I still can’t get over Amy *repeatedly* saying how “traumatized” she was by Will Smith slapping Chris Rock, but was mad that the Oscars cut her joke about Alec Baldwin shooting someone, y’know, something that is actually traumatizing?
The fact that she said "No" when asked if she has ever taken inspiration is such bullshit. Literally every comic takes inspiration from past/present greats. Same applies to music and pretty much everything else.
Agreed. It's impossible not to have taken inspiration from other works. It's called "inspiration" and not stealing/theft for a reason. Audibly scoffed when she said no to that.
And she said no as if it was a ridiculous accusation.. every comedian that has ever been on stage has taken inspiration from the past, how is it even possible to fuck up that bad while trying to clear your name??
The fact that Amy thought a lie detector test would convince us that she hadn't stolen the joke is hilarious considering how everyone knows that lie detector tests are notorious for being inaccurate and a lot of the time, rigged.
The cool thing about Steve-O is that he has been asked several times if he holds any grudges against Amy S. for that waaaaayyyyy below the belt “joke” and he has consistently said “No.” He admits he was actually offended by the joke, mostly because he still keeps in contact with Ryan’s family/closest friends, and knew they would likely feel hurt and saddened by it. He does however maintain that the ‘Roasts’ are intended to be controversial and inappropriate and that he would be a hypocrite if he openly condemned her. She was definitely out of line however, Steve-O was the bigger person by just letting it go. Pretty admirable of him, if you ask me.
It was made worse I think because of how soon it was, not like it had been a long time and people were able to fully grieve to be able to laugh at jokes like that instead it was so fresh and everyone was still hurting so it just felt so insensitive For instance most of us can laugh at 9/11 jokes nowadays but imagine doing that only a week or two after it happened…
@@violetstitch Gillbert Gottfried actually tried that, or at least its "just a few weeks after" One of the audience members shouted "too soon!" which is often credited with the popularization of that phrase
The fact she thought using a lie detector, which courts don’t even count as evidence, to prove she never stole jokes is probably funnier than anything she’s ever came up with.
Lie detectors are only 30% accurate lol. That's why people don't usually use them. I'm betting she knew that and that's why she was so confident about it.
I don't know if she's never faced any REAL difficulties in life. It probably takes substantial willpower for her to look in the mirror and not day-drink her reflection cute or tolerable.
6:56 is just craaazy. Not only did she steal the joke, but she completely butchered the delivery of each line. It completely ruined the joke. Instead of sounding nervous and hesitant, she just blasts through
@therealaintain Abraham Lincoln was president during the Civil War, saying you like Abraham Lincoln is pretty irrelevant to modern politics. It's like replacing "I like George Washington," with "I like Kamala Harris."
@therealaintain Lol, you clearly don't understand. Old politics are irrelevant, and modern politics are relevant and controversial. She made the joke more controversial and political. That's it, all I said.
Steve-O's face spoke volumes. This is a guy who can get severely hurt physically and laugh it off. To see he was sincerely offended and not laughing really drives the point home.
@paulthorpee what a stupid take. "Real conservatives don't get offended". Have someone mocking the death of a loved one and let that slide. I severely doubt that would happen.
You know she was lying as soon as she said that she didn't even take inspiration from other comedians. Literally every person who creates anything was inspired by something or someone and there's nothing wrong with that. If she admitted to that it would have made her seem at least halfway credible.
EXACTLY what I was thinking. Ask literally every comedian and they will be happy to share, from whom or what they got inspired. No comedian on earth didn't take inspiration from other people's humor, ideas, characters etc. And that's absolutely fine, you don't steal anything you just see different things that you like or think are gonna work for you and include them into your own complex style. Not like that "hilarious" shop scene in this video which was just copied so hard it hurt.
You voiced exactly my thoughts, if she said she didnt took INSPIRATION from others, which wouldnt be a bad thing on itself, and poligraph said that was true, then that poligraph test is the fakest thing I've ever seen, thats literally how you create, you trake Inspiration from existing stuff and use it as raw material (not copy just use it as "material) to create your own stuff
Even the most controversial or hated people have a small amount of defenders, but it's quite funny how I've literally never heard anyone say anything good about Amy Schumer in any way.
She's a masterclass in "it's not the joke, it's the delivery". She manages to steal funny jokes and make them absolutely agonizing, almost like it's an art itself.
Just wanted to point it out but it's funny how the title of this video says "How Amy Schumer became the most hated human ever" like were just gonna ignore hitler for an example.
Yeah, I like that take dg gram. Her type of personality. The narcissistic type that can't take anything but can dish it out is so enfuriating. I hate those people most of all.
The biggest issue with Amy is that nobody chose her to be the face of women's comedy. Hollywood tried so hard to make her seem funny even though it was clear the amount of disdain the general public had for her. Her Netflix special was so bad they removed the star rating system on the platform because "sexist men" review bombed it. It was a fucking horrible special, that's why it was bombed. She had an insane ego for somebody who was basically given their career too. I'm glad to see her career fall. Ask yourself this; Have you ever actually *met* an Amy Schumer fan? And if you have, were they a normal functioning human being?
It's a classic identity politics ploy to stoke conflict. You claim to be supporting a group, but choose an undeserving or divisive representative of the group to celebrate. When people point that out, you accuse them of hating the group which causes other people who are missing context to attack them in defense of the group which can ultimately lead them to actually turn against the group. You then slink away slowly while whistling as the two factions fight it out.
