Nobody asked, but I'll tell a long story that has stuff in common with Nathan's joke: it was a very public joke only one person (me) was sure to understand, more people understood and appreciated it, there was one chance to pull it off, and it involved Fall Out Boy (in fact the same album too). In my country, we have this school dance type thing, only not at all since it's not a party but a show. Only the juniors dance, to celebrate becoming the ruling elite of the plebes once the seniors are gone, and it's formal dancing with ballgowns and all, and they practice for it all year. Then they tour local schools and old-age homes and dance for the kids and grannies. There's a special show in the evening where all the parents and friends and relatives are invited, and at that show the juniors will dance a special number they have choreographed themselves to a medley of songs of their choosing, usually the meme songs of the year and some top 40s. Well, my sister was one of the choreographers, and she made her whole year learn the choreography to the awkward nerd dance from the Dance, Dance music video, which had been no longer relevant for a decade or more by then. They copied the whole scene from the point where the nerd ends up in the center of the floor, with the unpopular class nerd playing the part of the nerd, too. It was AWESOME. I still don't know if she told the class what it was about. She told me later that the class nerd also became more popular because of his lead role (which warmed my heart because he was only unpopular because he was very shy and kept to himself, but once they lured him out of his shell he flourished) her whole year was unified in the process, and she gained back some of her self-confidence since she wasn't used to being listened to by her peers. I cried when it happened lol. It still warms my heart, all the effort she went to to pull it off.
Misinterpretation/wrong idea challenge! One person describes a character, (pre-existing or otherwise) and it's the artist's job to follow that description as wrongly as possible. They can use homonyms, take descriptions super literal, "mishear" them as similar words, or anything else; so long as it relates to the original description as loosely as it can. For those of you who didn't get Nathan's and Karina's references at 19:03 and 19:51 it's the song "Sugar, We’re Goin Down" by Fall Out Boy. The lyrics they're quoting are: "We're always sleeping in, and sleeping For the wrong team We're going down, down in an earlier round And sugar, we're going down swinging"
I've seen this video before, but have zero recall of Karina's entire section. The most logical reason is I unconsciously built a solid mental block around that part of my memory to protect myself from the trauma. Loved it, great work!
I gotta say, I am very sad we didn't get to see Julia's interpretation of a dark stock photo. We need a sequel where Julia draws three photos chosen by Nathan, Jacob, and Karina. (jk I know this would be taxing lol)
Julia's descriptions make my eye twitch. LOL. I sit here going "what are you talking about?!". I freaking love it. These damn videos get me through my work days. Patient Nathan, and Jacob & Karina vocally high fiving each other's jokes. Perfect!

I'm like 90% sure the first guy is eating ramen out of the top hat and from the top of his head. Top Ramen.
Suggestion: Before the episode, everyone designs a flag. Then, each person gives a flag to someone, and they have to draw someone who lives in that country/place, inspired by the colors/symbolism of the design. It can be anything from futuristic cyberhell or ancient kingdom! Also, please get Jacob and Nathan to try to pronounce "vexillology."
This sounds like an epic idea
This ! This is amazing.
This is a great idea! I cant even begin to imagine how bonkers some of the drawings could get XD
This s l a p s
I would love this as a speed draw episode 🥺🥺
SO... I heard the description of the "unnatural" "Uncomfrotable" amount of pillows. I looked up, and I saw Jacob's version of that... Then I saw what Julia DESCRIBED as that...
And both versions had wildly less pillows than I actually sleep with, every night.
I came here to have a goodtime, but I feel attacked, rn.
Please draw film noir birds. You would totally nail the aesthetic and the puns. Rain, dark alleys, cynical ducktectives and there's got to be a henne fatale of course
you know those fluffy as fuck pigeons?
widow in a flowy nightgown who is _so_ sad her husband was murdered, utterly torn up, would you like something to drink-
Just happened to refresh the page and now I’m happy:)
I had to go to Twitter to get the link my UA-cam would not updade
Karina’s piece looks like a My Hero Academia villain who’s quirk is “fear change” which means he can change into what his (or hers I guess) opponent fears most, but they’re so bored of everyone’s phobias
That’s the plot of It
If Julia has a nose-out approach to drawing, Karina has a cursed-out approach
drawfee mentioning and then immediately dissing whovians just a bit after i start getting back into the show is very funny to me and seems like a sign from the universe. to keep watching the show.
Karina went so hard on the background of her image and it's exceptional.
Karina's "face down, pelvis up" absolutely slayed me. I don't understand how there was no reaction.
I like that stock photos are at times artistic, depicting scenarios that most people haven't even seen in existing fiction
Suggestion: Draw “Random Word Generator” Witches.
Ended up getting ones like ‘Virus’ Witch, ‘Medal’ Witch, ‘Detective’ Witch, ‘Laundry’ Witch, ‘Guitar’ Witch, and ‘Cheese’ Witch.
Just sounds like a fun time. 😊
Cheese witch is what i have for lunch lmfao
i second this
This would be great, you can make an anything witch!
I got ‘Iron’ Witch, and I think that’s just a FMA character that’s perfect for Julia.
Lovev this idea!
“because the way that the human body goes” has enough sass to rival “you know what a rectangle is?”
18:00 Julia gets to "do you know what a rectangle is?" to Jacob. Karmic payback!
