Dr. Amen is a scammer. A SPECT scan is how he gets away with charging you $5,000 for something you don’t need. SPECT scans are useless for the identification and treatment of psychiatric disorders.

How much are the scans. Does insurance cover it?

Last I checked in ballpark of $5k. Not initially covered by insurance because its a private clinic. At best might be able to submit to insurance after fact for partial coverage. Its rolling dice unfortunately. Seems worth it though if have the money.