The thing I don't get is how no one has brought up her family relation to Chuck Schumer. That said, this is the most disappointing Sunny video yet. It seems way more like a hate video than something backed with research which is what I appreciate. Honestly brings into questions his other videos. This is a video I should've found funny, but it was instead filled with cheap shots. Digging into the stolen jokes would've been better.
@@BoozhiOfficial I noticed that as well, I've noticed it in several of his videos tbh. to me its like 50/50 whether his videos will be a hate piece or actual researched opinions every time i click on one. like with this one, i also dislike amy schumer, but he picked a few weird, flimsy points here. like the photo situation- is it just me or does what the dude said in this clip not conflict with her side of the story at all? its clipped so oddly that you can hardly get what he's trying to say tbh
yes I have actually met an Amy schemer fan and yes they did have a bit more in the up stairs then you might think though she was also very entitled and made jokes that either fell flat (like her chest cringe joke ik) or like at 9:59 they were just not suitable at all and she also boasted about how many men she was with as well like Amy schemer
It seems the Miss Piggy character was modeled on her completely, but that character predates her by 40+ years. I'm willing to accept this as proof of time travel.
I have been seeing signs that Jesus is coming very soon. I feel it in my heart that he is coming back sooner than we think he is, I mean look how messed up the world is right now. Make sure to repent with all of your hearts and pray. I beg of you, please repent hell is such a horrid place to be in.
I have a really funny joke. What do you call a chicken who can’t lay an egg? CONSTIPATED HAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHhhHhHhhHhahahHhHHhahahahahahahahaahHhAhahayahahaayahhaha dude I’m so funny this is why everyone loves me
@Stinko De mayo Only individuals with psychopathic personalities "choose" to be calm on demand. When other humans are put on the spot and must cover a lie, they get nervous INSIDE. Poker face doesn't cut it with lie detectors. And courts don't accept the lie detector results as credibe precisely because of the psychopaths' ability to beat it.
@Stinko De mayo studies have shown that the the majority of people that could pass a polygraph while guilty are narcissistic or psychopathic. No matter what you tell yourself, you have to be mentally ill or damn lucky to keep your subconscious from fucking you over.
@@goldytwatus1674 A lot of people are capable of temporarily believe their own lies to be true. So when they take the polygraph, they can pass it easily because they remain calm and truly believe the things they say is the truth.
The joke about Ryan Dunn was so unfathomably and incomprehensibly evil that it actually made me punch a bowl and now there are lays chips all over my couch and floor.
I really find it funny how these "polygraph" experts says "it's the truth", yet scientifically, it's just how well a person controls their anxiety when telling a lie.
Exactly. It only measures physiological symptoms(heart beat, breathing, sweating, etc.) that *may* show a person is lying. So control those signals of the body, you may have a better chance of fooling a polygraph test(and Amy Schumer most likely has the PR/resources to be coached on how to do this on top of control over the edits/what is aired)
The whole point of the polygraph is trying to recognizing "lie patterns" or identify someone who is trying too hard to "ace" it for their "clean" results to be of any use in their defense. In other words, a polygraph isn't a "lie detector", but a compulsive liar / cunning bastard detection tool. Whether or not these compulsive liars or cunning bastards are actually lying is another deal altogether. Somehow popular media thought this is too complicated and decided to reduce the whole concept into "lie detector go brrrrrr".
@@TRak598 There's also another aspect to it: To scare the participant by letting them believe the machine shows something when in reality it might show the proverbial fuckall. It's easier to interview a nervous target and get them to admit to things because they think the machine saw something when it just plain didn't and the operator lied to them about it in a follow up question.
@@datguy9408 Rogan applies to Schumer as well. She used to hang out with the Opie and Anthony crew, most of whom went on to be successful, so for a long time she was "protected".
I think one the most infuriating thing about her is that she put little to no effort/passion in her work (and steal others work) and yet she has this much succes. She is just lucky to be where she is today and that in itself is flat out unfair for a lot of people that are waaaaaaaaaay more talented yet still work their ass to get just enough to pay rent.
Isn't she related to Chuck Schumer? Maybe I'm misremembering, but if that's the case, I don't think it's luck per se that's got her so many opportunities.
@@MootingInsanity i still consider luck since she was born with good connection. I know a lot of very veeeeeery talented actor who never got their chance to shine simply because they knew no soul in the show business
Certainly doesn't have the heart in the work either, the comparison speaks for it self, the original show's characters tones are brilliant and that's what makes it funny, her recreated sketch is just flat, no emphasis nothing it just boring
I wish that you mentioned the time where she used Ellen's old joke in front of Ellen. On the Ellen Degeneres show. Ellen was left speechless after realising that it was originally her joke
The biggest issue with her "dark humor" is that there is no punchline. None of it is framed as a joke. She just says things that are taboo or maybe off limits and gets more of a shock than an actual laugh. I've seen plenty of funny Alec Baldwin jokes but hers about don't look down his gun was just weird and not really a joke just a relevant shocking statement.
That's like 90% of twitter, facebook and tiktok dark humour. Then they complain saying "you just can't take satire" or "this generation is a bunch of snowflakes". No, dude. You're just not funny. Inserting a stereotype isn't funny. It's what you do with it.
@@adam.n-steve They can't differentiate between dark humor and blatent cynicism. Like OP said. They said things without punchline then get offended when someone think they aren't funny.

