I'm a face painter. Two days ago, a girl (maybe 6) asked for a "creepy doll" design. I sang this song (the best I could remember, anyway) as I was painting her.
"Oh, what are you, creepy girl? Are you French, Italian, or one of those swarthy Gypsy types? Well, your accent suggests a Romance language, but I can't be sure. Well, we can definitely rule out a Germanic language, but it's okay! I'm a 'Bot without a country."
Seriously, it would be welcome now because Hollywood has produced a heck of a lot of bad films that are only worth watching if someone were cleverly riffing on them.
Kevin Murphy just rules. Great do-wop bit. I always thought he was under-rated in that show. But in the end I think everybody; Joel, Mike, Trace, and Kevin, all have had their limelight (oh, shit, I forgot FRANK!!). And that's all I care about. Oh, yeah, and Creepy Girl RULES.
I caught that too -- involuntarily broke into song as soon as the band got to that part. So they don't play that in ALL the end creditses? That would be a shame.
even though Tom Servo says that the accent rules out a Germanic language, ironically enough according to Wikipedia Creepy Girl was Swedish (and Swedish is a Germanic language). lol -- i still love this song :D
I've heard speculation that the robots personalities were downloaded off Joel's brain, hence why Joel always seems like he's missing a few brain cells...
Well, the parts that Tom is made of must have been made on Earth since they apparently were on the Satellite when it was launched with Joel onboard. And then he built the robots.
He probably would've found her at a cemetery, the actress died in a crash in 1986. so sad he sang a love song to her not knowing that she was dead for 4 years.
"Creepy Girl": Dope do-wop cinema comedy a la "Where Oh Werewolf?" in an apex performance from Tom Servo. "Yeah, isn't romance wonderful? Hit it, Cambot!" - Brilliant.
Annnddd.....It's now FINALLY recorded on my phone! hahaha I LOVE this song!!! Now I have it for a ringtone to annoy my boyfriend with in replace of me singing it all day...lol...we'll have the real thing now! *evil laughter* I loooveeee Servo!! Especially when he sings, soooooo cute!
What an emotional little robot... always quick to cry and slow to recover! Quite fittingly, the song sounds a lot like the tune of 'Tears on My Pillow'! And I agree with everyone, he's so cute! Kevin Murphy was right, Servo is 'a little left of centre'. And this guy who wrote an article was right, too. He is 'almost a Leo Buscaglia automaton.'
over 9000 internets to you good sir! I was wondering if anyone out there was awesome enough to post this particular clip and you my friend are that awesome.
how come these guys sing better then most popular artists these days? I wished their songs didn't get cut short cause of commercial sign :( , Example this and Hired the musical :P
@rcevey2 Many Norwegian and Scandinavian people are actually rather dark in color. The 'Creepy Girl' aka Katrina Corelli, was named in real life Ulla Strömstedt.
"I'll ditch these guys, If you'll be my Creepy Girl" that line always makes me think of John Lennon ditching the other 3 Beatles for the true GENUINE Creepy Girl, Yoko Ono.
I fell in love with my future wife watching this episode and we're still together 30 years later. She is my Creepy Girl.
I never noticed Joel and Crow slow dancing ... timeless
I wonder if the actress ever imagined many years later after the movie was made a tiny robot on a TV show would fall awkwardly in love with her.
You mean, Ulla Strömstedt?
Dexter Riley If that's her name, sure.
MrJustinArt tragically She died in a car crash in 1986
David Stevens I see. Well that's a shame..
lOL!!!
How do they manage to make a prop made of a gumball machine emote so much? Pure genius...
it's insanely genious
Because Kevin Murphy has awesome voice-acting and puppetry skills?
That "they" you're talking about is named Kevin
@@ezekielbrockmann114 indeed, I'm a big fan of Mr Murphy.
Seriously..Servo's voice is just ridiculously lovely, especially on the high notes. I know it's supposed to be silly but whatever.
Love that Servo
0:57 1:22 Frankie Valli is that you?????
I'm a face painter. Two days ago, a girl (maybe 6) asked for a "creepy doll" design. I sang this song (the best I could remember, anyway) as I was painting her.
lmao at joel dancing with crow in the back
Don't you dare laugh, you Philistine, that was lovely!
Tom Servo singing, Joel and Crow dancing... There is too much to love here!
