    An absolute beautiful machine! This is the one I've been following for a while. One day I will fly in the AG915.

    Thank you for the update. I talked to Craig in Texas this week and he is getting close to completion on his AG915 build. I am going to to see him and the AG915 in mid-September. At that time we will discuss my plan to move forward with my flight training and purchase of my AG915. I am really looking forward to it. I really like the Centurion model you showed in this video. Thanks again for everything you do, Paul E Dulin from Texas

      Yes, Please do. I would love to see where all the controls are and explaination. explaining the instruments that comes with them in the standard models and the upgrade options. Was talking to a friend yesterday about his new transponder he bought for his homebuilt light aircraft and he was telling me he can buy a GPS that interfaces with the new transponder so his GPS will give the location of other aircraft and the altitude. Amazing feature that would really up the game for flying around the DFW area.

      @Jerry Moody The Rotax 915is and all the parts alone is 45-50K. So that is a good chunk of it. We are working hard to do anything we can to bring the cost down. It is too bad it is out of reach for so many people.

    • @AirgyroAviation
      @AirgyroAviation  5 років тому

      @Jerry Moody Ya, it is difficult to swallow. We have used some other engines, but haven't figured out any that give the same power for weight that also has the reliability. So Rotax pretty much has a monopoly on the light sport market unfortunately. We have worked with some other engine manufacturers, like a rotary engine one that showed some promise, but ended up having a really bad experience with them.

    Ese modelo tiene la mejor cabina. En Málaga reconvirtieron uno parecido en ambulancia.

    Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. You have a great machine with 6 major positives but also 4 nagging negatives:
    6 MAJOR POSITIVES:
    (1.) Side by side seating;
    (2.) Best flying gyro with lowest stick shake;
    (3.) Rotax 915 monster engine for ultimate runway and climb performance;
    (4.) Very roomy lovely interior;
    (5.) Great visibility with lower fuselage up-front windows to see runway;
    (6.) Good accessibility to work on the engine.
    4 MAJOR NEGATIVES:
    (1.) 2 big "sewer pipes" sticking out of the back of the fuselage to hold up the tail; uglier than sin and definitely needs to be covered up with some attractive "composite glam."
    (2.) Big black hydraulic 'garden hose' going up to the rotor (pre-rotator) that's uglier than sin and needs to be covered up with some attractive "composite glam."
    (3.) Strange looking "bicycle brake handle" attached to the stick that looks like a goofy, cheesy and cheap add-on afterthought. Remove it and make another kind of activating device and locate it somewhere else;
    (4.) No experienced established dealer network to provide sales, builder-assist, training and maintenance follow-up and support.
    In other words, people buy for emotional reasons, not necessarily logical or practical. You're going to have to put some lipstick on this pig and turn it from the 'red-headed stepchild' into a promising 'prom-queen'. Autogyro has 3 drop-dead gorgeous 'prom-queens' but they have a few 'personality issues' that could make then less than desirable. But they do have all their ducks in a row when it comes to builder-assist and dealer support. If you made the suggested changes as outlined above , sales will dramatically rise. Re-sale value for this aircraft as it stands now I would not think, would be particularly good. IMPORTANT: Listen to your potential customers...good luck and motor on!

    Nice that you have ONE cup holder on the right side of the console. Need on more for the pilot (left seat pilot only here). Let us know when it is US certified and pre-rotate up to 320 RPM as is the new Cavalon and I will be your customer. Limit runway here on the property so need lots of pre-rotation and power for short take off distance. Keep working on it, will be watching and waiting, or not.

    Fact: Gyro-copter (autogyro) works. Simple fact, it can fly.....
    What is less clear, mystique apart, is HOW / WHY this is more 'fit-for-purpose' for ANY other flight system?
    Fixed wing aircraft have a specific glide-ratio, most newer powered Helicopters can 'auto-gyro' in an emergency....
    This craft is essentially a glider with a one-off, delayed-stall facilty, at the cost of huge control inputs. Why would anyone bother?

    • @AirgyroAviation
      @AirgyroAviation  5 років тому +4

      There are a lot of reasons people would bother..... It is the cost of a light sport airplane, and can fit into that category, they are easy to fly (like an airplane) but have a lot more maneuverability and visibility, they have the free rotating rotor (helicopters can do this in emergency, but there are more limitations - hight, speed, and a lot more difficult,) and they are really fun.

      @@AirgyroAviation Thanks, what started as a dig has become a learning...
      Well said, it answer's my question.

    • @AirgyroAviation

      @@almostbutnotentirelyunreas166 Thanks for the kind response! We are definitely aware that different aircraft are better for different things. Gyrocopters will really only become mainstream if they get commercial certification, or an inexpensive and safe way to do vertical takeoffs. Without those, they are really fun machines that have a place, but probably isn't for everyone! We really like them though!

    • @df3yt
      @df3yt 4 роки тому

      @WanderAbroad I agree mostly we except for stol. I have yet to see a gyro have a short take off. You say fixed wing doesn't come close. Look up some bush planes. Even lighter ones like the beaver will come close in landing.

    Please correct me if I am wrong in my comments. Here goes.
    This person, along with the manufacturer, are incorrect in the description of this gyro ! !
    This IS NOT a gyro-plane.
    Where are the wings ? ? ?
    I sure didn't see any ! !

    • @AirgyroAviation
      @AirgyroAviation  5 років тому +3

      Thanks Ivan, ya dan, they are classified as Gyroplanes in the US. I think it is because the rotor acts as a rotating wing since it is not powered during flight. Pretty interesting machine!