Seeing Steve-O’s crestfallen face after that joke is heartbreaking. Like they said, if you’re mean and unfunny enough to kill his vibe, that shit must have been completely uncalled for.
I think one of the most ridiculous things I remember her doing was sharing a fake quote from Trump on her Instagram, when it was later found out to be fake, she literally wrote a whole essay under the post and at the LAST sentence she said something like “it doesn’t matter if the quote is fake, it’s about the kind of person he is.” Like??? If you are trying to show how horrible a person is, then use actual things he said because when you make up information you lose credibility edit: oh dang thanks for the likes guys
I remember her doing a video about her husband having Autism and was blown away on how she presented herself as an innocent angel. Seeing her face or hearing her voice makes me physically gag.
My heart broke when they showed Steve-O’s face. You could see he was very sad. Do you know how off-limits you have to go in a roast for people to be upset about it. That was a low blow and she didn’t need to go that far
I saw him talking about it on his podcast and he was such a sweetheart. He didn't want to throw shade or anything. He said he wished people would leave her alone about it. Despite what he said though, seriously screw her. Lol.
someone else in the comments said he was mostly offended by it because he kept in touch with ryan's family and friends, and knew how much it'd hurt THEM to hear that joke, especially so soon after the death (if someone else could validate this claim it'd be good though bc i am just going off of someone else's comment, not having heard him say that myself)
Her disrespecting Ryan Dunn and Steve-O was where she crossed the line for me. Not only did she make a tasteless joke about Ryan dying and wishing that Steve-O was dead instead, but she also faked an apology to Steve-O after she received backlash for the joke and took it back in a later interview. She also got thousands fans to harass someone (another fan) who said hello to her on the street. She’s a two-faced and ignorant one-trick pony. It’s got nothing to do with her being a woman. It had everything to do with her being disrespectful and trashy. This is not a feminism thing, this is a basic human decency thing.
Oh, shoot... I thought she meant "we were all thinking 'why wasn't it me?'", as a remark about how everyone's just kind of done with life, but no, she meant "why wasn't it him?" So much more vicious, wow.
@@greensabr200 The joke was "i'm sure you were thinking "it could have been me" and i think we were all wishing it was" not word for word but she was saying that people wished steve-o died instead of Ryan. obviously she was joking but still really bad judgement call there.
It was a roast... Jimmy Kimmel made a Chris Benoit joke less than a year after he sl@ughtered his whole family and didn’t get shit. I’m not defending her, she sucks, but in this one particular incident, it’s in the context of a “Comedy Central roast“ where you see the most awful and horrible shit about everyone on stage as possible. You watch a roast expecting low blows and awful, honestly hurtful jokes… That’s the problem with taking those clips to the general public, the general public isn’t prepared for or OK with those types of jokes. Oh no, Stevo got his feelings hurt… So have dozens of other people on roasts through the years. Get over it
“Have you ever taken inspiration from other Comedians?” The fact that she actually said “NO” to what was so obviously a ”Yes” type of question tells you everything you need to know.
@@RGC_animation It's literally impossible to make something that hasn't been at least a little inspired by someone else. Whether its comedy, art, music, writing, all of it starts as an idea that we like and then run with it in our own way. That's why the phrase "Inspiration can come from anywhere" exists.
If the polygraph was real instead of staged they would have left the camera on her the whole time instead of cutting the moment where she answered yes or no...it feels sketchy asf when they cut to her face as if her original answer wasnt convincing enough
"Have you ever taken inspiration for a joke from somebody else?" "No." Oh shit, she independently arrived at standup comedy without ever hearing it before? She really is a genius.
2 cannibals are scouring for food in the apocalyptic wasteland where they come across the remains of Amy Schumer. One of them asks “does this taste funny to you?” The other one replies with “no”
The whole point of telling self-depreciating jokes is so that you can tell harsh jokes without hurting anyone. So… what’s up with her repeatedly mocking someone’s death?
2:27 I don't think the fact that she was on Fox News that one time is a significant negative point. I watched about half, and she makes good points, and is entertaining. Young Steven Crowder was there too.
it was a negative point because she has been open about hating conservatives and that Fox News is awful. she has openly said any media that even allows a conservative or republican on it, is not a respectable source and are lying. it was a gotcha moment when she was constantly posting about her hate for the opposite political party and then people found out her career basically started on Fox News. is it a negative point in general? no. is it a negative point because of how she treated any media that had a conservative point on it? yes.
Steve-O has since forgiven Amy for that joke and actually defends her when people bring it back up. He's definitely a lot more forgiving than I'd be if someone joked "why couldn't it be YOU who died, right?" to me, that's for sure...

