Great comprehensive guide to the beaches at Koh Larn…prefer the quieter beaches myself too away from the Indian & Chinese tour groups…inexpensive & not far away from the madness of pattaya. Be nice to know some good hotels to stay a few nights too…👀🤔😎
Thanks for the comment. Coincidentally I was talking with some friends a day or 2 back. And there might be another trip coming up in the not too distant future. I'd certainly like to get back over there!
When I went there, the beach had been completely occupied by vendors and their deckchairs etc. They were not busy, but the beach (the one the ferry leaves from Tawen?) had been totally occupied by them and therefore there was basically no public access. Maybe I chose the wrong beach. The best part of the trip was the ferry ride back. There was a (badly) tattooed, English Chav on the ferry and he was running wild up and down the boat cursing and drawing the ire of the crew for various infractions. Worth the money to watch him embarrass himself and nearly go overboard several times. I'm sure he was on something.
Thanks, David. I can believe he was on something. Unfortunately it appears to have been your boat! I must admit I do prefer the quieter beaches. After all, that's why most people go. To get away from the crowds! There are some even quieter ones. But you'd need a boat for those probably!
Great travel vlog for Koh Lan BC. Have been to just 2 of the beaches. Will go back after Songkran as I do not like the big crowds. Last time I went was very peaceful, so the idea of having to hear jetski's or banana boats racing around does not appeal to me. Am sure I can find a beach to relax at.
Thanks a lot Ric. If you don't like busy and jetskis then I'd say Tawaen Beach is not the place for you! I think Ta Yai is a lovely place if you haven't been to that one. Give it a try, but after Songkran!
If you get the chance, try to see them all! Nual Beach is nice, but my personal favourite was Ta Yai in the North of the island. Nice restaurant, wonderful beach, and without the hordes of day trippers! Thanks for your comments!
great travel jobbie. good to know ferry had the latest in life jackets and didn't see any sharks on the beaches trying to sell you stuff. Maybe forget motorbikes and golf buggies, hire elephant.
Thanks, Bigbopper. Life jackets was weird. On the way out everyone was made to wear one. On the way back, nobody! Must admit the golf buggy was a bit on the slow side. Thought I might have to push it up some of the hills!
Great videos, very informative!
Thanks, Charlie. Hope you are doing well. Somewhere to visit on your next trip!
Great graphics and editing as ever. Nice job. 😊
Cheers, Phil. I'm practicing for another Chanel 🤣 ;-)

THANK YOU
My pleasure!

Great vid! Always great to see more of the island as I've only been to monkey beach so far.

Do you need a license for the golf buggy ?
Thanks for the question, Paul. No, they did ask for anything at all. In fact, they didn't even want the money until I got back!
Where can you rent a golf cart?
There's a shop at Tawan Beach. Nearly at the bottom of the steep hill.
