, and I’m not just talking about the actors.
@@willmagnuson3174 Grooming is when someone builds a relationship, trust and emotional connection with a child or young person so they can manipulate, exploit and abuse them. She was 16 and quite obviously exploited and manipulated. At 16 that's still a child. Imagine being that young and being told 'take these pills and all your dreams will come true'. Yes her parents should have protected her but when you get a doctor to come around and say 'these will help her and you all will be super rich' that's manipulation. Not everyone is lucky enough to have good protective parents and even those who do aren't immune to trickery and manipulation.

Judy Garland's life, for me, was very tragic. From her childhood to her fame, to her failed marriages, to her last days. The only thing that was good for her was becoming a mother. Her story makes me really sad 😔

Lindsay Lohan is another infamous example of a child celebrity that went very wrong, the abuses and stress from the industry have broken adults, so it's especially wicked and cruel when it's done to children, this also reminds me the story of Macaulay Culkin.
Macaulay Culkin is doing better these days. In fact he was in an episode of angry video game nerd regarding the home alone games and he played a parody of himself. Plus the dude put on a little weight.
True, while Macaulay had gotten better, it was a long journey, losing years of life to his vices, time that will never be recovered, I recommend the interview done by his brother Kieran, who describes the hard times Macaulay had to endure.
Damn, I had never heard of what happened to Judy Garland. I’ve seen The Wizard of Oz countless times, but knowing how she was treated on set and how it led to her life being ruined, the magic of the film feels slightly tainted
That's showbusiness for you. Full of degenerates who will exploit anything and anyone to make money. Imagine giving a kid amphetamines just so they could keep filming and save some budget!
Judy Garland was one of my Dad's favorite actresses. When he heard about her life story, it really hurt him. I can't imagine how she must've felt through such horrible treatment.
The abuse she faces was always common knowledge - How did he never realise? Judy, her children and everyone around her has discussed it while she was alive and after she passed….. How can you not know the most well known facts about your “favourite actor”…..
@@TheBreechie because it's possible to never engage with an artist's life or any news. There are plenty of singers and actors who I'm a huge fan of but I don't know shit about their life simply because I just like their content.
There's a very sad irony that Garland starring in what is arguably one of America's most treasured classics had also been the clearest example of the horrors that Hollywood has had on its stars, with unchecked practices being swept under the rug. I'm glad that a light has been shined on the abuse Garland had suffered, but it's so sad that it took this long
This is why I have so much respect for Kurt Russell, a child actor himself. He stated in an interview a few years ago that on any film where kids are involved, he will never let them leave his site in fear of someone taking advantage of them.
One of the few in Hollywood that I don't think I'd mind having a beer with. I recently watched some old reruns with my folks of Gunsmoke with young Kurt in an episode. He looked and sounded exactly like what you'd think a 10 year old Kurt Russell would in your head.
That's also what happened to Ke Hey Quan a.k.a Short Round from Indiana Jones: Temple of Doom and Data from Goonies. Being a child actor really pressured him not only that he's also an immigrant from Vietnam, he needs to retire for acting for many years and becomes a stuntman instead. And his comeback to Everything Everywhere All At Once is well deserved and even won an Oscar for it.
Orlando Brown’s story is sad. Not just because of his decline and drug addiction, but because even to this day, people continue to interview him and put him in front of cameras knowing that he’s gonna show up high, so that people can see him act crazy. They’re creating “entertainment” from this man’s suffering. As a former meth addict, I know how near-impossible it is to get off that evil substance. It changes your entire personality and it costs you everything, and you still won’t even care because its just ridiculously addictive. I hope this man can break free from addiction because he’s actually a very talented and funny actor.
I've never touched those things and never plan to. Seeing how Orlando acted on that Dr Phil episode was a depressing reminder to stay the fuck away from meth. Good job on getting sober, and I hope Orlando can do the same.
Garland’s story is just so sad. It’s almost infuriating that she turned out (and died) the way she did all because of those older and manipulating of her in her role.
There's something cosmically funny about a week-old account named "Animegirllover" with a Naruto profile picture calling someone an NPC. Of course, the JC Denton pfp repeating the same under them is rather ironic, considering how hard Maximilian's horde of NPCs fell off years ago.
Exactly from what you here about the Harry Potter child actors. It seemed like they were treated very well on set. Unlike a lot of American child stars.
Tbh United States is the only country with the problem of putting celebrities on a pedestal for some reason. Obviously other countries do this too but it’s so prevalent here. They ask for autographs, photos, and expect it. Celebrities are human and should be treated with respect and dignity. I remember coming across a band I saw in San Diego and I remember we talked for a good 10 minutes before I left the venue. I think people forget that some celebrities do enjoy small talk and you might even become good friends with them if they really like you
@@kongvinter33 why? Other than film making occupying your life which doesn't leave time for doing the things you like, i dont see why it can destroy their life. Those kids destroyed their own life, no one forced them to take any drugs or any alcohol... Same goes for attacking your parents.
Judy Garlands story is the most heartbreaking for me. The only person who cared about her was her father who tragically passed away early in life. No one else protected this woman & it makes me sick to know the movie studio that contributed a lot to this, MGM Studios, still exists today owned by Bezos of course. -__-
Margaret Hamilton (Wicked Witch) was the only person on set who cared about her. The executives brought in cake/different foods to eat in front of Judy, and the Margaret sneaked some off to feed to Judy because she was appaled at the way they were treating her.