I felt so bad for Steve-O, you can immediately see the sadness in his expression when he hears the joke. For a while I thought I was the only one that hated Amy Schumer.
It's a recurring pattern with her understanding of comedy, she doesn't get the timing right. The old saying, "tragedy PLUS TIME equals comedy." It's the kind of joke you can make work A) not in front of the guy suffering B) years later when the dead person was like a rock star at the time of death and the friend has devolved into a public embarrassment. Otherwise, you're just unable to empathize with people (which I have no doubt is applicable to Amy).
Steve-O is the stuff of legends. Went from being an insufferable douchebag drug addict to a beloved storyteller and comedian. The guy's an inspiration for anyone struggling with addiction. "Have you ever taken inspiration for a joke from somebody else." Every other comedian in history: "Absolutely. I get inspiration for jokes from just about every person I meet. When I first started out, I would emulate [childhood favorite comedian], and I'd try to joke about a lot of the same subjects, but after a few times being up there, I started to really come across with my own rhythm and style, and started just talking about things that I found funny in daily life. Some of the funniest people I know are just regular guys I hang out with, and I get ideas for jokes just hanging out and joking back and forth with those guys all the time." Sociopath: "[breathy] No."
This. It would've been perfectly fine for her to say she was inspired by other comedians. That's really one of the main ways to grow in life is to model your craft after and look up to those who are better than you in whichever field you're in. But 1:1 copying of jokes & especially skits is 100% trash.
Also to be fair, a lot of the vanity fair interviews have pretty elaborate answers. As long as they ultimately give a yes/no, they let them give detailed responses.
Therefore the fact that the polygraph said she wasn’t lying during that question (which obviously was a lie because how could you even be a comedian without even a little inspiration) makes you doubt the entire test/video.
Bro i feel so bad for Steve-O man he has been through so much and has turned his life around just for a "comedian" who looks like a 40 year old trucker with 8 kids to make fun of his best friend who had just died she deserves all the hate imo that she gets.

