  • Welcome to today's woodturning project! In this video I am turning (for a first time) a cube, made out of plywood and resin. To be honest, I was a bit worried about turning it, but it wasn't so difficult as I expected. The only failure in the project was, that the resin started overheating (I apparently put too much) and it didn't turn out clear. However, I decided to share the video with you.
For the finish I used Danish oil.
    Hope you enjoy the video!

I'm always pleasantly surprised at how pretty plywood becomes when it's turned. Beautiful bowl!

I loved the method of spacing everything out you used and then to hold it in that position, brilliantly simple. Didn't think the resin was going to be enough, I was wrong!
Was thinking Lotus bowl, but no you went for a simpler shape ... the plywood, resin and how you put it together, created a truly exceptional piece ... it truly came alive when you added the finish 👍

Hi, friend! I am writing through google translator. You can make a transparent cup for the kitchen, and at the bottom there are honeycombs with real honey and a few dead bees. (Specially, of course, you don’t need to kill, but I think there are such people in any apiary). I think it will be very nice!

Because it was mounted on a corner, not a flat side of the cube.

    • @dallashensley5488

A cube has 8 corners. When you put two corners at head and tail stocks, that leaves 6 corners. Those 6 corners line up 3 and 3. Turn up to the 3 corner points.
