I disagree with the asshole rule, because look at people that are abused or traumatized held captive. They’re not assholes. The asshole is the one that’s keeping you captive for the abusive person.!!! The body keeps the score so I would say that abuse makes you more probable to have dementia if you stay in isolation!! so you’re not an asshole that’s the person keeping you captive!!!

Walk somewhere...preferably at an ambling pace, and pick up and examine seashells, flowers, leaves and rocks and marvel at their beauty and individuality. Read a devotional book. We all stand before the Lord someday best not to have taken his name in vain. Amazing how people just use the name Jesus Whenever they wanna make a point use as some form of exclamation. Read the apostle Paul, who talked about physical has some benefits, spiritual eternal benefits. I'd rather stand before the Lord and yes I did drink some alcohol, coffee or tea or smoke, but didn't take his name in vain. I do call on his name for eternal salvation for there is no other name.

study showed that coffee consumption can only affect gray matter volume and does not have an effect on hippocampal volume- take what all these experts say with the pinch of salt dudes, for every well researched “scientific” opinion there is an opposite position. Also id like to add we talk so much about living longer and avoiding those things that impact our health negatively that we forget that it’s the QUALITY of your life that’s important not how long you live, being a morally upright person and assuming noble responsibility and doing good by others is what really matters not just living a long life with good health granted that helps of course in order to be a upstanding human being it helps to to be healthy for longer but it’s not vital. We need to speak more about what makes a good person and a good citizen more than focusing on diet and habits around long term health.

We need teachers not bad examples of satisfying your cravings or addictions. A healthy mind leads you to good choices. You can live a long life and still be healthy. Mostly poor decisions lead you to poor health. A clear mind will lead you down this road and with that clear mind one will be able to assist humanity and overcome the health tragedy (the toll of suffering) occurring because of the conspiring minds of people in the food and pesticide industries.

Your view that the two are the same is supported by the fact that many "alone" people are really lonely but deny it. Those who truly enjoy their own company to the exclusion of all others are rare and probably extremely rare so it would be difficult to get an accurate reading of their long term brain health prospects. My conclusion based on many decades of experience is that aloneness and loneliness can indeed be very different.

Basically I’d make sure of this double habit where I can have coffee for certain things like productivity. Coffee half life is that once consumed it stays in ur mini adrenaline blood flow for another 6 hours. Hence sorting out the time of ur usual / normal bedtime make sure it’s before 6 hours the time u drink coffee. I’m an introvert, went thru a lot analysis by being a coffee person. As a person myself coffee is like a nitrous oxide in a car. Depends on how steady & focus you can be but you can’t stop fidgeting at certain time. And also it’s a hyperactive stuff for certain people. I noticed a lot of stuff by minimising to all the way quitting it until further study noticed & learnt. I’ve learnt that I’ve become more aware of my thoughts, surrounding, and avoided any negative energy from a person in family to improvising my own self care rehab. This method is very good for those who had nearly exploded in anger at certain time of their lives or of any explosive minded people. An ideal method if intending to be careful around close loved ones. Though, I still treat myself sometimes once a month with coffee otherwise hot chocolate.

Caffeine has vasoconstrictive properties, like all stimulants, meaning that blood vessels narrow to restrict blood flow. This is why it can be so effective at treating headaches. Big blood vessels tend to cause friction with nerve endings. Too much blood flow = pain. This is why swelling and inflammation hurts.
Caffeine withdrawal causes headaches. And now you know why.

You'd want to delay coffee intake for at least an hour after getting up. Coffee blocks adenosine, that's why you experience "the crash" when caffeine wears out, it's the adenosine rushing into the brain after caffeine blocked the receptors. Also, addiction is a game of the mind, like with quitting smoking: the addiction to nicotine is gone by day 2 or 3, but the mind.. you have to teach it. So, if you're convinced you need the coffee, then you need the coffee 🤷‍♀

Hemp seeds have more omega 6 than omega 3 which is a significant problem.
Chia seeds and flax seeds have more omega 3 than 6.
ALA doesn’t convert well in the body compared to EPA & DHA
None have anywhere near the omega 3 of oily fish.

Made the switch to decaf a few months back. Was finding I was really struggling throughout the working day and felt exhausted all the time. As a result I was guzzling cups of coffee in order to get some energy, which now in hindsite I can see it was the coffee making me feel poorly. Since reducing my caffine intake, I feel a noticeable improvement in my energy levels and concentration. Saying that, I very occasionally do get an espresso to feel that initial caffine buzz. Then back to decaf again the following day.

Basically, any dopaminergic product is going to mess up the brain (and I think they also make us mean). I learned by trial and error that if I'm not learning something new all the time, my brain gets depressed. If I don't put it to work, it turns on me.

As far as I understand, gum diseases do not occur on their own. They are associated with gastrointestinal chemistry issues, excessive bacterial growth, and other intestinal disorders.

Huberman knows certain amount of caffeine is fine. don’t drink too much just enough dose to help you focus for the task ahead which is 30 minutes from when you consume caffeine

Being an asshole helps alot not being lonely, if you want to be lonely try being different, or bullied by an asshole !

    • @JoeOG
      @JoeOG 2 місяці тому

If you want to be lonely, over-identify with how different you believe you are from other people and don't take responsibility for healing yourself from unresolved trauma.
It sucks that you were bullied. But if you let that be the narrative for why you are lonely then it is a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Assholes are lonely, even if they amass an entourage of shallow friends. The reason they are assholes is because they are cruel to themselves, They can't connect with themself and therefore can't connect with other people, only manipulate and hold them hostage.
You see yourself as too different from other people and can't connect to them because you don't understand yourself and the light that is inherent within you. you cling to your darkness as the only part of your identity, because it gives your ego some stability. It's safe. It's comfortable. It gives you an excuse to not connect with others, because you are afraid of the pain again.
But you are so much more. ❤️

I'm sure there's merit to living a joyless life without a cup of coffee or the occasional glass of wine. Personally I choose to be more worried about poor diet (ultra processed foods, high sugar, artificial ingredients etc), inactivity and obesity. I am more alert now after a year of weight loss and exercise than I have been in decades.