These stories make me love Robin Williams even more, when working on Mrs Doubtfire they wanted to push the kids for some more scenes, Robin stepped in and put a stop to it so the kids could go home. Really is a shame that the industry has ruined lives and still does.
I'm sure there are still cruel exceptions somewhere in the industry today but as somebody who has worked on set with children, I'm happy to report that there are strict structural guidelines for how long they work, who interacts with them, and how they receive education on set if it interferes with their schooling. So from my perspective, it has (hopefully) gotten better and more accountable than in years past.
Robin Williams also had a clause in his contract that every company he worked for had to hire homeless people for every production he was in. Hollywood did not deserve this man.
i think a big part of the problem is that the parents who push their kids to be actors tend to care more about themselves. it's sad robin williams isn't around anymore, i bet he was a great father figure to these kids
This video makes me grateful that Macaulay Culkin is doing pretty well nowadays. It seems like him & his wife are keeping a low profile so they can raise their kid & seeing him on being able AVGN & RedLetterMedia & joke alone with them makes me happy. I’m glad he’s recovering.

Something good about the most recent news about Amanda Bynes is that she was the one who called herself in and recognized that she was having an episode and needed help. Hopefully that’s a sign that she’s getting better
I was looking to see if someone had mentioned this as it’s a very important step in managing your own MH, starting to recognise things like this. It’s really not fair to Amanda that this important piece of information keeps being left off. I’m probably a decade older than what her target audience was when she was doing the majority of her work, so the only thing that I’ve ever seen her in was Hairspray, and she was brilliant opposite Allison Janney. Here’s hoping that she continues to learn to recognise the intricacies and foibles of her own MH issues.
Jake's story is exactly the argument against child acting. Yes, we need child actors sometimes, but we should never exploit them for these roles and they should be protected. Forcing children into fame will ruin them.