I'm not interested in other people's sex stuff. It's grouse.
Humanity has its differences. We've had good days and bad days but in this day and age, the ONE THING that unites all of us is the hate we share for this woman.
You could see the energy drain from Steve-O's when she said "oh we wished it was you". What a horrible thing to say to someone who lost their friend prematurely. Steve-O probably had those thoughts and hearing someone say that is really shitty
jokes are about timing and she got neither. That was so awful to say to someone who is grieving their dead friend. People need to stop giving her air time.
amy's "roast" to steve-o makes my heart ache... the poor guy just lost a close friend and she mocks his friends death TO HIS FACE, what made her think that was okay??
Privilege. Also intense hatred for men, and I don't mean in the joking feminist "male tears" way" either, like she literally, clearly has nothing but contempt for half of the gender binary. We've all met these kinds of girls before, we've all known them in high school. I'm a woman and even I can see it. She's no different than them, the prime example of a funny popular blonde girl who peaked in high school and came away with nothing but entitlement and contempt for anyone who isn't like her.
Not to mention the “joke” was basically just telling him he should have died instead of his friend like wtf is wrong with her im surprised Steve-O didnt just get up and leave

Amy Schumer got a cooking show a while ago. Her fame is basically nonexistent in the Netherlands, so after watching an episode of bad cooking and jokes that made me retroactively less funny, I looked up what the heck her claim to fame was supposed to be. Let me tell you, the moment I read that she’s a comedian, I felt my soul vacate my body.
Fun fact about the Steve-o joke: Amy was just supposed to be a writer for the roast. But due to a few recommendations she was asked to be there as her "big break" of sorts. Imagine being given a huge opportunity like that you do that to the man. Mad respect to Mike Tyson for yelling what we were all thinking. Edit: Mike Tyson yelled, "F*CK YOU AMY!" (Put it here cuz not everyone has seen the full clip) Also Bill burr isn't silent about political views. And yet he's very respected, why? He isn't a hypocrite. He doesn't go around acting like he's morally superior to everyone because of his politics or anything of the kind. And most importantly, he calls out the bullshit on both sides of the spectrum. Amy Schumer on the other hand acts like she is morally superior to everyone and is this big feminist and equality type person while she degrades her own gender (in a bad way) for poor jokes and treats men like they're worth nothing. She uses feminism and other political tools for her own advantage (like how she wanted more money for her Netflix special) but in reality she doesn't care. She acts like she's all for diversity or is an open minded thinker but resorts to virtue signaling when called out and hating on those who don't align with her political views. Her comedy would've been fine (not good) if she wasn't such a huge hypocrite prancing around like she's the most moral person ever and everyone else is just "a hater" or "troll"
Sometimes you can just tell certain things about certain famous people. You can tell that her success is largely due to others who just pushed her up and up regardless of if the actual audience likes her or not. This is usually the case when you come across celebrities who are just plain unlikable yet still continue in rising popularity. She was definitely one of those. Also a low key misandrist.
I remember watching her at the Oscars and she made a joke about how Leonardo DiCaprio was constantly showing up to then with younger and younger girls. I thought it was really funny, I was impressed. The I remembered that it was actually Ricky Gervais who made the joke first. I can't believe she passed a poly
You really believe that poly? Televised on a tv show? The very way in which that woman says "She's telling the truth" convinced me she's just paid them off blatantly. 😂
They arent perfect. U can get around them they dont magically tell lies. Ur body just gives off signs like heartbeat changes, sweat, and other subtle body movements that give it away. With a lot of self control im sure someone could lie through one. Especially if they were prepared like her.
I don't think it was real. Besides, it's ridiculously easy to pass one. Especially if you believe your own bs and/or have access to calming meds. I feel like an EMDR therapeutic session would've been more reliable as a "test".
That poly wasn't real that's for sure. Plus the point of a poly is not reeeally to get the truth there. The magic in a poly lies in the way it stresses you, then when you're done you are comfortable telling the truth. The way it's presented in popular media is not the way it's actually used in real life.
Its sad, but thats actually common in women now Its not super common like youll see it a lot just randomly on the street, but common enough to be noticable
@@dragonborn4405 I'd argue it's common in not just women but all over. Regardless of gender, creed, or sexuality. Double standards and hypocrisy seem a lot more common nowadays, all you have to do is check some people's comment/post history. In a world of many different senses/types of humor, it is actually impressive how Amy Schumer manages to come up with jokes that absolutely no one finds even remotely funny.

