Hey, physicist here answering Julia's question regarding the terminal velocity of ham. Some back-of-the-napkin calculations suggest that the terminal velocity of 3.5 lb ham would be approximately 52 +/- 18.7 meters per second (the error on that is pretty large because of the uncertainty in the cross-sectional area and the drag coefficient). Y’all starting the episode with the sound Julia makes when their food arrives during the stream!!
She first made it during the New Yorker episode. It was a call back to that :)
The animated Heathcliff was one of Mel Blanc’s final vocal jobs.
I wasn't ready for "Sting is coming for your hams" and now I need to clean spilled coffee of my desk.
And then the follow-up with Julia's ham-Sting puns. I need a refill.
And *then* discovering Roxham in Karina's render.
Karina's little "up?" at the begining got me!
The fact that the bottom color thing for their avatars moves at 3:16 when Karina grabs it is messing with my head
Its just a popup window for the selection tool that happens to have a similar color
Okay, how was I not aware of the comedic brilliance of modern day Heathcliff comics?? I just went on a deep dive, and the sheer bonkers absurdism is just primo! (I mean, yeah, sometimes dude just has a robot)
Every drawfee member would make a fantastic mech comic and it doesn’t matter if they’re squishy or round or not like, Michael Bay level of details and angles. They would be cool as hell.
drawfee mech comic speed draw episode
Each one of them should write one mech comic, but draw a different mech comic, round robin-style.
I love that Karina did add a ham on a building in the background after Roxham
I actually read a lot of the original Heathcliff as a kid, and he was already pretty obscure by then. It's so neat and surprising to see that he's still remembered and appreciated!
I always love when they put things in their renders that don't make sense until later in the episode
Karina is queen of doing this, she knows how good it is