It’s perfect
am here for Joel & Crow's prom slowdance
"I'll give you scrolls and fish and tinker toys and wine."
Kevin Murphy has a great voice as Tom Servo
He has a great voice period!
That’s a fact
a lyric tenor of note
0:27
Crow: I smell a song coming on
Kevin Murphy really should start a second career as a session singer. He certainly can carry harmony well.
Kevin Murphy *needs* to record a legit album. He has a fantastic voice.
"Oh, what are you, creepy girl? Are you French, Italian, or one of those swarthy Gypsy types? Well, your accent suggests a Romance language, but I can't be sure. Well, we can definitely rule out a Germanic language, but it's okay! I'm a 'Bot without a country."
interestingly enough, Creepy Girl was Swedish -- and Swedish IS a Germanic language.
Tom Servo has the most beautiful singing voice i have ever heard. ❤
Am I the only one who noticed towards the end, Crow starts to dance a little and Joel just looks at him in the darkness like, “don’t encourage him.”
Good eyes
They were such a great writing team. I wish MST were still on television.
Seriously, it would be welcome now because Hollywood has produced a heck of a lot of bad films that are only worth watching if someone were cleverly riffing on them.
I would love to see Kevin Murphy Mike Nelson and Trace Beaulieu form a doo wop band.
Reminds me of all the great Doo Wop songs of the '50's and when Whose Line Is It Anyway would have doo wop songs about death.
This is unironically a jam.
This song made me cry. I think all of us have had a creepy girl in our lives at one time.
First MST3K song that I heard and found myself singing all over the place.
"I just know that I love you!"
As soon as I noticed Joel and Crow dancing in the background I forgot Servo was singing for a while there.
The Skeleton Crew House Band plays the melody of this in the second episode of the new series.
I wish I could sing my love to Tom Servo just like this!😆
"We can definitely rule out a Germanic language" lol she was Swedish
I love Joel and Crow dancing in the background haha
I could listen to Tom Servo sing all day.
He turned it into a real production.
Erik Compton Tom Servo has that magic touch.
They used this music on MST3K on Netflix episode 2. Nice homage, guys.
I caught that too -- involuntarily broke into song as soon as the band got to that part. So they don't play that in ALL the end creditses? That would be a shame.
Yup, C is for the feeling of Uncertainty, R is for the Gifts you give me.... Awesome work Servo, as usual =)
This is one of an inspired show’s most inspired moments. Sheer comedic genius.
even though Tom Servo says that the accent rules out a Germanic language, ironically enough according to Wikipedia Creepy Girl was Swedish (and Swedish is a Germanic language).
lol -- i still love this song :D
Died fairly young, at Cannes (no idea whether she was there for the film festival). Rest in peace!
Get it Tom Servo
Tom Servo loves Creepy Girl.
That was Doo Wop at its' best.He should have made a full length recording of it.I'd have sung a bass line behind it.
Creepy Girl will live on forever in my heart.
I want a boy to sing this to me one day.
Oh, just give me a chance...Creepy Gir-hurl, won't you be mi-yiiine...
Only if you look like Wednesday Addams. 😅
@@luisreyes1963 If only...
Creepy Girl was played by Ulla Strömstedt, a swedish-born actress; So her accent is actually from a Germanic language!
Now I've got to watch Catalina caper!! Back in 2014 I watched in order every mst3k episode! After I watch Catalina caper I think I'll do it again!!
I'm a new MST3K fan , and this is by far one of my favorite moments from season 2 XD
Tom Servo was "born" on the SOL, and has never left it. How can he go "back" down to Earth?
I've heard speculation that the robots personalities were downloaded off Joel's brain, hence why Joel always seems like he's missing a few brain cells...
+Sincado that... Actually makes sense. Especially during season 1. Joel is SUPER somewhere else that whole season. :)
+TBustah Repeat to yourself "It's just a show, I should really just relax."
+Benjamin Joy Yeah, yeah, I know.
Well, the parts that Tom is made of must have been made on Earth since they apparently were on the Satellite when it was launched with Joel onboard. And then he built the robots.
This episode changed my life. No really.
I wonder if Tom went and found Creepy Girl after they landed on Earth.
He probably would've found her at a cemetery, the actress died in a crash in 1986.
so sad he sang a love song to her not knowing that she was dead for 4 years.
