And an completely crazy duet with Victor Ma a Chinese rapper singing of all things MJ's Earth Song (the whole thing should not work but man, it does! )

The song, Drunken Concubine is from a Chinese opera, and Dimash was the emperor, and Li was the concubine favorite that had earned the death penalty and was having a last drink with the emperor before execution, I believe..
So Dimash combines aliens and emporers into .....the WOW factor.

Li Yugang: Ancient Chinese tradition prevented women from performing for men at the Old Opera House in Beijing. From this tradition came a style called “Nan Dan” in which the man plays a female role in the Beijing Opera. One that was a restriction, today turned into culture and the greatest exponent of this culture in China is the singing and performer Li Yugang: Who created his own theatrical play (Who toured the world in 2015) and released several CDs (successfully of sales) he won 4 Denny award in Beijing.

Great reaction, Carl. You weren’t expecting that, were you? Li was singing the part of the concubine in the traditional Chinese Peking Opera style, which, in the old days, all parts were sang by male singers, so they were trained to sing female voice/character. Dimash was singing the part of the emperor. Then when they switched to the Diva Dance, it became a sing-off, like who can sing better, having fun. Then they merged back to the concubine/emperor singing conversation and did you noticed that Dimash took the higher of the last note? ❤ You made my day. I really enjoyed your many expressions, especially the “Excuse me?!”😊

The "style" of Li YuGang is very common in China. A few years ago, as an opera fan with more than 200 'Western' operas that I have watched and heard, I was keen to witness a real Chinese opera - in China. These two really did defy the "East is East and West is West but Ne'er the twain shall meet" adage, which is so true in most social settings. (I am a Westerner living in the East). I think they worked hard together to achieve this seeming conflict of blends to entertain us. Carl, a very interesting explanation for us to understand how it happened. From confusion we resolve to 'fusion'. So often most of us DEARS are asking ourselves, "what did I just hear"?

😂😂😂 “This” is Chinese traditional opera, specifically Beijing opera recitative. Li YuGang is a star of Beijing opera and composed this modern poppish version of the classic The Noble Consort Becomes Intoxicated (sorry, can’t stand bad translations). I actually wrote up the story it refers to, as part of a collection entitled Favorite Stories from China, the doomed love story between Emperor Tang Xuan Zong, the Bright Emperor, and the famous beauty Yang YuHuan, better known as Nible Consort Yang. Dimash sings the part of the emperor, and Li YuGang that of the consort. The lyrics are so beautiful and haunting, apparently spoken today, between the spirits of these ancient souls.