Just because you personally don't like her it doesn't mean she's not funny. I for one think she's one of the best comedians around. This bullying campaign against her is stupid and excessive and only serves to bring out the worst in people. I have reported it for bullying of Amy, and I hope it gets tken down.
The fact that she said "no" to taking inspiration from other comedians is what makes me laugh the most. I guarantee you ever comedian has taken inspiration from another comedian, that just shows she was clearly lying on purpose lmao.
yeah, this is even true in pretty much every creative career and every form of art, one of the more common ways people use to get ideas is looking at what other people have done. It's an effective way of getting the ideas to start flowing and is useful even if it's just to see what sorts of stuff works and what doesn't. Perhaps she was telling the truth, but more so because she has no inspiration ever rather than just not taking any from seeing other people's work. She certainly doesn't seem capable of having inspiration with how she keeps repeating the same jokes all the time and never bothers to come up with new ideas.
Her saying that she's never taken inspiration for a joke is absolutely insane. I'm not a stand up but I've written a ton of sketch comedy and done improv and written a handful of television pilots and like, that's just how shit works. It's a totally normal thing as a human being to be inspired by things other people say and do and to insert them into your material. That's literally just part of the creative process. And the super self-serious look on her face during that polygraph is hilarious.
One of the biggest things I learned early in my writing is that nothing is truly original anymore and to twist it in a more original way. It's just how things are
This Woman represents a lot of Hollywood and how entitled and just how detached Actors are from the real world (hence why when they preach their message so much it’s mostly met with eye rolls on both sides).
The fact that she even said "no" to having drawn inspiration from anything for her work, just has to be a lie. It's not wrong to be inspired by something, I'd go as far to say that every artist has some form of inspiration that their work is based on.
Beethoven's 5th symphony was inspired by a bird tweeting. Unless someone crawls out of a cave never experiencing human contact, then starts creating something... they're influenced.
Mel Brooks has said hes drawn inspiration for the movies and jokes hes done over the years from when he was a kid. No one thinks less of Mel Brooks (one of the Gods of Comedy).
"I would literally take a polygraph" That... doesn't mean anything. Polygraphs are pseudoscience. Their findings, even under ideal circumstances, are vague. You can cheat a polygraph in quite a few ways ; the easiest two are the following : 1) Remain calm and steady, don't think about the future, just focus on your breathing. They're going to ask you a few cursory questions to gauge your body's vitals when telling the truth. If your signs don't change when lying, then the polygraph will say you're telling the truth. 2) If you can't remain calm, become agitated, and keep yourself agitated. Think about the future, stress out, worry about the next question -- make sure that your vitals are all over the place even when you're telling the truth, that way nothing will change when you're lying, and the polygraph can't tell shit. People need to stop believing lie detectors are real. Polygraphs are bad tech that gets used not to get the truth out. More often than not, police that uses polygraphs will intentionally act more aggressive during probing questions to spur a change in vitals for that specific question, and then use those results to point at the person being guilty. Polygraph results mean NOTHING.
the only useful way in which i’ve seen polygraphs be used is in the case of Chris Watts, where one of the detectives told him “the coolest thing about this is, right now, there’s only one person in this room who knows what the truth is, and in about 5 minutes, there will be two of us” and other incredibly intense yet clever statements that amped up the pressure so high that Chris felt he had no choice but to confess to part of the murder. after that they had permission to arrest him, so they could uncover the whole truth (which was that he killed both his wife and children, and not out of self defense)
There's a 3rd way, only lie. Literally do not say the right answer to even "is blanken blank your name?". If you're not answering honestly, the machine won't know what "your truth" looks like so to speak
@@thesleepydot Exactly. As Matt Orchard characterized it in his video essay on the device, it's a prop. It might as well be a shoe box with hand-drawn knobs and dials on it. It's only as effective as the recipient of the 'test' believes it to be.
"Have you ever taken inspiration from another comedian?" "No.. I'm the first human in history to not be inspired by those who came before me in my field. I pretty much invented comedy".
Funnily enough the one thing liberals and conservatives generally agree on is that Amy Schumer isn't funny. People can joke about whatever they want, but they can't then complain when people don't like their jokes. Freedom of speech goes both ways. You're free to tell jokes and we're free to say we don't like them. That goes for all comedians, be it tame or edgy. Bothers me no end when people say "you can't joke about anything anymore", when you still can, what theu fail to realise is disapproving voices have a louder voice and a bigger echo chamber to yell it in. Comedy has the same rules it always has, it's just easier to have your opinion heard now.
I remember when the Netflix controversy happened and my first thought was “Chapelle and Rock are two of the most successful, best and influential comedians ever.... she is a moderately successful comedian who hasn’t the fan base or the legacy to be paid the same rate as the other two.... if she were against two male comedians that were similar to her in success, fan base and career length then yes she should be paid the same... but those two are legends”
Yeah I noticed some of us are born lucky... I was born broke so I couldn't afford to watched her so I'm super lucky I feel like. I feel bad for all y'all rich ppl that had to suffer thur her specials
“Have you even been inspired by another joke?” “No.” That proves it then, if she’s never been inspired to write a joke then she must have stolen all of them
I worked at an airport where I once had to escort Amy Schumer to her private flight. She didn't say a word, but i didn't think anything of it. She honestly looked like she had just woken up and was carrying some sort of small dog. I don't know why I started writing this comment. The pilot of the flight gave a sweet tip, though!
I watched it not knowing who she was bc I was young at the time, the movie is literally her gassing herself up, even my young brain was like this is trash
If ever there was a non-animated movie about The Muppets, she's a shoe-in for Miss Piggy...hardly what I call attractive. I would get alcohol poisoning before the beer-goggles even vaguely started to work.
honestly yeah, I came up pretty good too, but damn if you asked me, or anyone else on the street if they wanted 11million, we'd be like hell yeah, talk on a stage for an hour or two and prepare the material to the quality of hers? ill do that for 11mil
One rule with Dark humor: do not make a joke of a very recent event or something personal unless you know the other person is ok with it like Pete makes jokes about his own dad.
even if someone makes a joke about their own personal issue, never think it’s okay for u to joke about it too. that’s rule # 2 bc ppl don’t understand boundaries
Dr. Eric Grospitch got his degree in Wokeism from Twitter and is currently one of two people who are a fan of Amy Schumer with the other being Amy Schumer.

