RIP Mark. You will be sorely missed.
Rest in peace big man ,what a legend
Mark Lanegan = perfection.
spot-on, Martha
Martha Langston I agree with that sentiment wholeheartedly.
me, too!
For sure!
You can say that again!
One of my favorite voices in rock.
Same!
Ditto
I know....
Just finished his memoir "Singing Backwards and Weeping"❤🙏
Rest in peace Mark. Your music and life have touched many. His musical skills and drive to create sounds will be cherished for generations to come.
Whaaaat? I can not believe 😢😢 no it just can not be true. I just ramdomly went to listen this and then i saw comments, you will be missed and rest in peace and I just can not believe... rest in peace one of the most amazing artists and singers...
Mark, goodnight. Thank you for the memories. Privileged to have seen you about 25 times in 21 years in your various guises. Love you brother. We were gifted.
Yes..the long goodnight...sweet dreams i hope...he deserves
Mark Lanegan commands respect. When he sings, we have to listen to his music.
We don't have to, but....something....keeps....us....from....turning...away!
I have seen that in big venues.
He starts singing with just an acoustic - the entire place just shuts up and listens.
The grunge era was incredibly tragic and to have Mark stick around as long as he did and have him age like a fine wine is really such a treat.
I was fortunate to meet him last night. He has got to be one of the nicest musicians I've ever met. He looks intimidating but he's so humble and sweet.
Wow...can u tell us more about ur meeting ? Ive seen him 3 times at his gigs twice in london and once in amsterdam when i confiesed greg dulli for trent reznor...very enjoyable
I consider myself fortunate to have seen him live 4/5 times, met him a couple times, and i totally agree with you Xanic, true words.
From Queens of the Stone Age to discovering his solo work, to discovering he collaborated with Isobell Campbell (adored Belle and Sebastian as a kid and always loved her voice), Mark Lanegan slowly grew to be one of my very favourite singers. There's a magic authenticity and deep raw being from the soul we always got from Mark.
This one hurts, as much as Chris Cornell or Anthony Bourdaine.
Rest Mark, your music will live on and we are all blessed to have had you with us.

RIP Mark. One of the greats...
What a performance man. 2 fantastic guitar players and Mark’s voice, just pure perfection. RIP Mark. We’ll miss you..
"I Am the Wolf" - just incredible. The sonics give me chills and the lyrics are pure poetry.
Couldn’t agree more
Dude, it's SO intense right?! You said it...incredible! That particular song just does something to me.
Agreed. I heard alot of lyrics in it I hadn't before listening to this performance
Soooo f.. good... and yes, that song do something to people :);)
The best twenty one minutes and twenty six seconds I've spent in awhile. Just gorgeous
I agree so much with you. I've just been keeping coming back for years and seemingly can't ever get fed up. And, apart from how much I appreciate Mark Lanegan's art, I must tell that I love you, Cheryl. :D
Yes
Already one week since he's gone and I can't still believe it. RIP Mark Lanegan 💔
Oh noooo, i m so sad😭. Love you Mark🖤🌻🌻

Your taste in music is impeccable - I *love* Nick Drake...will you marry me? 😁
the goosebumps I get during the judgement time are deep. "Just a strung out angel" hits me pretty hard as I can totally empathize with that lyrics. RIP Mark - what a reserved, chill dude he was
Rest well Mark. I hope heaven suits you
You don't know what you got till it's gone. RIP 🖤 🙏 🖤 and God bless your immortal soul Mark
Peace at your soul, Mark.
Rest in light, Mark 💔
Now you are the wolf
High, wild & free.
I love you.
Although Mark's performing solo here, I'd just like to take a moment to mention that his band Screaming Trees didn't get the recognition that they deserved back when they were still an active band. Not that they didn't get any (they were, after all, amongst the first of the "grunge" bands to get picked up by a major label), but they got overshadowed by everyone's love for the "big-4" (Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, and Alice In Chains).
One of the under-appreciated gifts that his band had was Mark's voice. While he didn't have anywhere near the vocal range that Chris Cornell had, nor the emotional and visceral energy that Kurt and Layne had and Eddie had and still has, his voice has a depth, fullness and warmth in its low and mid tones that none of the other vocalists mentioned had -- that voice has only gotten better with age now that he's a couple decades into his solo career.
agreed!
I used to think they were unappreciated and unsupported by their label, but I think they were limited a lot more by their internal issues. They never got along. Mark's own anger issues and addiction were a big part of it. So glad to see him healthy and making music now. His book is well worth reading.
@@josh0g after reading Lanegan’s book; I would lay blame at his feet. When they got signed; he was pretty much donions. His addiction was his only concern. I feel for his bandmates. It would be interesting to get Homme’s takeon things.
I don't know all the background, etc. But it was as if they weren't marketed well. I can't even think how many times I listened to Sweet Oblivion, but it was only that album. Never really listened to later albums. Going to dig a bit in their discography.
@@Seether1975 'Dust' is amazing also. There is a superb posthumous record of unreleased material intended for an album before they split, called Last Words: The Final Recordings..
RIP. You were the best.
RIP for this amazing person. He will always stay in our hearts.
he has lot more fans from India too...we salute him proudly by heart
My heart is broken.... 😔😪😪 Sad news....... Rest in peace.....
Since the time I heard the news, this constant, imperceptible sadness has flooded my every brain and soul cell ... another giant that made our lifes better, that soothed out our darkness and made it possible for us to conciliate with everyday living departed and left us again alone...
So long my dear friend ... you 'll be living as long as some of us will whisper your songs in our difficlut times ...
I feel the same
The guitar playing is fantastic! "I Am The Wolf" really does it for me. Great dynamics.
What a sweet soul. Man, Lanegan opened for Nick Cave?!?! Doesn’t get too much better than that. 🙏❤️
The good days are getting dimmer.
Thanks for your music Mark... really helped me in very difficult times. Good trip
Same here. Something about that guy.
R.I.P.🖤
RIP Mark. Hope Mother Mary embrace you and let you right in. You dedicated her a beautiful song.

