I have one, an N. veitchii Bareo, BE-3734 from Carnivero and I’m eager to get more cultivars. It’s still very young and hasn’t shown its tubby pitcher yet but it’s getting there. :) I love how hairy this plant is from its leaves, stems, new pitcher tendrils, and of course the pitcher itself.
@@Wiseexotics I got mine at my local society show and sale from Carnivero. I belong to the Bay Area Carnivorous Plant Society. It was a bit spendy but it was a potted medium sized plant. The longer I have it (and now with it's first new pitcher) the more I fall in love with it. I totally want a couple more veitchii for sure. :) Some of yours have had nice leaf jumps! My next leaf/pitcher is already looking like it'll make a nice jump. :)
@@pinecone.jeff.carnivores I'm also part of bacps 👍😁, I saw carnivero booth but nothing called to me 😂. Leaf jumps are great , I hope the k1xm2 pitchers again , I think it grew to rapid imo, but maybe soon new pitchers 👀
I got veitchii fever! I mainly grow highlands that have teeth or are unique (ie: Aristolochioides, villosa, Robcantleyi, bongso, and I’m trying to germinate two toothy Nep hybrids). But I keep seeing these amazing striped and flared veitchii so I just pulled the trigger and bought 6 seed grown veitchii from carnivero! I’m excited to see the stripes! I’m also looking at the veitchii “B” from red leaf but I bought a LOT of plants the past two weeks (Trusmadiensis x Villosa seeds, Trusmadiensis x macrophylla seeds, and 6 sg veitchii). Im thinking of buying it in a week or two. Then I’m gonna TRY big emphasis on TRY to take a break from buying plants.😂
Yea I think the Veitchii fever sets in eventually 🤣👍. I have 2 B's from red leaf very good traits 👍. I really want to grab an Veitchii a from them eventually. Veitchii just have so many grex types and possibilities 😂❤️
Hello. I have a seedling of N. Veitchii candy red x candy red and it has 3 small pitchers now but none of them has stripes. Is it possible that there are stripes in next pitchers, or my seedling is a "no stripes" clone although both parents are candy red? Thanks a lot, I love your work!
Good question, Veitchii are sneaky and genetics 🧬 expression of stripes are a bit of a complex thing to explain. Typically breeding two stripes parents increases the odds for stripes on offspring. But due to genetics crossing it's possible some won't just due to mix n match nature of the parents genes😔. However! Veitchii are also very sneaky so some don't show stripes (in various intensity) till they are fully mature. As was the case for pink candy cane at carnivero , one of their favorite breeders 👀. So it's not impossible for it to simply be a late bloomer. 😀. Usually seeing stripes when younger is a good sign they will continue into adulthood. Lighting spectrum and intensity as well as habitat climate are also factors of the pigmentation. So keep that in mind 👍

This is my favourite species... but I don't have a spare $300 to spend on a small seedling!
Depends who and what grex valiant series from predatory plants is 25-30$ 😂 and carnivero has some for 30-50$👍
@@Wiseexotics In Australia it's a different story
@@australiancarnivores carnivero does shop international 👀, but I do understand that import shipping fees are costly
@@Wiseexotics Importing plants from overseas is illegal here, so we have to rely on the few people that have Veitchii in Australia
