Following this young man for the last 7 years has been such a great privilege for me! I can't believe that I'm fortunate enough to be alive during this time in history. My mother passed away just a few months before I discovered Dimash!I wished so much for her to have experienced him in her life!!!! My heart is broken because my mother would have been overwhelmed with something so beautiful and to take to her grave. Hi! Dimash sang this song first in "The Singer", a Chinese tv show. That performance is very special because he was ill, no voice at all the day before the perfornance. He said he was very nervous but when he began to sing his voice was there, although he was in pain all song. And after finishing it, his voice dissapeared again.
It is not so epic like this one, but I think it is even more emotional because the pain and the fragility was there in the maximum: his own pain and the boy's too. People cried in the audience!

And one detail that makes Dimash so special as a person: although he definitely was in pain and worried about his performance, the first thing he said arriving to the set of the show were kind words of encouragement to the other contestant that was in danger of leaving the show... Who does that?

Pausing every 20 seconds utterly destroyed the trajectory of this song and performance. I've read his explanation for this new, most unwelcome, policy. If that's the future going forward, I will regretfully have to pass.

It's his voice and his face what is telling the story 💔 He became the little boy and was living all the story for real because that's Dimash. Han Hong called and spoke to him about him singing her song. I cried then and still do every time I listen to him sing Daybreak.

I went to your playlist and did not see how you reacted to this song when Dimash performed it on Singer 2017. Perhaps I overlooked it. In any case, when he sang this on that show he was quite ill. They had to take him to the hospital the day of the performance to get injections in his throat because he had lost his voice. On Gloria Wu's channel, she does the backstory and shows Dimash's trip to the hospital. The doctor said he is his idol. Even though he was sick, he still gave a wonderful performance.

“Daybreak” - At his first concert in Bastau: This song tells the sad story of a Chinese boy (Quon Yan), who along with his family, suffered a cable car accident in Xingyi city in Guizhou province, where many people died, but the boy's parents held him up with their hands and he survived, though the parents died. The song was written and composed by the boy's adoptive mother (Han Hong) and Dimash sang the song for the first time in Mandarin on “The Singer 2017”, but he had a sore throat and sang through injections. The doctor said that if he sang high notes, he would never sing again... He sang! Then he made this wonderful version, already cured, at his show in Bastau!