I'm so glad that Lindsay Lohan managed to get her life together. Her movies were literally a huge part of my childhood and I was sad that she was going through so much. She seems so much happier and more enthusiastic to be acting and it seems like she's really close to her family too. I am really rooting for Amanda Bynes also to somehow get her life together because I saw a TikTok of someone who met her and this was hours before the incident that sent her to the psych ward. Amanda sounded so sweet and self-aware to the point she actually was the one who told people around her to call for help. I am so convinced Dan Schneider had to have done something truly horrific to Amanda during her days on The Amanda Show, especially with everything Jeanette McCurdy and Alexa Nikolas have said about him.
Lindsay had to literally leave the Western world to regain her footing! Maybe doing so may help some of the other child actors who got fucked over by the industry!
Amanda Bynes breaks my heart. For a period of time when other teen stars were going the wild route, she was starrring in alot of big movies and seemed like was was gonna break the child star cliche. And I loved her in Easy A.
Hollywood will fk you up, mental illness will fk you up, but both? Heartbreaking and literally inconceivable to us, we just see their headlines ): Amanda deserves the healthy & productive life she seems to yearn for, she’s been trying so hard but all those conditions thrown upon her lead to a constant ‘flip-flop’ out of a stable life…she needs & deserves that stability
She seemed so well put together. I'm guessing she started doing drugs and ended up how she is now. I think that's the main cause of all of these young actor's problems. Drugs can lead to horrible mental illnesses.
I loved her in The Amanda Show, now I can't even stomach the fact that she had to work with Dan "Get in the Van" Schneider throughout her Nickelodeon career. Lord knows what atrocities were going on behind the scenes.
You haven't even scratched the surface of the shit Judy Garland went through as a child star. My heart aches for what she and her peers went through from Shirley Temple to Mickey Rooney. And let's not forget the treatment of black actors in that time period. Her story is tragic. Rest In Peace dear Judy.
Orlando Brown is one of the saddest child star stories. Had so much talent and potential. One drug arrest and Disney decides to end this man’s entire career.
Eddy is and still is my favorite character in That so Raven. He did a redemption arc already he is clean and honestly I would give him another chance if I were to cast him.
Very unfortunate that those who made our childhoods better were forced into these circumstances. They really deserved better and I hope that future child stars are looked out for properly. I know there are many more than those listed here that deal with similar circumstances through being too famous, too young.
I grew up on shows like That’s So Raven, The Amanda Show, & Drake & Josh. So seeing stuff like this is pretty heartbreaking. The film industry can be really cruel & evil.
@TJ Sells Exactly, just like how Judy had the choice to not be drugged and other children had the self restraint to not try something new and interesting to them like the drugs they were offered and the popularity they got 24/7

Hearing the Jake Lloyd situation is actually so sad. He spent a good amount of his childhood being bullied for simply acting in a movie. It doesn't shock me how he assaulted his mother either since he probably thought that since she pushed him into acting then the bullying is her fault. Truly a sad experience.
it's sad because as an adult you could probably see that all the bullying was from jealousy and hatred of themselves, people will do anything to cut a amazing/talented person down so they can feel superior.. I hope his experience on the movie isn't completely tainted, because it's such an awesome achievement to do what he did!
@@ihaylz Idk the story doesn't really make complete sense. Sure it is possible for people to do that. But it is more likely that he would be popular with the other kids and people would want to get on his good side and "be popular" by association. Probably there are pieces to this story missing.
That's not an excuse to beat your mother.... He shouldve been locked up for that and rehabilitated. Everyone has problems, but once you start taking it out on other people you become a danger to society and need to be removed until you can behave properly again
@@paulievespucci6867Absolutely not... Being famous as a child movie actor doesn't at all mean you are going to be popular or cool or other people are going to want to hang out with you. Being on the radar is losing half the battle. Many child actors are homeschooled for exactly this reason. They miss out on normal schoolyard activities, but they also miss out on the bullying. I was in the theatre back in 1998 when I was 14yrs old and after winning Best Young Actor at the Partington theatre festival I was chosen to do a bunch of auditions for upcoming acting roles for the BBC. I was immediately chosen to be the lead in a program after my first audition but after talking with the Producers and admitting that I smoked weed in my spare time they turned me down. I was absolutely devastated. I fell into addiction for a while but eventually got back on my feet. Nowadays I see it as a blessing in disguise that I didn't continue my acting career because I definitely would have gone flying off the rails if I had earnt a decent chunk of money and become famous. I wouldn't have been able to handle it at all.
I’m so glad your thumbnail wasn’t accurate. Julianna Rose Mauriello (from LazyTown) has always been one of my favorites, but hadn’t looked her up in a few years and got worried. (Oh and I looked her up and she seems to be doing VERY well: got her masters, works in pediatric occupational therapy, and has a healthy personal life, so still very happy for her!)

