Thanks Myke also uses lines so you're off to a good start, whe you're ready to jump over I have so many more videos to share with you that are not on UA-cam 👍🏻
Hi Frank, I'm using the Elimadent V3 lamp which as standard is fog but it comes with a clear lens so i added some lines to the lens myself. check out 'Coachline Pin Stripes' on Amazon I use 3mm black stripes
Yep its the drivers side, passenger door, so the passenger door that's on the same side as the driver! Thanks Wayne I'm glad you like them I will keep on making them for sure!
Its the Elimadent V3 and yes I added the lines myself, I like to check my work on the fog and also lines and have two wider lines in the middle and tighter lines to one side for the fine details! I added the lines with some adhesive pin stripes or styling stripes available online :)
Question, I just did some PDR on my stainless steel refrigerator door. Had a good pull, not too much of a high spot, there's just some very fine details where in the correct light, you can see slight imperfections in the finish. Would a flat head tap down smooth these out? What do you think the best tip would be to get it looking flat again? Great vids, subbed!
Hi Richard thank you for your comments and also for your question. I'll admit my experience on refrigerator doors is limited but yes in theory you can use tap downs with smooth tips to remove high spots and also tension aka crowns. With the initial dent in the door there may have been some tension created surrounding the dent, this tension needs to be released either by tapping down before the glue pull or once the low is lifted, depending on the dent and the success of the pull. Its also possible to pull the metal to high with a pull in which case we can tap down the high until level, does that make sense? One thing you will need to be careful with is not to damage the finish in the door as I imagine its brushed steel finish so may not be easy to polish up or rectify the finish if it gets scratched or marked, so make sure your tap downs are smooth and clean and you do not tap too hard to create small lows that may be difficult to lift.
Not really sure what you mean to be honest, are you referring to the reflection moving from the vibration when you're tapping? if the lines show a high and you are tapping down the hign then the lines should move as the panel reforms it shape?

why do the lines keep moving when i try tap down