Mark, I know you are in a perfect place now. No pain, no sadness, no emptiness. You are now pure love and light. You are greatly missed.
Can’t believe he’s gone 🥀🖤
So glad this is here to rewatch forever. Spent countless hours listening to his records and he will live forever through the music and words he gave us. RIP Mark.
Who else wants Mark back, it really sucks he is gone. His words and music are beyond amazing and people will look back and realize how talented and amazing he was. RIP Mark. If you listen to his words its like he is singing his story to us, beyond sad and happy at the same time. A true artist to the core.
Thanks for it all, Mark. Thank you.
Soundtrack of my life
I love this man.
Great guitar work !..I think this is the best sound for Mark songs
Mike Johnson on solo acoustic (backing Mark) is also perfection.

Love you Mark
His voice is heart and soul wrenching 💖

Lanegan for President.
That campaign would bring out some serious skeletons out of closets.
rest in peace brother... rest in peace.... im so sad, it's hurt
The guitar tones blend together so well
Beautiful, just love his late work. Saw his last and only concert of 2020 on UA-cam earlier today, but it's gone! an exquisite performance, his wife also on vocals, such a strong testament, I'm surprised someone would remove it. Hope it reappears. Thanks Mark your experience and humanity was in your poetry and in your voice. Sorry you suffered so.
Is that gem gone? Listened to it in awe yesterday. Let's hope it's gone because it is going to be released....
Where was the show?
I went looking for the same video. Why is it gone. ?

Rip Mark. 💔
What a beautiful recording.
Rest In Peace Mark Lanegan
Mark was such a dark star, burning bright. Gone, but never forgotten.
there he goes, one that lived
mark has one of the most amazing voices i ever hear it...
RIP Mark :-(
Thank you for everything Mark!!!!!
RIP
Incredible artist and performer, super cool guy. We're lucky.
Gentleman! Pure Class!
R.I.P Mark 😓
Rest in peace Mark.Barcelona t'estima!!
I'd love to see an entire album of just these 3 guys. Maybe a double album. All just vocals and exquisite guitar work. This is excellent.
He has a great voice but, maybe the most relevant thing is how he uses it, I mean, the technical skills, sustain, etc. I discovered this today and wow, a great band. The rest of the musicians are exceptional so, as a result is a great band.
Luis A. Munoz x
Right, isn't he one of the most underrated vocalists out there? He has a hell of a voice but it really comes down to how brilliantly he interprets music and how versatile he is which is a whole another story in terms of talent. I find him outstanding.
I love You Lanegan and I was floored to hear you went over the hills.
RIP legend!
It goes without saying that Mark is an incredible artist but man... Isn't the lady lovely?
Grande Maestro !!! You inspires our music, thousand thanks Mark!!!
I'm in love with Cheryl Waters.
RIP, Mark 😢
"I am the wolf" is so good, the lyrics are just amazing.
Rest in peace, Mark.
Lots of fans in Brazil! True!! He did 3 concerts here, all different and amazing.
RIP Mark
please, pretty please, don’t ever take this one down… please! ❤️
Rest in peace, Mark
R.I.P. Mark Lanegan. Too young to have left us. You leave behind an incredible musical legacy. Anthony Bourdain must be ecstatic; he was so obsessed with your music.
Rest in peace Mark. Everything is spinning down here and listen to your music for better times. We'll miss your voice.
I know the feeling, his voice it's like a really comfortable place in this fast and chaotic world. May he rest in peace.
The new guitarist, Jeff Fielder is a really cool guy (met him after the show here in Budapest) and I love his guitar sound! Great player! =)
+Bence Borbás he is Seattle's best kept secret! Check out his work with Sera Cahoone.
+Josh W Thanks, I will!
The keyboard synth guy was amazing, he has been playing with Mark for years but I don't know who he is. He was easily the hardest working musician at the show :-) He played guitar on about 6 songs. Awesome show in Sydney
he really is!
Supporting Mark from Argentina!
From Portugal! I saw them back in 2015, in a small bar! Too epic!
Oh yeah
Thanks for all the great music Mark, rest in peace
RIP Mr. Lanegan - Off to the Center of the Sun.

Good journey, Mark! Your music'll remain in our hearts. Rest in peace.