Thanks Satan
tuberbotto: Joel did sing with some (uncharacteristic) gusto on the "Hike Up Your Pants" number on the "Daddy-O" episode, I think it was.
So... a talking bubblegum machine doing a "Grease" homage to a female character in a bad film.
What's not to like?
How does Kevin have such a great freaking voice?
“R is for the gifts you give me...” I’m pretty sure Kevin wrote this. XD
I love all of this song, but my favourite line is "R is for the gifts you give me every time you smile".
This pluck is what the current Tom servo is missing
"I got hit in the head with a crowbar and I love you!" lol
Joel's dancing with Crow: LOL!!!
I gave my girl tinkertoys and wine, and she wasn't so impressed...just not creepy enough, I guess.
Gotta getchu a girl who’s creepy, mate. Don’t worry, the right creepy girl will find you.
This song has been stuck in my head since the first time I heard it.
Impressive! Kevin can sing.
Honestly, Kevin has an amazing voice 💚
Just saw this on IFC and lmao so I had to look it up! FYI it's MST3K S2E4
the noise servo comes out with at 2:39 is too cute and funny lol
@lecagot2 It's heartbreaking every time Servo has a breakdown. He's so sensitive...
Hiliarous episode thanks for uploading my favorite scene 😊
I guess if you're born in space and under the thumb of an evil corporation bent on galactic domination, you would be a bot without a country.
Joel (grabbing his mug): I need a freaking drink...
"Gee, what's wrong, Tom Servo? You look as upset and downtrodden as a little robot with inarticulate limbs CAN look."
"i think that was super cute, cool and very romantic"
What an emotional little robot... always quick to cry and slow to recover! Quite fittingly, the song sounds a lot like the tune of 'Tears on My Pillow'! And I agree with everyone, he's so cute!
Kevin Murphy was right, Servo is 'a little left of centre'. And this guy who wrote an article was right, too. He is 'almost a Leo Buscaglia automaton.'
there's a little of 'Since I Don't Have You' in this joint as well
over 9000 internets to you good sir! I was wondering if anyone out there was awesome enough to post this particular clip and you my friend are that awesome.
Get me a tissue...sniff!
0:57 1:22 1:59 2:15 Frankie Valli is that you?????
The adaptations are wrong, robots CAN feel love
God I love this show
"Earth angel, earth angel..."
I mean.
"Creepy girl. Will you be mine?"
My new favorite song!
@HolyHammerStrike - It's from Season 2, Episode 4 - Catalina Caper.
Ohh Creepy Girl... This Episode is a Top Ten for me!
Well edited, all together.
The best OTP
Props to you Mr. Murphy.
This is my favorite song from MST3K.
The difference between Murphy's Servo and the terrible one in the reboot is astounding.
Who voiced Tom? He can sing
Kevin Murphy
Kevin Murphy
Kevin Murphy
Joel's dancing with Crow!!!
Tom Servo is soooooooooooooooo cute singing this song!!!
The greatest love song in doo wop format ever recorded post Dion & The Belmonts...
how come these guys sing better then most popular artists these days? I wished their songs didn't get cut short cause of commercial sign :( , Example this and Hired the musical :P
"But that's just what I get for dating a girl who's cre-HEE-peeee!"
xD
Crow and Joel dancing is so fun :D
I think Rick Springfield said it best: "You know I wish that I had Creepy Girl."
2:15 i didnt know tom servo could sing the high
@rcevey2 Many Norwegian and Scandinavian people are actually rather dark in color.
The 'Creepy Girl' aka Katrina Corelli, was named in real life Ulla Strömstedt.
dank voice
@tsartodd I'm glad to hear that, since I pegged her as Germanic. So much for the idea of pale, blond Nordic folks.
Oh creepy girl, my eyes pour out to you in heaves and droves of iridescent shapes and stars through the sky, but I don't care...
Sorry, R2-D2, HAL-9000, and Bender Rodriguez. But Tom Servo will always be my favorite robot.
Woo hoo oo hoo !
Cree-hee-pee Ger-her-erl !
Wah-oo
Ah-ha-ah-oo-hooo !
"I'll ditch these guys, If you'll be my Creepy Girl" that line always makes me think of John Lennon ditching the other 3 Beatles for the true GENUINE Creepy Girl, Yoko Ono.
thanks :) i thought it meant you couldn't express yourself properly and didn't know how it applied to arms