As someone who is diagnosed with bipolar I, I can tell you it's so easy to spiral, especially during mania. you need support and people to ground you or you'll always go over the deep end. I've learned to never go along with my first idea during mania, it's often ended poorly. This is why I'd literally never try any drug even once, which includes prescription pain killers, cause the potential for addiction is significantly higher. I feel for Amanda Bynes.
This gives a completely new context to the kids movie I learned to love... This is absolutely horrifying. They abused a 16-year-old kid and destroyed her life with "prescribed" drugs.
It's honestly sad to see these child celebrities grow up to ruin their reputations, these are the people that made our childhoods and seeing them throw their fame away is just heartbreaking to say the least
It's even more sad when you realize that these kids never stood a chance. From an early age, they we forced into a mold of what they should be, and they're expected to fit into that mold for the rest of their lives. Then there's all the adults in power who just want to exploit them. It really doesn't surprise me that many of them turn to drugs and alcohol. I often hear that they're peer pressured into using substances by adults, sometimes even their employers.
Except in most of these cases, they're not throwing it away for nothing. More often than not it's because they have no other way to cope with all the bullshit they went through. The industry is terrible. If you want good insight to how bad it was, just with Nickelodeon alone, read I'm Glad My Mom Died. Jennette McCurdy is an excellent writer and her story alone is heartbreaking but also so many other nick stars have come out and told similar stories. Hell the Victorious cast was constantly wasted, and that was when they were underage. I will always love the shows that made my childhood but I"m more upset that there isn't enough being done to protect child stars so that they don't have to go through this, because it's not their fault that they turn out the way they do, and then all we do is fail them as children and mock them as adults.
Judy Garland's case is really sad for me because unlike other actors and actresses that turned to drugs and alcohol because of the fame and money, she basically had that life forced onto her from a young age to promote a "skinny" image and ruined her for the rest of her life
This is why being a celebrity is much more riskier than many people picture it to be. And it's troublesome for the crowd too since they don't know who the celebrity could really be.
Is it though? You get the bad cases here because there is no point saying someone is fine. But many normal have tons of issues as well. I had crazy parents my sister is a mentally ill etc. I am no celebrity. Shit happens to people.
What’s sad is, you never hear from the parents of these child actors. They get famous for a time, and their life just falls apart and the parents are no where to be seen or heard of. I couldn’t live with myself if I pushed my kid into an industry that ruined their life.
"The only thing I did wrong was sing Over The Rainbow"... Damn man, that's hits... Because if she hadn't been changed forever by that role, maybe her life would've been different. I feel so sorry for her...
Judy Garland's life was literally just a constant punch directly in the stomach for her. The three men who played the tin man, the lion and the scarecrow bullied her on set because they were apparently jealous of her having the lead role (imagine grown men bullying a little girl - pathetic beyond the pale) and by the time she was a young woman in her 20s her mental health was already completely screwed up because of all the drugs they constantly fed her since she was a child so she wouldn't need to sleep and eat like a regular human being, all with the plan to make as much money as possible out of her then they discarded her like an old tissue. Then she dies alone, far from home. It's brutally sad and I hope she's someplace now where she is safe and happy in the great beyond.
Apparently Garland's only friend and protector on set was the Wicked Witch Of The West actress (I think her name was Margaret Hamilton). Enemies on screen, friends off it.
Jake Lloyd was the most broken one, he was bullied so much that this caused him to go completely mad, and his sisters death drove him worse. I hope the best for him
Honestly I blame George Lucas. It was a terrible script first of all, and this poor kid was selected to be young Anakin/Darth Vader with basically zero acting experience whatsoever. If you watch some of the casting tapes, there were other kids competing for the role and one of them in particular was just a natural at it but George was like "Well, some people test well but don't necessarily translate to performing well" -- Jake Lloyd did none of those things. Then his family pimped him out to voice act in video games as well, squeezing as much out of the situation as possible. Of course, everyone for the most part hated Episode 1 and the only character people hated more in it was Jar Jar Binks, as far as being annoying and all. I think they set the kid up for failure, then you have an entire population of disappointed fans looking for anyone and anything to blame and suddenly you find out this kid actor is suddenly your classmate. If I had a nickel for every time someone most likely mockingly asked him "Are you an angel?" I'd probably be a multi-millionaire by now.

