I visited Ko Lahn the other day. Visited all them beaches you mentioned. It was really worth it. I also visited Ko Sak yesterday too. These islands are real gems in Pattaya. People need to visit them!! Xx

I stayed overnight on Koh Larn for 2 nights. After last ferry at 5pm the island is like a ghost town. Very relaxing...maybe too quiet.

Lovely day at the beach with the Mrs Trev! I’m like you, love the beach but I can’t lay out in the sun for hours and hours, I need to walk around and explore. Nothing beats a good meal and a cold beverage with a view like that 🎉 cheers 🍻

A no jet ski beach is a place I would go to. I haven't been out to Koh Larn in over 20 years. It sure is different. We used to do a sailing and running race back in the day. The sailboats were all Hobiecats or Nacra's. It made for a fun day and lots of food and beer after the race.

Thanx on the great vid! Xanadu resort on Koh Larn is great place! Was there for two days in March. Going back for two more days in October. The restaurants at night along the beach makes for a super dinner. Waves, brews, munchies all add up to a great night.

Another great video, was nice meeting you again last week ! I love Tien Beach , they also have gorgeous small exclusive resorts for a romantic stay over like MYTH Koh Larn ! Another very cool cafe with fantastic views is the Matata Bay cafe near Ta Yai Beach. The shooting range is also right around the corner ! Ohhh and your bar crawls are an experience that’s all I’m gonna say ! See you again in August ! Greetings from NYC !

Koh Samet is my most favorite island, but in two weeks, I'll be in Koh Chang for the first time, so my choice could change.

Sai Kaew beach on the mainland, about 12 miles? south of Pattaya (in the naval base) is my favourite. Me and the Missus got taken there by a few (English) locals, about 15 years ago. Loved it. From the subsidies beer at the corner shop on the base, to the beach, everything was wonderful. Ban Amphur is OK for a few hours, with a serving of tempura prawns and fries (gets you a free lounger each).

My trip last year to Ko Lan, went to Tawaen Beach with a friend. We decided to have a ride on the banana boat. Saw young man, paid for 2 (about 500 baht). When we came back the young man I had paid was not there. The rider of the Jet ski asked for the money for the ride. Lucky a lady doing massages on the beach, chimed in saying, yes I saw them pay. That was the end of the matter. Moral of story, banana boat ride or other service, ask for a receipt.

I like Koh Larn quite a bit. Koh Samet and Koh Chang are nice too. Koh Samui a bit too busy for my taste, but Koh Tao nice and peaceful (perhaps too much hahaha). We had rooms right next to ocean, so I had the ocean tides sing me to sleep each night it was nice.

We did the 30THB ferry and the main beach in Feb, busy yes, but certainly not hard work.
Koh Sichang interesting but quiet, Larn is great and definitely get a lounger!.

Having enjoyed the bar scene in Jomptien, many people seem to migrate to the Uk, Canada, or Australia. I was at a club in Sydney the other night, and half the ferangs from Pattaya were there!

Went there in feburary and have to say its a gorgeous place but have to say it was crazy the amount of people there, went around a lot of beaches and couldn't get a chair at any of them but thats life lol

Another great vlog Trev. I have always wanted to visit Koh Larn but as of yet never got round to it. I was hoping to go last trip but as they say, never make plans. I think my problem is I’m actually living on a small island right now and the pull to Koh Larn is not as strong as a few well established venues I have come to love and visit on a regular basis!! 😜😜😜. Once I leave this place for good in November there is an excellent chance I will want to sample island life again and you have shown how easy it is to get there. All the very best mate 🍺🍺🍺🍺👍🏻

8:36 see that building in far distance, you can go, there is a viewpoint, its abbandoned and theres no one there. there is also a couple of big view points, few in the mountains, there is buddha statue, one is just off the mountain road, many people stand by the road on platform and take pictures and there is one view point, curvy thin road leads to it, at the top a telephone tower and a platform. you need to rent a motorbike to see these places. in the far north of koh larn there are cillages and kind of slums but interesting to see

The last time I was there it was 1999there was nothing but a beach &deck chairs but it was a great trip I was hung over me & my ferind we were on a big boat and we hit a swel and the boat was going up &dowm leaning to the left an Wright u could spot the to irsh men on the top deck with a beer and we hit the bars in Pattaya drinking beer playing pool I loved cha am beach e &my thia grilferind would spend the day on the beach all day eating &drinking I bought a flot for her I showed how to get on it &she loved itu don’t have to party all the time we had a great time

Nice video and some good advices for newbie’s! At some points the video unfortunately stopped just at the moment that I was wondering how you go along with things. For example the (baht?) taxi driving you to the other side of Koh Larn or like how did you find your speedboat back to get back to Pattaya ?

I will probably visit Koh Larn in December or January and things like this goes through my mind… but in the worst case there are some nice hotels on the island I saw in other videos in the meanwhile.

If you want really beutiful beaches and island vibe sure koh samet is the best place close to pattaya
The main beach is great But if you rent a scooter and go down the island you find some really paradise beaches ( like aowai beach )

Never had you down as a flag chaser Trev. The best way that I’ve did it is go straight to the ferry pay 30 baht , then on Kho Larn get a Songtel to take me to what beach I want. TBH the ferry ride is a relaxing canter. I usually leave Bali hi pier about 08:30am and start to make my way back at 15:00, oh happy days, oh happy days 👍

I have driven all over Thailand top to bottom, i prefer Kho Samet for beaches not far from Bangkok, then some beaches in Phuket but have not been to Kho Samui yet with my beautiful Thai wife, that's is what I'd like to experience one day 🙏

Koh Larn is lovely
Haven't been to Koh Larn in years. I used to call it Koh Russia for obvious reasons. It now appears that the Chinese are also there. I always walked over the island to Samae beach due to its lesser popularity. I'll assume that things have changed in that respect judging by the queues for the ferries. I've never witnessed it so busy in the 17 years I've been visiting Pattaya.

The first and second beach you said you were at Tawean beach 😂 and then referred to the first beach when at 2nd beach as Samae beach 🏖️. Great vdo though and reconfirms why I call Thailand home!

Great video trev, I see all the folks with blankets and umbrellas, is the sun really that harsh? I live in Las Vegas and here it is absolutely scorching so I may fit right in a little less humidity here by far actually. Here it's 149° Fahrenheit and no humidity in the summer all the guys from the uk can't relate. I think I'll be just fine in pattaya haha😅

@@Buzzinpattaya I've worked in the sun here for years, had blisters on my scalp and ears. Probably a prime candidate for skin cancer in the future 🤷♂️ but as I've aged a bit I know I want to live in warmer climates and possibly not here in the states. You know the drill. I always love that you reply directly to my comments. We had a youtube channel popular here for some years in trucking but I'm ready.to make a trip.

Koh larn is nice. Great escape from pattaya. I'm stuck in room in chaiyaphum with gout in fingers believe it or not. Had blood test steroid injection and tablets 360 bht. Brilliant service. Rather koh larn though

Went there first time back in 2012....ferry out to the island, that stopped way out from the beach, then transferred to one of the long boats to the beach.
That was fine BUT.......come 3pm everyone wants to go back to Pattaya....big rush, people wading out towards the long boats to get picked up with everything you own in a plastic bag over ones head, surf up to the chest...not a good setup.
The next time we went I believe was the other side of the island where there was a jetty...much more common sense.
