    No routers, no domino's, no epoxy, no noise and no dust. Just good old planing and dowels. I love it.

      Did you miss the parts where he used a table saw and router table, or the circular saw with no vac attached? But I do agree with your sentiment I think. It's nice to see someone blending hand tools and power tools without all the trendy hype stuff. Just whatever's simplest to get the job done well. And the lack of talking excitedly to the camera is refreshing too, but still with the information in subtitles.

    Absolutely magnificent, it will be some family’s heirloom. Incredible craftsmanship, and what a blessing to have access to such sublime wood. He did not lose his temper when the nearly finished leg fell to the floor from the bench.

    It’s refreshing to watch you work. No wall of clamps worth more than all my tools, same lunch box planer I use. It helps folks like me realize we can make beautiful things with what we have. That a $1000 Festool track saw isn’t needed for these kinds of results.

      Thanks so much Jeff, it's always tempting to save up and try to buy the expensive stuff, but it's important to question if you REALLY need it... IMO you rarely do, it's just more convenient. You can build an awful lot with an awful little if you are patient enough. Thanks for watching!

    I like it I'll use a lot of this on mine. I've already done my chairs in walnut and this matches really well. I really like how well maintained your tools appear to be, all your planes look sharp and well cleaned!!!! Good Video, Thanks Again.

    Nice... very few fasteners an a lotta hand work. Love the simple lines. Love that you are not jabbering all the way through it. Love the bits where you are dropping things and making fun like we all do:)

    Gotta love screwing something in from the back like you did with the bracers. Youve eyeballed and checked the depth to make sure it wont burst through the face edge but you always give a little rub to make sure afterwards anyway. Heart in mouth.

    Gorgeous table, simplicity is the essence of elegance. I am about to embark on a similar project using mahogany, which is more affordable but harder to work with due to grain structure. Thanks for posting!

      Mahogany is cheaper than Walnut? I had no idea. I only use lumber from local logs I take to the sawmill, so I'm completely out of touch on lumber prices. Btw are you using African or South American Mahogany? Cheers!

      Good luck on your project! Yes I used mahogany for my hand tool cabinet and boyyyy it was frustrating to work with at times. At the end it is worth it though, such a beautiful wood!

It's nice to watch someone take the time to work with wood the old fashioned way and turn out such a beautiful table. What you do takes skill and patience. No hurry...you get there when you get there. It's a great life lesson that you obviously take to heart (centering after watching the leg disappear off the table...🙂).     Aside from building a beautiful table, your production quality is top notch. Your use of closed captions to provide additional details throughout the project was brilliant and made it that much more enjoyable to watch in my opinion. I hope more woodworkers see this and follow suit. I’m fairly picky when it comes to who I subscribe to, but with absolutely zero hesitation, you just earned one more follower. Excellent job man!

    Good to show the offset draw boring method when pinning the legs at the mortise and tenon joint. Often misunderstood but good old traditional joinery and it has a purpose. Nice job and outstanding traditional woodworking!

    Absolute beautiful table and elegant video. Just started a pair of shaker nightstands. Similar classic Shaker style/shape, much smaller but with a drawer.

    Great vid. Beautiful table. Would suggest considering finishing both sides of top to help alleviate cold and warm weather stress on unfinished side.