Steve-O is always smiling and laughing and is a pleasant soul. When you see Steve-O stop smiling and just look flatout disgusted, you know you done *fucked up*
Just a reminder: polygraphs are not reliable tests of whether someone is lying. There are examples of Amy's joke theft even worse than the skit parallel used in this video.

The cool thing about Steve-O is that he has been asked several times if he holds any grudges against Amy S. for that waaaaayyyyy below the belt “joke” and he has consistently said “No.”
He admits he was actually offended by the joke, mostly because he still keeps in contact with Ryan’s family/closest friends, and knew they would likely feel hurt and saddened by it.
He does however maintain that the ‘Roasts’ are intended to be controversial and inappropriate and that he would be a hypocrite if he openly condemned her.
She was definitely out of line however, Steve-O was the bigger person by just letting it go.
Pretty admirable of him, if you ask me.

The other cool thing about Steve-O is that he has a cool ass rescue dog I believe from South America and a cool ass story to go along with it.
It was made worse I think because of how soon it was, not like it had been a long time and people were able to fully grieve to be able to laugh at jokes like that instead it was so fresh and everyone was still hurting so it just felt so insensitive
For instance most of us can laugh at 9/11 jokes nowadays but imagine doing that only a week or two after it happened…
even Roasts have some level of social decency involved.
@@violetstitch Gillbert Gottfried actually tried that, or at least its "just a few weeks after"

The fact she thought using a lie detector, which courts don’t even count as evidence, to prove she never stole jokes is probably funnier than anything she’s ever came up with.
Assuming she even came up with the lie detector
Its even funnier when you realize that polygraph answers were cut off at times because the answer was probably that she was lying
She did it for show and anyone smart enough can tell it was edited.

EXACTLY what I was thinking. Ask literally every comedian and they will be happy to share, from whom or what they got inspired.

And then you have people like me, I have anxiety telling the truth, or just talking. On a bad day I could probably set off a polygraph just sat there
@@tomhewitt8017 who asked?
The whole point of the polygraph is trying to recognizing "lie patterns" or identify someone who is trying too hard to "ace" it for their "clean" results to be of any use in their defense. In other words, a polygraph isn't a "lie detector", but a compulsive liar / cunning bastard detection tool. @@RGC_animation It's literally impossible to make something that hasn't been at least a little inspired by someone else. Edit: Mike Tyson yelled, "F*CK YOU AMY!" (Put it here cuz not everyone has seen the full clip)
Also
Bill burr isn't silent about political views.

"I would literally take a polygraph"
That... doesn't mean anything. Polygraphs are pseudoscience. Their findings, even under ideal circumstances, are vague. You can cheat a polygraph in quite a few ways ; the easiest two are the following :
1) Remain calm and steady, don't think about the future, just focus on your breathing.
@@gregorysroka727 but they will know you're name. That's why they use test questions they already know the answer to.

Exactly. As Matt Orchard characterized it in his video essay on the device, it's a prop. It might as well be a shoe box with hand-drawn knobs and dials on it. It's only as effective as the recipient of the 'test' believes it to be.

Yeah,im glad i didn't know about amy schummer, because she is HORRIBLE
@@tuelzalt broke gang 😎
“Have you even been inspired by another joke?”
“No.”
That proves it then, if she’s never been inspired to write a joke then she must have stolen all of them
Ikr? Besides, everybody has their inspirations and comedians is no different. I mean, who motivated her to be comedian? Herself?

