- Nepenthes are a type of carnivorous plant know as tropical pitcher plant. Nepenthes veitchii is an amazing species endemic to the island of Borneo! I love the shapes and colors, especially that flared, tall peristome! I wanted to show you the variability and beauty of my most favorite Nepenthes of them all! Enjoy!
Proud to know my family discovered this plant (: Its named after the Veitch family from Scotland.

Hey Dominic, a follow up on the Veitchii I bought, it's throwing out many leaves but no pitchers at all, temps is 32 day 23 at night, humidity day 60% night 100%, growing in a sphagnum/perlite mix, I just have no idea why no pitchers are forming, any ideas are much appreciated, cheers Alan

Dude, love your videos and your enthusiasm. I am a windowsill grower in NW England (Manchester). All your pitchers seem so full of water. Is that the humidity, or fogging, or what?

Thanks Gabriel! I use double layer of poly with a layer of large bubble wrap in between. I use 4 dr. infrared greenhouse heaters to heat!

Do you plan on selling cuttings from any of your squat veitchii?
I always wonder with your greenhouse. Do you go around and hand feed each plant or do bugs just ocassionally get in and fall into the trap

SIU CHIPING 85 in the day and 55-65 at night depending on summer or winter:)
Do you fill the Nepenthes with rain or distilled water?
Do you keep the soil always moist with rain\distilled water?
Try to feed it,it might just lack nutrients
