Lots to potentially comment on with this one but I’ll hit 2 points. Vlogs are awesome. Quite often you have a guest with a unique kill and the ability to put up pics is great. 2nd, before I had a debilitating accident I golfed a lot with 3 friends. Friendly wagers were involved but we absolutely rooted for and lifted each other up every time. Always rooting for someone else’s success is a sign of a genuinely good person. Keep it up and good luck with the surgery.

I did all that also. Acl, completely torn. Partials,on the mcl, pcl. Plus meniscous. That meniscous for me was the setback. Ligaments are ready for rehab quick. I still get week moments like when i snow ski and something catches my toe. Running is out since im near bone on bone. Cycling a couple thousand miles a year has been my go to for my cardio.

I like the vlogs personality and the giveaways are pretty damn sweet! It seems like everybody with a pod is doing audio and a video. I like having the ability to choose either one. Some days I'm super busy and can only listen other days not so much and I can watch them. Good luck in your recovery. Doing a great job Dan, love what you do!!

The whole knee thing really grabbed my attention.
I hurt my right knee at work. Miniscus tear, mcl sprain. Two different orthopedists said surgery was not a good idea because of arthritis in my knee. 3 months out of work and lots of physical therapy I’m still having pain and can’t hike on it very hard.
Now I’ve got major pain in my left knee. I can barely walk. I fell in the mountains, stepped into a hole and went down hard. I have a ortho appt in a couple weeks and I just want them to cut it open and fix it. Whatever it is. I’m an electrician, up and down ladders all day, the pain is unbearable. I’m panicking because there is no way I can continue working like this let alone hunt. I feel like i can’t get doctors to take me seriously. It’s pretty amazing you tore the acl and were able to recover to the level you did without surgery. I’ll be following along.

Hockey player my whole life and still play once a week, im only 33. Mechanic for past 10 years….my knees are always bothering me but ive never really got them checked out because it was always my shoulders from hockey. Lots of Dislocations on the left one, grade 3 AC joint seperation on the “good” one 2 yrs ago that was prob worst pain ive ever felt i think which is saying something. Almost scared to get my knees checked but i think i definitely have a meniscus tear on the left one, it randomly gives out once ina while. I feel your pain, being in the trades but it sucks since thats what we know. And if we cant hunt or do other things too thats just the dagger on top. Hope you get it right!!

Would love to do the chub challenge but I don’t know if doing the dishes counts even though that gets me out of breath and sweating for several days after treatment. You got this bro. I’ve had both of my ACLs reconstructed from sports injuries. Word of advice listen to everything PT tells you. My last surgery doc told me I wouldn’t be able to walk or run without a limp again bc of how bad injury was. Today I’m the only dad that’s in shape and able to keep up with my kids while I coach their soccer teams bc I busted my ass in PT. It’s all mental, you’ll be back in mountains in no time.

Dan please listen to your PT. Get a PT that’s hands on and will help. I didn’t listen to mine and regret it everyday. I tore my acl, lateral miniscus and miniscus. I didn’t listen and now I have a limp and hurt everyday. I started working to get it back but it’s twice as hard now. I got really close with the Lord after my surgery which is great. You got this man with your fitness. Gods great!!!

Your channel has been a huge inspiration for us! Do you have any information you would be willing to share about some public land whitetail in Texas? We are complete novices, but we are more excited about this journey than anything else we have done.

I taught martial arts as a hobby for years, tore my right ACL, medial meniscus, and partial tear of my MCL. Completed my fight season, then had surgery. Cadaver ligament provides least invasive procedure, quick healing. It’s been nearly 20 years now and all is well! The meniscus tear is a different story! I wish you the best, rehab hard, but smart and don’t be afraid to push yourself, you won’t retear the ACL.