The crazy thing about Judy Garland is that she was only 16 when she shot Wizard of Oz and I think the people around her had been giving her drugs since she was even younger than that. A lot of the people on this list made terrible decisions themselves, but Judy Garland was a child who was exploited by adults who should have cared for her.
The story of child actor Bobby Driscoll was really sad. He was the only child of his family known for being in Song of the South and for the voice and model for Peter Pan in 1953 but shortly after the release of Peter Pan, his contract with Disney expired and he was more or less blacklisted from show business due to him getting older and him having acne. This resulted in Bobby dying on March 30th, 1968. Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers had a scarily accurate parallel with Driscoll's story for the backstory of Sweet Pete.
He played Jim Hawkins in my favourite rendition of treasure Island alongside Robert Newton as John Silver, really turns those happy memories bittersweet
@@agoogolofgeese Being blacklisted from show business did a lot of damage to Bobby as he didn't find major success in anything he did after being blacklisted and he was suffering from being an alcoholic.
if Jake Lloyds life turned that way just from one role without even ill intent from the parents (as far as i know), can you imagine what those pageant girls under the abuse of egotistic parents are handling/handled in their childhood?
If you add Judy Garland, you have to include Mickey Rooney. The were child stars together and BFF's for the remainder of her life, and were basically experimented on with drugs in order to delay puberty.
To add to the horror, Judy was also repeatedly groped by old men who worked with her on the Oz set. Some even grabbed her still immature chest, pressing and commenting how they're growing and that she would be a pretty lady one day. It was "normal" to have producers touch actors and actresses all over because of the power they had on your career.
Well that's horrifying. Sadly, I think said behavior just became more secretive and subtle after that era, rather than stopped entirely, if the likes of Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey are anything to go by. And lot's not forget that certain island too from the guy that supposedly off'd himself...
Particularly feel bad for Jake Lloyd's story. I honestly forgot about him. It's sad now knowing how much he was bullied throughout his school life from being in a Star Wars movie when he was 9 or 10. Says a lot how hard it must've been for him knowing that he retired from acting just a few years later at 12. Sad.
Also Phantom Menance was a very good film. It has a lot of fighting scene in both land and space battles. Those fans are the scumbag toxic OT fans who also make Geogre Lucas gave up and sold Star Wars to Disney
Uh, I feel worse for Judy Garland being fed a diet of barbituates and meth from the studio when she was just 16 leading to a lifelong drug habit and a tragic end...next to that some kids making light-saber noises seems ridiculously trivial.
Its so sad what happened to Jake Lloyd. He essentially got bullied most of his childhood because A New Hope wasn't liked at the time of it coming out, and a lot of the blame ended up on him somehow. Theres video footage of the car chase on youtube somewhere, and its insane.
I met Jake at Star Wars Celebration 3, super cool guy, we talked about Jingle all the way. It’s so sad to see how crappy kids can be to each other. Wish him nothing but the best.
Amanda Bynes was not just "found strolling through the streets naked", she was having a manic episode & ended up reaching out to people knowing she wasn't okay.
I was wondering why the girl from LazyTown wasn’t covered since she’s in the thumbnail but saw a comment about her and she seems to be doing really well!
As a kid I grew up hearing horror stories about the lives of older child stars and a majority from my generation went through the same nightmares. They were essentially robbed of their childhoods and deeply scarred in exchange for a few years of fame and wealth. I wouldn’t wish the life of a child celebrity on anybody.
I remember when I started finding out about Judy Garland's tragic life after seeing a behind-the-scenes documentary about The Wizard of Oz. Honestly, it makes the movie less enjoyable and seeing her early death and haggard physical state later on (due to all the drugs, smoking, etc. over the years) is a nightmarish contrast to what she could have gone on to become if not for all the terrible things she went through on the set of that movie and afterwards.
So here's an update for Drake Bell. He's innocent. You see on the Ultimate Drake Bell UA-cam channel there are videos where Drake tells his side of the story. Drake said he never did anything sexual or harmful to the girl and when Drake found out she was 15 he blocked her. But I like to think when she found out Drake was married at the time and had a son she wanted to get back at him and it caused her to accuse him of doing such questionable things. Drake then said if he didn't tell them his side of the story and plea guilty he wouldn't have been able to see his son Jeremy. He even said there false articles claiming he did things like sexual assault when in reality he did no such thing. Even if he did he wouldn't have been able to see his son and be sent to jail. He's currently making music on his channel and releasing a new album. Let's just hope that Drake is doing alright and maybe he'll get his life back on track
Judy garland broke my heart 😢when she said “the only mistake I ever made was singing over the rainbow” they shouldn’t have been forcing a child to smoke cigs and take pills, thank goodness there’s laws about this kind of stuff now