“I’m not going to sit here and draw a bunch of leaves for you ma’am” *paints entire beautiful forest scene in the render*
For those of you who didn't get Nathan's and Karina's references at 19:03 and 19:51 it's the song "Sugar, We’re Goin Down" by Fall Out Boy.
The lyrics they're quoting are:
"We're always sleeping in, and sleeping
For the wrong team
We're going down, down in an earlier round
And sugar, we're going down swinging"
Perfect!
the phrase "superwholockian" coming out of jacob's mouth actually activated my fight or flight and i wasn't even in any of those fandoms
Darksided stock photography is the best concept I've ever heard of
Jacob DID NOT blur that alien, Karina better be losing her shit.
You should design characters based on desserts with weird names, like pandowdies, tiny raspberry fools, grunts, and eton messes!
Thank you Karina for the "face down, pelvis up" joke because it was what I immediately thought.
You guys are by far the greatest drawing/comedy channel I've ever watched
You guys are the best!
There was an awful lack of slight blur on Jacob’s alien.
YES I AM SO DISAPPOINTED
And lack of Pillow Guy.
They joked about Nathan's drawing being a ubiquitous thing we've all seen before, but for me it actually is. I once got super high and doodled myself eating instant Ramen while Cthulu ate instant Ramen out of my open skull, so for me, this was an INCREDIBLE experience.
“For the wrong team” was legendary, thank you nathan
Suggestion: Reverse Bone Game. Take fictional creatures (Pokemon, Digimon, etc) and draw what you think their skeletal structure looks like.
suggestion: drawing animals based on their collective nouns (gaggle of geese, murder of crows, etc)
murder of crows? sounds terrifying lol
Just give the collective noun, like "a Parliament" and have them draw a group of animals that would fit the description
"Don't be sad, what are you wearing?" Is the most unfortunate come-on I've ever heard, and it made me laugh more than I should've.
Artists Draw Blorbo From Their Shows!!!
everyone's got a little guy from a form of media who they care about deeply, and i would love to see your interpretations of them (this is another excuse for a fan art episode while not under "dur-less")
And maybe... Scrimblo too? :D
Highly in favour of blorbo
When the second stock photo always revealed, I had to take a moment because my immediate thought was “Eww that looks so uncomfortable” followed immediately by “Wait… shit, that’s the position I’m laying in right now, isn’t it.”
It is indeed, with the minor exception that my face is pointed downward.
HONESTLY! All the stock photo episode PLUS that one with Zach Anner and his "bad" movie plot describtions are my FAVORITE ones!!!
Just 2 words: CAT SNAKE!
i for real had just woken up and was watching the 2nd stock photo video, then looked at my notifs and saw this gem of a video. thank you drawfee for knowing when i've watched 90% of your content already.
I’m so curious about what Karina means by ‘editing ghosts into Polaroids’. She mentioned it on stream but couldn’t show it because they are personal. And now I wait wondering what it means
Can you double expose polaroids?
Because I used to do that thing with lo-fi cams where you can get cool ghost pictures of people by double exposing them over random scenery, maybe she means something similar?
@@Terreur_rose you can. At least on modern Polaroid cameras it's a dedicated function.
@@Terreur_rose hmm. Sounds like that might be it. Thanks for helping with my strange question
I'm proud to announce that the horror clown is now my new lockscreen background to protect my phone from potential thieves.
Not even through Nathans drawing and I can see that this episode is gonna be "Julia verbally tortures 3 artists into making her dreams"
"His elbow is on the table."
"Nope."
Followed by the creation of the Behind-Man's horrible arms was really something to behold!!
Suggestion: you should try drawing Discworld characters that you've never heard of! There are so many incredible characters, and I'd KILL to see Nathan draw the Librarian! Other characters include such gems as Nobby Nobbs, Magrat Garlick, and the Hogfather!
These are my favourite books, and I think they could always use more love 🥰
GNU Terry Pratchett
YESYESYESSSSSS! Nathan drawing the world's best orangutan librarian would be PERFECTION.
@@zigorously Shhh don't give it away yet 😂 Nathan's just so good at apes!
This, omg yes! I'd love to see how they'd draw the Golems, Susan, or Mr Teatime 😄
Heck yea, I need a Karina render of Nobby Nobbs in my life!
I bet Jacob could have fun with sergeant Littlebottom too 😁
Karina's absolute delight at 20:00 is everything to me
"So he's got pecs?" Karina was so ready to draw a hot Santa clown in that moment
The Ghibli render on that clown makes it look like 8 of them are about to try and kidnap the cat prince
PLEASE draw Twin peaks characters you've never heard of. Some suggestions:
The woodsman, a dirty bearded man who asks people for a light and then violently crushes their skulls.
The arm, a dancing little person in a red suit who evolves into an electricity tree.
Philip Jeffries, an FBI agent who gets too involved with the spirit world and turns into a giant metallic tea kettle.
The log lady, an old lady who recieves psychic advice from a log she carries around.
What's been happening lately is that i both forget which days Drawfee uploads and i forget what day of the week it is
This has resulted in me getting spooked by episodes just appearing either in my notifs or on the UA-cam app
No conclusion to this, just thanks for scaring me every once in a while
There's a special kind of madness in these stock photo challenges
Drawfee’s videos can basically all be summed up in one quote: “art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable” -Cesar Cruz