Finally it's here
I worked at an airport where I once had to escort Amy Schumer to her private flight. She didn't say a word, but i didn't think anything of it. She honestly looked like she had just woken up and was carrying some sort of small dog. I don't know why I started writing this comment. The pilot of the flight gave a sweet tip, though!
The movie “I feel pretty” isn’t her acting, that’s literally how she sees herself
I haven't seen that movie just because she's in it.
I watched it not knowing who she was bc I was young at the time, the movie is literally her gassing herself up, even my young brain was like this is trash
i saw a trailer of it once. now i'm blind and trying to learn Braille
@@kyles5513 literally same, I think the movie would've even done better if ANY other actress was in it
If ever there was a non-animated movie about The Muppets, she's a shoe-in for Miss Piggy...hardly what I call attractive. I would get alcohol poisoning before the beer-goggles even vaguely started to work.
I've worked in retail for ten years and the idea of somebody complaining they only got paid $11 million for something is just--I cannot--
It’s hypocritical given her political stance.
Do you use retail as a full time job, or do you have to have other jobs? I'm wondering how viable retail is as a career choice.
11 million for one hour of her time.
honestly yeah, I came up pretty good too, but damn if you asked me, or anyone else on the street if they wanted 11million, we'd be like hell yeah, talk on a stage for an hour or two and prepare the material to the quality of hers? ill do that for 11mil
She's an activist from a rich family, she wanted to whine about "muh patriarchy" much more than she needed the money.
One rule with Dark humor: do not make a joke of a very recent event or something personal unless you know the other person is ok with it like Pete makes jokes about his own dad.
Fr its just tasteless to joke about a tragedy that recently
even if someone makes a joke about their own personal issue, never think it’s okay for u to joke about it too. that’s rule # 2 bc ppl don’t understand boundaries
@@yea0000 i think you can joke about it but only if you have consent from that person
@@loiteringrambler1268 even then there’s way better options for jokes to make.
Ye thats why 9/11 jokes are funny and jokes that are directed at technoblades cancer is not. The key to it is time.
Dr. Eric Grospitch got his degree in Wokeism from Twitter and is currently one of two people who are a fan of Amy Schumer with the other being Amy Schumer.
There are plenty of hilarious women comedians/actresses; Lucille Ball, Carol Burnett, Chelsea Peretti. To try and put Amy Schumer in the same league as them by even calling her a comedian is an insult
Great examples of amazingly talented female comedians.
2 out of 3 of those is correct. Amy Poehler and Tina Fey are missing.
Joan Rivers
You forgot Dame Edna Everage.
Kirstin Wiig is hilarious too. I love Peretti. She’s also so beautiful! However I haven’t seen a stand-up from Wiig, or Poehler.
Steve-O is always smiling and laughing and is a pleasant soul. When you see Steve-O stop smiling and just look flatout disgusted, you know you done *fucked up*
Steve-O is lol 😂
Even Mike Tyson shouted : "FUCK YOU, AMY!"
"The last time this many nobodies got roasted, at least the band Great White was playing." - Steve-O
If he stops smiling in general, *you've fucked up irreparably*
Oof! Now there's a good dark joke. Holy shit!
Just a reminder: polygraphs are not reliable tests of whether someone is lying. There are examples of Amy's joke theft even worse than the skit parallel used in this video.
for real, i feel like i recall seeing a minutes long compilation video with multiple examples of her joke stealing a few years ago. wish thatd been emphasized a bit more here but anyone whos heard of her probably already knows the extent of her joke theft anyway
Yeah, they’re surprisingly easy to cheat
@@bigmac92especially when you're already a lying, stealing psychopath like Amy, does anyone really think she couldn't beat that.. I mean??
You only have to be very comfortable and calm or believing that you are right/have nothing done wrong to beat the Detector.
@@TK-ui2th doesnt even touch the amount dennis leary stole. He also had multiple 15 minute compilations on youtube, that he had removed long ago. Before people got outraged about it when schaub began his crusade.
I just LOVE how the jokes she steals come off as smooth before she steals them, but once she steals them it's akward.
P.S. I can't BELIEVE she made a joke like that 9:23 timestamp.
"One stolen joke is a mistake. Thirty stolen jokes is an Amy Schumer special."
I don't remember where I read it, but it's the best take on her I've ever seen.
It's a Robin Williams joke, which he stole from Richard Pryor, which he stole from Lenny Bruce, which he stole from Bob Hope.