Being a celebrity isn't always what its said to be. What it means is that you have to be in the spotlight or be in the news. We don't know who is under the mask sometimes.

I never imagined Judy garland suffered like that and was so mistreated in Hollywood. Truly heartbreaking. I love the Wizard of Oz movie since watching it as a kid in Nigeria in the 2000s but never imagined how bad it was for her. God rest her soul.
The music it was playing when sunny talked about Judy Garland was unlike anything i have ever seen before. It represented feelings of joyfulness at the start, and more sadness toward the end.
Orlando's hits hard because he played Cornelius Filmore, a young kid who turned his life around to join his school's police force; knowing he just spiraled into crime after his time with Disney, as much as I love the show Filmore!, it hurts hearing him talk about morals when the real life person behind the character doesn't.
this dude legit takes the most sad and destructive story and while he stares at the paragraphs of hate and failure, deep in the abyss, he still finds the light in the story
judy’s story is heartbreaking because its all due to the mistreatment of her from the very beginning. she didnt even stand a chance after the wizard of oz bent her out of shape with the cigarettes, diet (or lack thereof), and pills
I feel as if someone should’ve been punished deeply for this like the thought of children taking any pills makes me disturbed and sick, especially in the awful ones that you know never end well for most like wth

Ngl Sunny, usually your thumbnails are great and to the point, but I definitely got clickbaited thinking the actress from LazyTown was going to be covered in this video 😂
Jake Lloyd is a sad story. He was literally bullied his entire life for simply being an actor. People can be absolutely awful.
Children never understand the harm they're doing, or even that they're not the only ones doing harm, which is why they can be so terrible.

I know Stephanie went though more than one actress aswell so I thought the one who went to jail was gonna be here on the list
It's very very poor from Sunny to do that clickbait rubbish and potentially start malicious rumours about people. But we all know his channel is about trying to kick people down.
It actually pissed me off that she was prominently featured in the thumbnail but never mentioned at all in the vid so thank you. A rare Sunny fail
Absolutely weird behavior to put her in the thumbnail. i looked it up too cause i thought oh he missed it but nah shes doing really good and he portrayed her poorly for clicks

I hope so too
I dont get why people would bully him. I would have tried to befriend him

From what he's saying, it really doesn't sound like he was being bullied at all and just has the softest of egos.

