Wonderful video, thank you brother. my husband and I are members of a WELS church after being in church of christ and non denominational. My husband comes from pentacostal... Lutheranism has truly helped secure our faith. I fear we may have shipwrecked without such a solid church!

@@Bearthowlemew that’s fantastic to hear! We need more modern American Christians to hear Christ gifts of true justification and Sacraments.
My mom was Pentecostal and my dad was Baptist and my Presbyterian uncle was the one who recommended them to go check out a local Lutheran Church! And after hearing the true protestant Gospel, my parents decided to convert to Lutheranism and have me and my siblings all be baptized as infants.
I’m thankful for my 19 years of being Lutheran! And I’m glad to hear your story!

I’m reading this for the second time, because I need to hear the Gospel over and over again. Thanks for this video.

By Word and Sacrament, we unite our preaching of God's Word with our practice and living-out of God's Word. Excellent interview!

When I saw the title, I thought you were going to address the gay flags on the churches, the female pastors, and how no pastors call out the rampant divorce in the country. I can understand disagreeing on the way to do baptism, because the details of what it does and how it works are not explained in the Bible. It seems like a reasonable position to me that maybe baptism doesn't mean anything if the recipient doesn't understand what it does. So, I would not argue about whether to baptize babies or not. But the Bible is very clear in literal language about homosexuality, female pastors, and no-fault divorce. I would think if a church blatantly disregards these very clear teachings, then it is not a church. That applies to most "churches" in the USA. The fans of LOTR and Star Wars have more respect for their lore than most "Christians" have for the Bible.

Wolfmueller's book was about how Americas theology became backwards, going back to the days of the great enlightenment, and how Christians ignore the true blessing of Christ's physical presence in the church and holy sacraments.
But I should definitely have Pastor Wolfmueller come back again and talk about the errors of the modern liberal church and how it's destroyed the core basics of God's law and gospel.
      Thanks for watching, friend!

The errors of liberalism in theology are present throughout the world, not just the US. Practically all mainline churches in Europe and Australia affirm homosexuality, women's ordination, etc.
Wolfmueller's book focuses on the effect of American religious movements on the American church as a whole. The great awakenings and things like that. Not the worldwide liberalism problem.

Let me meddle again in your conversation, gentlemen. You see, gentlemen, where were your conversations about the spiritually of the words of Jesus before the election of trump? Weren't you all, Christians, involved in the political fight to elect your candidate to the presidency, and suddenly... after your success in the political struggle, wow, you start again with the part that Jesus commanded: don't mix the affairs of god with the affairs of man. I am tired of the hypocrisy of these men of god of any color and size.

Christianity has failed because it's god and salvation are pathetic fantasies.
