@Viking Song Just curious why anyone would lie about a thing like that? Either you get enjoyment out of those sort of sounds or you don't. Seems like a rather strange thing to lie about. I don't have ASMR and I wouldn't sit through any of those purely sound-oriented videos, because what would be the point? What would I gain from pretending that I do?

When I was young (in the 1960s), my long hair was washed and rolled into rags on Saturday night for curls on Sunday morning. They're comfy for sleeping but, especially in a child's finer hair, sometimes the odd one would come unrolled overnight.

So, were these hairstyles primarily for the well to do who could have a lady's maid at hand to do all this furzing about every morning or what? I was a late arrival to my Mother who was the youngest of 7 children but I have one picture of my Grandmother holding my Mom as an infant about 6 mo. old in 1917. My Grandma had a hairstyle along these lines but topped with a medium sized straw hat. She most certainly had little to no time to create this tour de force every day! But, my Mother used to tell me that she explained that women used "rats" (but not back-combing) that were made of often, horsehair to comb the hair over to create that pouty coiled look. Anything to add to this account? I've always wondered. Alas, my Grandmother died when I was 12 years old so I didn't get a chance to "interview" her on this personally.

I have a butterfly rash so I don’t even own blush! It takes two coats of foundation to make my skin tone more even, not even like I don’t have any color. I absolutely hate my rash but at least it cuts down on how many products I use. 😂

It could be that you have some undetected food allergy causing a constant skin irritation. I did. My face was always red and my arms had become red also. I got tested and found out that I'm very allergic to wheat. I'm also allergic to oats. Just something to consider...

Girl me too, I use a green tinted color corrector bc the only concealer light enough to work is white paint and I like my freckles to show. I got mine at walgreens for like 15 bucks, it's a primer too so it isn't reminiscent of greasepaint like those little color corrector palettes from wet n wild.

Sarah Waite I’ve had allergy tests and I’m actually fine. But I have Lupus, and it causes a butterfly rash that gets worse when you have a flare. It’s also common on the chest, but thank goodness for me it’s mostly an issue just on my cheeks and bridge of my nose. Hopefully the better my treatments work, the less apparent it’ll become!

Cat T i am quite pale and neutral toned, and I prefer benefit’s high beam. Sheered out, it looks extremely natural, but can also be built up without looking glittery or sparkly in any way. It also blends wonderfully with cream blush. I recently started using a dupe from The Face Shop that is nearly identical side-by-side and half the price.

I'm pale af (I reflect the sun instead of absorb it and I burn in 15 minutes lol) and I've found that the baked highlighter from ELF works best for me. All the liquid ones are too dark for me, it looks like eyeshadow fallout. A pale gold shimmery eyeshadow works too, but silver makes me look dead. One of my friends who is a little tanner than both me and the model uses a liquid highlighter from fenty (I think) and it looks cute!

Yes. That hole in her nose is distracting. I'm wondering if the moisturizer and makeup sinks through the hole and into her nostril.

+CrowsEyeProductions *With all the female interest in the total glow to replicate C. D. Gibson's newspaper art,* a number of fingernail polishing compounds were marketed in the Edwardian era. Graf Brothers Incorporated (once located at 119 West 24th Street, New York, NY 10011-1913 USA) pioneered coordinated expendables with the HYGLO Manicure Preparations line, which included cuticle softener and remover, nail white, nail polish (paste, powder, and cake), and nail varnish (advertised as "Liquid Nail Polish").