Judy's story is so sad seeing as it wasn't even really her fault in the beginning - the whole Wizard of oz production was horrible and it ended up affecting her whole life :(
Yes. I feel so bad for her
It wasn't just The Wizard of Oz, it was really Judy's leech of a mother who failed to protect Judy. Tragic.
Not just her. Every single person on that set was affected long term
Really sad.
i couldn’t imagine being in her position especially at 16, it’s awful

Fame can corrupt more than just the actor. It can turn parents of child actors into harsh opportunists, like Jennette McCurdy’s mother, and considering that times back in those days were different, it makes sense why people were cool with it back then. For all we know, she probably said no until they psychologically manipulated her into taking them or blow this one shot and forever be a relic of forgotten history. Back then and even now, people would do anything for fame, and I’m not just talking about the actors.

Grooming is when someone builds a relationship, trust and emotional connection with a child or young person so they can manipulate, exploit and abuse them.

Amanda Bynes breaks my heart. For a period of time when other teen stars were going the wild route, she was starrring in alot of big movies and seemed like was was gonna break the child star cliche. And I loved her in Easy A.
Grew up with her in All That, she was iconic back then. Never would have guessed. So sad
Hollywood will fk you up, mental illness will fk you up, but both? Heartbreaking and literally inconceivable to us, we just see their headlines ):
Amanda deserves the healthy & productive life she seems to yearn for, she’s been trying so hard but all those conditions thrown upon her lead to a constant ‘flip-flop’ out of a stable life…she needs & deserves that stability

Agreed. I hope that through therapy and rehab he's able to have somewhat of a normal life again.
I do think he might be homeless too though.

It’s just life man… we make decisions that lead us to different places…
@TJ Sells Exactly, just like how Judy had the choice to not be drugged and other children had the self restraint to not try something new and interesting to them like the drugs they were offered and the popularity they got 24/7
I recommend you dig a little deeper as this channel did some very superficial reading on the whole Drake Bell thing.
There's a really good UA-cam video about the entire Drake & Josh show, pre and post airing.

The shit these child actors went through as kids break your heart.
It really sucks that most child actors go through similar events like these
@@Zona984 And the ones that don't or went through it and came out OK are exceptions that prove the norm: Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Lisa Foiles, Mara Wilson, Macaulay Culkin, and Kenan Thompson come to mind.
His mom clearly felt guilt too, she didn’t press charges
it's sad because as an adult you could probably see that all the bullying was from jealousy and hatred of themselves, people will do anything to cut a amazing/talented person down so they can feel superior..
Also, it was considered a nerdy franchise, so it's not really the best limelight. AND there's the jealousy piece.
Being different is usually not a good thing in elementary school or high school.
Being on the radar is losing half the battle. Many child actors are homeschooled for exactly this reason.
They miss out on normal schoolyard activities, but they also miss out on the bullying.
Lol, so you think he is what, lying about being bullied and having a hard go in school? Because you can think of some magical rare scenario where kids don't suck as much as they do in real life? No.
The fact that jake loyds mother didnt press charges, shows the love that moms have for their kids no matter what
I was thinking more like she felt guilty for letting him become a child star.
@@AfromanRants definitely a mothers love. I doubt she was thinking “I can’t believe I let him play in star wars!” When being beaten-up by her own son.
@@AfromanRants She probably thought doing that was good, making him a star and stuff, she was just ignorant like most people specially back in the day, not malicious.
It's her fault for not having him be home schooled. You'd think she hear about all the bullying complaints and take him out from public school.
@@noahshad09 idk, considering the whole reason he went off the handle was because he genuinely believed in the moment she ruined his life I’m not so sure. A mothers love isn’t enough to stop charges being pressed if she thought it wasn’t justified. Maybe it was the realization that if she’d just homeschooled him instead of letting the bullying happen through the entirety of his time at public school. Like she obviously knew the bullying was happening and yet she continued to send him to public school and I think that’s pretty messed up.
Lazy town is an Icelandic show, so it seems they have ethics over there compared to Hollywood.
See, I knew this already so was confused why she was on the thumbnail. It's really not on to put her up there as the implication alone is a huge disservice to how much she has thrived in life. Thanks for posting this up though, hopefully people will see it!

My heart goes to you. I have type 2 and that’s hard enough
This gives a completely new context to the kids movie I learned to love... This is absolutely horrifying. They abused a 16-year-old kid and destroyed her life with "prescribed" drugs.
It's honestly sad to see these child celebrities grow up to ruin their reputations, these are the people that made our childhoods and seeing them throw their fame away is just heartbreaking to say the least
in a lot of cases the reason is because the fame was the thing that ruined their own childhoods.
Only a few of them threw their fame away. Most of them were actually prisoners and victims to their own fame.
@@dlr_rosa254 Sorry to hear this and the abuse that went with that.
Judy Garland's case is really sad for me because unlike other actors and actresses that turned to drugs and alcohol because of the fame and money, she basically had that life forced onto her from a young age to promote a "skinny" image and ruined her for the rest of her life
Diet and exercise. Not hard at all.
I loved lazytown so much as a kid, it was a great tv show for children as it teaches kids to stay healthy.

Wait, lazy town had a story? I just thought you just sat there wondering why you were feeling strange in your wiener
Your voice is perfect for these kinds of videos
She was also propositioned by the midgets on the set......
Really wish Macaulay Culkin was mentioned; Pressure from his father to appear in more movies, his father stealing the profit, suffering from heroin addiction, etc. The guy is in a much better place now, but his childhood was really sad

Shame that Sunny had to resort to click-baiting one of his many videos, considering that the pink girl in the thumbnail is not even covered in this video, and a lot of people think she had a crappy life, but in reality she did not
I had no idea Amanda was found roaming alone and vulnerable. Omg. That's so scary. I'm so glad no one terrible found her in that state. Oh these poor people, I wish them all the healing in the world.
@philion made a nice documentary about her life and her life has been pretty shitty according to it.
He played Jim Hawkins in my favourite rendition of treasure Island alongside Robert Newton as John Silver, really turns those happy memories bittersweet
how did him getting blacklisted result in death? i think some steps are missing there 🤔
@@agoogolofgeese Being blacklisted from show business did a lot of damage to Bobby as he didn't find major success in anything he did after being blacklisted and he was suffering from being an alcoholic.

The story about Judy is absolutely insane
Imagine prescribing a young girl drugs and starving her out just for a movie
if Jake Lloyds life turned that way just from one role without even ill intent from the parents (as far as i know), can you imagine what those pageant girls under the abuse of egotistic parents are handling/handled in their childhood?

It wasn’t A New Hope, it was The Phantom Menace
I met Jake at Star Wars Celebration 3, super cool guy, we talked about Jingle all the way. It’s so sad to see how crappy kids can be to each other.
Wish him nothing but the best.
Thumbnailing Julianna Rose Mauriello for this video is clearly foul play. There is no story about her nor would there be any to tell.
Meanwhile, the adults who profited off of them and abused them are living comfy lives
Why is the Lazy Town girl in the thumbnail? Last I heard, she’s living a happy normal life.
There's a rumor about her being arrested. Sunny probably deleted that part of the video because he couldn't verify it but didn't change the thumbnail.
THANK GOD!!!!!!!
The world already lost one part of that childhood and it ain’t ready to lose another!!!
It's what we call clickbait.
Shhhh, don't tell him that! He likes lying in his videos.
"With her estate being worth only a measly $40,000"
I took that personally.
I stopped watching the wizard of Oz when I learned about how the studio treated her and basically turned her into an addict
Just read the original book, no need to watch a movie made by crappy unethical studio for easy money.
It’s a sad trend that seems to never stop.
